Outstanding team doing a fantastic job looking after the kids. Facilities are good and staff come up with varied activities.
Some additional things add to the great experience:
- pram storage
- fruit for parents and kids in reception
- parking
Great additions would include:
- pedestrian gate access
- bike stands
- more space in pram storage

- trips for the kids, eg to local library or playground

Busy bees wollaton is a very special nursery.
It prides itself on the safety and growth of its children.

We have just signed our next child up to the nursery as it is that good.

For it being a chain nursery it feels very family ran.

I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could.
Our daughter has attended the nursery since Oct 24. Overall we've had a very positive experience. She's mostly been happy to attend with minimal upset, giving us confidence that she feels safe and well cared for.
There have been a number of staff changes in the toddler room, which have occasionally led to some inconsistency. The staff are caring & approachable, and we value honest handovers, although the level of detail can occasionally vary between staff.
Our daughter has food allergies, which we're confident are managed well, but the meal records in the Busy Bees app aren't always accurate. As we're keeping a food diary, accurate records would be really helpful.

Whenever we've raised concerns, we've always felt listened to. The team have taken our feedback seriously and we've seen positive changes as a result, which we really appreciate. We'd happily recommend the nursery to other parents.

Our children have been attending Busy Bees Nursery Wollaton in Nottingham for the last 3.5 years. The staff have always been caring, encouraging and informative, and both of our children have thrived in this setting. The environment itself is spacious and well-equipped, with lots of opportunities for outdoor play. Very detailed reports have been provided on their development at every stage and there have been lots of regular photo updates via the nursery app. Highly recommend this nursery.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Busy Bee's Nursery. From day one, the staff have been kind, caring, and welcoming, making our daughter feel safe, happy, and excited to attend every day. The team genuinely cares about each child and supports their development in a fun, nurturing environment. We've seen such a positive change in our daughter's confidence, social skills, and learning since she started. The activities are engaging, the nursery is always clean and well organised, and communication with parents is excellent. We always feel informed and reassured that our daughter is receiving the very best care. Every member of staff goes above and beyond, and it's clear they love what they do. We are incredibly grateful for everything Busy Bee's has done for our family and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding childcare. A truly deserving 5-star nursery

Our son joined Busy Bees a year ago after we moved from overseas. From our first meeting at the nursery, we knew our son would be in very good hands - in fact he didn't want to leave.
Our son has been in the babies class and is now in the toddlers class and he absolutely loves it. The teachers are kind, caring and really help kids personalities to shine. The facilities are lovely and spacious with a variety of activities for kids each day. The chef is lovely and caters delicious, healthy food and has a magic touch in getting our son to eat food he absolutely refuses to eat at home.
The admin and management staff are very welcoming, helpful and are always available to help with any questions parents may have.

This is a wonderful nursery and I could not recommend it more

My children have been attending busy bees daybrook since 2022. My eldest is in school now and my youngest is currently in the baby room.
The level of care is fantastic. The staff are always welcoming, kind and enthusiastic.
Both my children have loved their time at busy bees daybrook. We have never had any issues since they both started.
During the hot period last week they managed to do their upmost to keep the babies cool encouraging water play and provided extra shaded areas outside.

Me and my husband would absolutely recommend busy bees daybrook, they have cared for our girls like their own.

My two year old son started here in January. We had re located from across the country and it was a massive change for him. Abby & Kerry were so patient with him and helped him settle in so well despite the huge change. Management also do the best they can for our circumstances and allow me to book extra days when need be which is so helpful. Overall the facilities are good, especially the outside areas and it's great that they go outside as much as possible, even in the winter months when it's dry enough!

I can't thank busy bees enough for the support they give to my daughter. She's been here now for 2.5 years and has come on so much thanks to all the staff. Including her potty training. Nothing has ever been to much for the staff and I appreciate all they do in there jobs. My daughter has made some lovely friendships with children and staff. Thanks again busy bees! 10 out of 10 from us! X

We would like to recognise the outstanding care and support provided by the Bombo 2 team and our sons Key Worker (BM). They and BM consistently went above and beyond to make our child's nursery experience positive, engaging and tailored to his interests. Whether through sharing his favourite vehicle books - even his key worker creating one, arranging special experiences such as exploring a police van, or gently encouraging him to visit the pre-school room, every interaction helped build his confidence, curiosity and independence. The BM and the team created a warm, nurturing environment where he felt happy and supported. We would also like to express our gratitude to the chef (S), she is incredible at what she does, the meals and variety are thoroughly enjoyed by our son!

