My daughter absolutely loves coming into nursery. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, I feel at ease knowing she is safe and looked after. My daughter always comes home happy and loves to tell me about what she has been doing throughout the day.

My daughter has been with Busy Bees Daybrook Day Nursery since 2019 and now has left for her transition to school.
I couldn’t fault this nursery, the environment and staff are welcoming, activities are creative and stimulating. The move into pre-school is noticeable in development activities preparing
them for school. My daughter has grown in confidence, numerical and written skills.
The outside space always has fun activities for them to engage in fun and imaginative play. Since the new manager has joined I have seen the nursery going the extra mile, the take-home library books, activity bags to take home on the given topic of the week and parents' coffee station - all special touches to get parents doing stuff at home with children. All of my daughter's key workers have been excellent. The graduation was so special and the staff went to such effort to celebrate each child individually.

My little boy is 15 months old and has attended Busy Bees Nursery in Daybrook since December 2022 when he was 9 months old.
I was anxious sending my little boy to nursery as I was unsure how he would cope or settle in but the reassurance from the staff has been amazing. He loves nursery and I see
him developing all the time. He attends 3 days a week and the staff are so welcoming, friendly, polite and professional. Nothing is a problem and they made me as a mother feel at ease from the get-go and I wouldn’t send my child anywhere else.
I love the updates provided and the fact the staff genuinely care and are on hand to also provide advice if needed.
The office staff are also so nice and helpful and always greet parents and children in the morning.
Special mention to the centre director, senior room manager and 3 other staff members in particular, although all the staff are truly brilliant!

My child has attended the nursery for over a year and I could not be more happy. The food, play spaces and staff are excellent and they are very attentive to the children’s needs. The recent changes to management have brought changes and new ideas that have made the nursery an even better place for
both the adults and children.

Our child has attended this nursery from the baby room at 8 months old all the way through to pre-school and has loved it here and thrived. Looks forward to going to nursery and leaves happy at the end of every nursery day. We went from 3 half days to 3 full days easily after 1.5 years old and transition
to different stages was well managed. Communication is good and you can check online throughout the day to see what they are up to, how they're eating/sleeping, if you are nervous. Good handover at the end of sessions. Great, friendly staff who genuinely care for and are interested in the children as individuals. Clean environment varied activities and good resources and facilities especially outdoors.

My daughter has recently started Busy Bees in Daybrook and after initially being really apprehensive to leave us at the door, she now loves going and her confidence has increased massively. All the staff are lovely and friendly and have been able to answer any question I’ve had well- about my daughter
and the nursery itself. I would highly recommend Busy Bees to any other parents considering putting their child in nursery.

My son has been attending Busy Bees since February. We are so impressed with the nursery. The facilities are great and the staff are so lovely and approachable. Nothing is ever too much. They were able to have him at short notice when we had a childcare issue. He participates in lots of fun, stimulating
and educational activities appropriate for his age. We are never in doubt that he is in safe hands when he’s at nursery, he has extra supervision needs due to his sleep apnea and his care plan gives us confidence that he is kept safe with individualised plans and procedures in place for him. He has a great variety of nutritional foods and we are so impressed with the menus. We feel that we are kept well informed of his days at nursery by detailed handovers and the app. We were really happy with the staff’s response when he wasn’t feeling well. We have lots of confidence in the nursery and would 100% recommend it to anyone. We are so glad we picked Busy Bees.

My daughter has been at Busy Bees since she was 10 months old and has truly blossomed during her time at this nursery! Everything from her social skills to her vocabulary have come on faster than I ever imagined. The staff are so welcoming to both parents and children and it is easy to address any queries
or questions about my daughter's day to day learning. I can't praise all the ladies enough for all their work with my daughter! Not a day has gone by that she hasn't wanted to go to nursery and we look forward to seeing how she grows in the next year!

May was our second month with Busy Bees and our little girl has really settled in. The staff are all so supportive to her needs and always keep us updated with how she’s doing and how her days have been. We love following her day on the app too. It’s great to get photos and updates throughout the day.

