Would agree totally with the last few comments the place has taken a nose dive from what used to be a lovely friendly place to take your child is now the total opposite absolute carnage every week. Staffing levels very poor which explains a lot as you cannot blame the staff for not wanting to work there anymore after experiencing what it used to be like compared with now. Would never recommend this place to anybody. Last year would have recommended it and couldn't praise it enough but the demise has been drastic and rapid. Also if you have an issue you will be told that management will get back to you however they will not get back to you and this is the same as you move up the ladder to nursery manager and area manager your emails and calls will be ignored. This is not just an isolated incident it's the same issue with a number of parents. Some of the staff are great however the workload put on them is unfair due to kids not wanting to go to unknown strangers aka agency workers.

We couldn't be happier with the care and support our daughter has received. From day one, all of the staff have been so kind, welcoming and genuinely caring, making her feel safe and happy every day.

It's been lovely to see how much she has grown in confidence and learned new skills.

Communication with us has always been excellent, and we know she's in safe hands whenever she's there. We are so grateful to everyone for the love, patience and dedication they show every child.

We would highly recommend this nursery to any family looking for a safe place to look after their child!

Both of my daughters have been looked after by Kayleigh and Clara, they do a great job and have always been friendly, approachable, and supportive. It's clear how much they care about the children and how hard they work to create a positive environment for them.

We've always felt confident leaving our girls in their care, and they've played a big part in helping them settle, learn, and develop. I would and do recommend them to any parent looking for a nursery where their child will be well looked after.

Both my little boy and little girl have gone to Busy Bees since they were 10 months old. They have the absolute best time every day! The staff are always lovely and helpful and take great care of both my kids. I am super grateful to have found this lovely place. I will be sad when my little boy leaves to go to school in September.

The staff at Busy bees have always been amazing with our daughter and she loves attending and always goes in with a smile on her face and comes home with one! They have been teaching her so much and she can already write her name along with other stuff. The care and attention from the staff is outstanding and I always highly recommend the nursery to other parents. Thank you again to all the team!

I now have two little girls who have gone to Busy Bees Spital and we've had a lovely experience - the staff are all so approachable, do their utmost to sure the kids settle in well, and are such trustworthy caretakers of my kids. The different rooms have lots of interesting and age-appropriate activities, and the outdoor space is also generous. We receive regular updates and photos via the app, and also summaries at pick up. It's also straightforward to book extra one-off sessions as needed.

Busy Bees is a fabulous nursery, My child has met all education milestones with the support from staff, My child enjoys their time here and enjoys learning, making friends and especially snack times, The staff keep you updated daily with your child's day on their care dairy and also in person. Staff are brilliant when it comes to toilet training and help with this by supporting parents and encouraging your child.
I'd highly recommend this nursery to any parent,

Friendly, supportive, clean, comfortable environment.

We have had a brilliant experience at Busy Bees Thurstaston so far. Our daughter started at 6 months old and has been at the nursery for 9 months now.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Every individual is kind, caring, thoughtful and seems to genuinely take an interest in our daughter's development.
It is clear from the photographs we are sent, and the updates that we receive, that our little one is settled, well cared for and most of all has lots of fun.
The management is very good, the nursery is flexible with swapping days and I have had no difficulty when I have requested extra days if something has come up. Our daughter has only been sent home unwell a couple of times, and on each occasion it has been for a valid reason.

I would, and do, recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for somewhere for their child to start.

Since the previous management team and several experienced staff members left, the setting appears unsettled, poorly managed, and lacking clear leadership. There are constant staffing changes, with unfamiliar agency staff regularly caring for my child, affecting consistency, routines, and emotional security. I often struggle to get hold of managers, concerns and complaints go unanswered, and communication is poor. I have personally raised concerns and received little reassurance or response. I am also concerned about staffing levels and qualifications within the nursery. There appear to be insufficient appropriately qualified staff across the rooms, raising concerns about supervision, safeguarding, and whether my child's individual needs are being met consistently. My child's personal care can appear rushed due to staffing pressures. My child has become increasingly unsettled and now does not want to attend nursery. I have noticed increased clinginess, emotional distress, and disrupt

It has been so easy for my daughter to settle at this nursery and the staff have been so kind, caring, and thoughtful with her time there. They keep us updated throughout the day and form genuine connections with the children in their care. All the children seem to enjoy their time there, and the staff are always planning new activities to help them learn.