The care, dedication, and support shown by the staff have been good, and it gives me great peace of mind knowing my son is in such capable and caring hands.
A special mention must go to Kelly, who is always warm, friendly, and welcoming. She makes it easy to approach her with any questions, and I always feel reassured after speaking with her about my son's day.

I would also like to recognise Carley, my son's key worker. As a parent, I naturally worry about my child, but Carley always takes the time to update me on the activities he has been involved in and the progress he is making. Her communication and reassurance mean so much and have helped me feel confident that he is thriving.

My son has been going to busy bees since January 2026 and I can't fault the whole experience. I was so nervous for my son to start as I've never left him before but Katie and team in bombo1 has been amazing. Katie and the team update me with everything my son gets up to throughout the day and nothing is too much for any of them. My son loves going and now runs off and is excited to go which makes me so reassured he's getting the love and support he needs from his key workers.

Our son joined the nursery when he was just 10 months old, and as he prepares to leave for school this September, we couldn't be more grateful for the care, support, and encouragement he has received over the years. The staff have created such a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where he has grown into a confident, happy, and independent little boy. Knowing he was safe, cared for, and enjoyed his days at nursery gave us complete peace of mind. Thank you to the entire team for the incredible role you've played in his early years, we will always look back on his time at busy bees with great fondness and would highly recommend it to families looking for a nursery.

Switched to Busy Bees Daybrook after a year at another local nursery and it was the best move. Our girl adores the staff and in particular Kerry, Maddison & Megan, and she has made some lovely friends. The food variety is good and my daughter is never scared to try new things. The app they use is a good way for parents to be kept up to date with the children's day. The outdoor space is great and she's learning so much. Massive thank you to the whole team! I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. All of the staff are amazing. They have supported my son in every aspect of his development, and I genuinely do not believe he would be where he is today without their care, support and dedication.
As a mum of a child with additional needs, finding the right childcare setting was incredibly important. From the very beginning, the staff have gone above and beyond, not only for my son but for me as a parent too. They have taken the time to get to know him, understand his needs and help him reach milestones that once felt out of reach. They have also played a huge part in building his confidence.

Every member of staff shows kindness, patience and understanding, and I am so grateful for everything they have done for us.

My son has been at Busy Bees for almost a year. I have had no problems at all the whole time. The nursery are very accomodating when it comes to needing early starts or a change in hours. My son is always happy and is incredibly well looked after. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the office door is always open to management. Food is absolutely amazing, my son eats better than I do most of the time! The app makes it really easy to follow my son's progress day to day (nappy changes, what and how much his eaten, activities etc) and also easy to pay the fees and request extra days. Thank you Busy Bees for making my life so much easier and always sending home a happy boy!

Review of Busy Bees Southwell from T C (Father of Child) published on 11 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Choosing a nursery is a huge decision, but for us, the stakes felt even higher. As the parents of a deaf child, I was skeptical that a large chain like Busy Bees could offer the attention he needed. I had my heart set on a smaller, independent setting-but I was proven very wrong.
Deciding on Busy Bees was one of the best choices we've made. They haven't just "accommodated" our son; they've truly embraced him. They've bent over backward to help him thrive, and his development is proof of their dedication.
The staff treat him as an individual, focusing on his potential, not his disability. They adapted quickly to his needs, learning basic sign language and ensuring they always face him when speaking so he can engage fully.

If you are a parent of a child with or without additional needs and are hesitant about a larger setting, please take this as reassurance. The team at Busy Bees proved my worries wrong in the best way possible. We feel incredibly lucky to have them. Thank you!!

Our child started at Busy Bees in Southwell when she was 9 months old and is now 2 and a half. She settled in so quickly and continues to enjoy going to nursery.
The staff do everything they can to accommodate routines and changes to routine. Staff are all very friendly and communication between nursery and home is great.
Busy Bees has a great curriculum, that really nurtures and enhances to development of every child.
What we really liked about Busy Bees compared to other nurseries we looked round, was the engagement between staff and children and the relationships they take the time to build.

We would thoroughly recommend thus nursery to any prospective parents!