Both my boys attend one day a week at the moment. The staff are always friendly and approachable. I feel at ease trusting them to look after my children. The staff are great at updating the app to see what the children have been up to/what they've eaten/any naps/nappies etc. They are always doing a
range of different activities and they love messy play! Overall we are really happy with the care the boys receive whilst at nursery - special shout out to the whole team who are amazing!

Both my daughter and son attend Busy Bees Daybrook and absolutely love it! The staff are all so friendly and have a caring nature. As a parent, I'm well informed of what they have done in the day and the activities they have been up to. They update the app regularly so I can see how they are getting
on during the day regarding eating sleeping any nappy changes etc and photos are also uploaded regularly. They also have a fantastic library section to encourage children to read at home and also a breakfast bar for parents in the morning which is a big hit!
Would recommend this nursery to anyone I can honestly say I trust them with my children 100%.

The staff are friendly and approachable. They make time to let you know how your child's day has been and accommodate your child's needs. The nursery app is very good. It's great to see how your child is getting on throughout the day. I asked for the details of meals to be included on the notifications
which they did. My son is always happy to go in to nursery. He started at 10 months and is now 20 months and very settled.

My daughter started nursery in 2022 and she absolutely loves it. It has really helped with her development she has always been stuck to myself and her mother as she was born in lockdown so wasn't around many people but now she integrates with more children and adults and we believe that has come from
her experience at nursery. Staff have been really good with her and she has formed some good relationships with them. The app the nursery has is excellent as it allows me to check how her day is going whilst at work and they have just added what foods she is actually eating which is a massive help as it helps us to be more creative at home. We were recommended this nursery by a few family members and we would be happy to recommend it to others ourselves

My eldest daughter started at Busy Bees at eleven months old in 2018 and she settled in great and stayed there until she started school! My youngest daughter started last year at the same age and I can't fault the staff with the care and love they have provided for both my two girls. They both have
thrived there and go into nursery happy and enjoy all the activities they do and it's lovely to get the updates and photos throughout the day on the app. Nothing Is too much trouble for the staff as my youngest has a dairy allergy and has always been catered for. I feel relaxed knowing my girls have been well looked after and love hearing about their day on pick up.

My son loves visiting this nursery and is always excited to go in and see the staff in reception and in his room. The activities he does whilst at nursery keep him stimulated and are challenging enough for his age. After hearing about his day it is always varied either playing outside, singing, puzzles,
painting etc! The staff are always friendly, they give detailed handovers in the evening at pick up times and have good policies in place for accidents and illness etc. I couldn't wish for a better childcare setting, I am confident in their care for my son and feel comfortable leaving him there to play.

My son first started attending Busy Bees in September 2018. He absolutely loved his time there. He was very settled, happy and absolutely thriving in the environment. He left to go to school in 2021 just after my daughter started. She has settled in well. As a child born in lockdown she has always been
nervous of new people and situations, but Busy Bees has consistently been a place she's happy and content to be. The staff are caring, kind and ensure there are suitable activities for all interests of the children. Children thrive under their care and feel safe and supported. As a parent, I have been so happy with the updates, photos and handovers. The staff are approachable and informative. We are very grateful to them for their care.

Our son moved to this nursery from a much smaller one. The staff were fantastic over the early weeks helping him to settle into the new environment and he really has come on leaps and bounds especially with his language skills.

The staff are knowledgeable about the children and show a real interest

in their development and happiness.

When other family members have collected him they have commented on how impressed they’ve been with the security, staff and building.

The management/Administration team are always welcoming and happy to help with queries.

We are so pleased with the nursery that we’ve already enrolled our daughter!

Current Review Score: 8.0 (8.041)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.0 (8.041) out of 10 for Busy Bees Daybrook is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.0 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Busy Bees Daybrook is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.041 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Daybrook is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 123 number of registered child places is 24.6. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 24.6 = 0.041
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