I enrolled my autistic daughter in Spital nursery and it was the best decision I have ever made, my daughter has become more confident, full of enthusiasm. She absolutely loves going to nursery, and absolutely adores the staff. The staff are so welcoming and extremely helpful, supportive and extremely patient. I can't thank busy bees Spital enough for everything they have done for my daughter.
They have a lovely garden for the children to play in. They have taught my daughter so much and they made learning so easy and fun for my daughter.

I would highly recommend busy bees Spital to everyone.

The staff in Bombos One at Busy bees Thurstaston are lovely and have enabled our daughter to settle into nursery so well.

The communication is excellent and we really appreciate the updates and photos we receive. It's so nice knowing she's happy and seeing what she's upto.

We feel so happy with everything they do to obviously ensure our little one is safe and happy but also bringing her on developmentally.

We can't thank the staff enough for all that they do.

Overall Experience

The decline in this nursery over recent months has been shocking. Since the previous management team left, the whole setting feels completely unsettled and poorly managed.

The building itself is dated, resources are sparse, and there are very rarely engaging activities set up for the children in the mornings. Staff often look unhappy and uninterested in being at work, which creates a negative atmosphere throughout the nursery.

The children appear confused and unsettled due to the constant changes and lack of structure. There seems to be no clear leadership or direction anymore. Communication is also extremely poor - the area manager is nowhere to be seen and does not respond when parents try to make contact.

The two supporting managers who have recently been brought in do not appear confident or experienced in running the nursery, which only adds to the ongoing issues within the setting.

This nursery used to have potential, but standards have fallen massively. Would not recommend

This nursery used to provide a lovely, warm, and homely environment where children felt cared for and supported. The staff were attentive, experienced, and genuinely passionate about the wellbeing and development of the children. It was once a place that parents could fully trust and feel confident in. Sadly, over time there has been a major decline in standards. Many long-standing staff members have left, resulting in constant changes and a noticeable loss of experience and consistency within the team. Management no longer seem as approachable, honest, or communicative as they once were. Despite repeatedly raising concerns, there has been little to no improvement. Communication with parents has declined significantly, including updates regarding children's progress and wellbeing. Most concerning is that my child has recently shown signs of neglect, particularly around hygiene and support during toilet times, which has been extremely upsetting.

Overall Experience

The nursery has significantly declined since management left in February and I am extremely concerned about my child's wellbeing. There is a lack of leadership, with the manager rarely present or communicating, leaving senior staff to manage arrivals and parents. I have been left outside with my child for 30 minutes with no communication due to staffing ratio issues, which is unacceptable. Communication is poor and the app is not being used effectively. Heavy reliance on agency staff means my child is regularly greeted by unfamiliar adults, causing upset and distress. My child, previously happy and confident, is now emotional about attending and has regressed in potty training. Concerns I raise feel dismissed or not taken seriously. Jade, a senior staff member, has been consistently supportive and reassuring and has been the main reason I felt able to continue attending, so it is very concerning she is leaving. Stephen has also been helpful. Currently isn't safe, stable or well managed

Lovely nursery and wonderful kind staff. I get updates and photos of what my daughter has been up to. Also what she has eaten.
She loves the garden and any messy activities.

She loves going to nursery once I have left as does get upset when I drop her off. The staff are lovely and calm her down.

I have nothing but great things to say of the nursery, staff and care my son has. The staff make me feel totally at ease with my sons welfare with timely updates, on the app and verbally including photos of his day. As a full time working mum it is great to know he is well cared for in every aspect (food, development, sleep etc) I genuinely feel we are part of the Beechwood family.

The whole team at Busy Bees Nursery in Formby are excellent. My daughter has slight seperation anxieties and isn't a fan of being dropped off, but they have nurtured her and give Darcie everything she needs to thrive. She even had a phase of not eating, which worried us all, but the staff did everything they could to encourage her to resume eating, and she now enjoys her meals. Darcie has also made 'best friends', which makes me and her father so happy. We love the updates on the new app and after initally choosing a childcare setting which didn't suit Darcie, we feel so lucky that we found Busy Bees.
