I love Busy Bees Bromborough! The staff are absolutely lovely, caring, helpful and the focus on safety is fantastic.
The surroundings are pretty and green and set back from the road and the building is modern, clean and totally fit for purpose.
My daughter enjoys going to nursery and has progressed
so much in her development in the 9 months since she joined.
I feel happy going to work knowing that my daughter is cared for and given the time and care by staff who genuinely care.
I also love the app updates and the time spent sending photos and learning assessments are second to none.

Our little girl has been at Busy Bees for a few months and we couldn't be happier. The staff are all super friendly, and I really feel that they care for the kids and help them develop their little personalities.
The staff at Busy Bees are fantastic. They work hard, show personal care, and we always
feel supported by them.
Her cousins also went to Busy Bees in Bromborough and they recommended them to me.
We've seen amazing improvements in her language skills, and she has grown so much emotionally and socially.
We are very grateful for everything the staff at Busy Bees and what they do for my child. Thank you for all your hard work and care!

Baby room is amazing! My son runs in and he is greeted by all the lovely staff. His key worker deserves recognition for her attentiveness to her key children. My son gets an update, a photo or snapshot every session he's in. Staff in baby room always have lovely activities set up, painting and crafts.
I get Christmas cards, birthday cards handmade from my son, that staff have took time out to sit and do with him. Although the baby room garden grass looks a little tired, the staff have brightened the garden up with boards and resources during the milder months my son always has photos of him having fun with the cars and boat in the garden with baby room staff and that's what's it's all about. 10/10.

My daughter started in Busy Bees Bromborough after me removing her from another local nursery. Since my daughter has been attending, I have been more than happy with how caring, polite and supportive the staff have been towards both myself and my baby.
The staff don't just do what they're paid for,
they love the children like they're their own. My daughter will come home with braids in her hair.
She's always so happy to go into nursery and I love hearing about how her day has been when I pick her up. Staff are attentive with their posts on the app, so I can see what her nap time is and how she's eaten. Couldn't recommend this nursery more.

My son currently attends nursery 2 days a week, the staff in the baby room have gone above and beyond to make sure our minds are at ease that our child is in the best hands. My child goes into the staff happily which always speaks volumes to us! We receive daily updates and beautiful photos of him enjoying
himself at nursery. The centre is a very welcoming place, I've always felt great whilst being in the nursery welcomed by friendly staff that go above and beyond to ensure the safety of my child.

Have tried to make a formal complaint previously and unsuccessfully. Phoned social services about me before when speaking to me and turned out my daughter has thrush, nothing sinister and I am actually a children's social worker! My daughter nearly knocked her tooth out in the garden and had to see
an emergency dentist. When I turned up it had just happened and staff were standing around. Some staff are lovely and very friendly, some staff are not friendly and do not come over when waiting and wait for someone else to. Asked numerous times for an apron to be put on my child, rarely happens and some of the paint doesn't seem to come off. Staff have thrown away three pairs of knickers despite from first time me asking them to please not do this again as I can get stains out.
As said some staff are great, however, Busy Bees itself and management are poor in my opinion, but my daughter now loves coming here and has made some very close friends. Also, it's near grandparents.

Our daughter swapped to this nursery last October after we felt she wasn’t settled in her old nursery. After only a couple of sessions, we noticed a huge difference in how happy she was coming home. The staff were incredible, welcoming her and making her feel comfortable. They make a huge effort to
ensure parents are well communicated with and post plenty of photos and updates on the app to reassure me. She has made lots of friends and is always excited to tell me new things she’s learned during her day. Our son has been on the waiting list to start next year since he was a few weeks old, and we wanted to make sure he gets a place! We would highly recommend this nursery.

Bust Bees has been a good setting for my daughter who moved here from a smaller nursery when she was nearly 3 years old. The staff are very kind and patient and I feel like they have got to know my daughter very well. Communication is always very good and I get daily updates via the app about meals
and also photo updates about what she is doing most days. Seeing how my daughter has adapted to Busy Bees has made me very confident about how she'll settle into primary school later this year. They are extremely good in terms of getting children 'school ready'.

We have used Busy Bees in a number of locations, as we have moved a few times and we have been so happy with the service and support all staff have made. Busy Bees, Bromborough have been fantastic and she loves going to nursery every day! She loves all the key workers and enjoys the activities which
build her learning. She particularly loves French as an extra curricular. We can't thank the team enough who helped build her confidence and prepare her for next steps towards primary school. We love you Busy Bees.

Our son has been attending Busy Bees since 2020 and is currently in preschool. During his time at Busy Bees, our son has developed strong relationships with his key workers and other members of staff. This has been of a comfort to us as his parents knowing that he is being well cared for and nurtured
whilst in their care. We appreciate and look forward to the regular updates via Parent Zone as it gives us an insight into his day: what activities he’s been up to; what he’s eaten; photographs of him with his friends.

Post COVID we had concerns about the impact lockdowns would have on our child’s social development. However, during his time at Busy Bees, particularly in the pre-school, it has been heart-warming to see the friendships that he has developed. We have always been well supported by the management at nursery. Any time we have raised any concerns or issues, they have been addressed and dealt with quickly and professionally.

We've been going to Busy Bees Bromborough since 2019 and it has been perfect for our little boy from day one. He has grown in confidence and made lifelong friends. The staff and management are very nurturing and go out of their way to help in any way they can. It is clear that he learns a lot both educationally
and socially, the staff are very encouraging and have helped him grow in confidence. We couldn't have asked for a better start for our little boy before he goes to school. We couldn't recommend the nursery enough.

I can’t recommend Busy Bees Bromborough enough! My little boy has been attending since he was 12 months old and is now enjoying preschool, whilst my daughter has just started at 12 months old. Both my kids absolutely love nursery - my eldest learns so much in preschool and he is so proud bringing home
his artwork. He has so many lovely friendships that the staff really help to nurture. Every day he comes home with so much to say about his day, and his numbers and letters have come on so well since he moved up. My daughter has also settled really quickly in the under 2s room where we regularly get updates and photos on the ParentZone app. It’s such a lovely feeling dropping my kids off knowing that they’re going to have fun, be well-loved, and fed some nutritious food. The staff make you feel like family and I wouldn’t want my kids to go anywhere else. Thanks to the team in all three rooms for making my children so happy over the past 2 and a half years!

From the day our son started Busy Bees from age 1-year-old, we were made to feel so comfortable leaving him. It’s something that always scared me and the manager and the team made us feel so calm and relaxed, knowing he was in good hands. Throughout his time there, over two years now, we honestly haven’t
got a bad word to say about the nursery. In each classroom he has been in, the staff have been amazing and really brought him out of his shell and helped make him into the little boy he is today. We couldn’t recommend the nursery enough and will really miss bringing him! Thank you so much.

I first visited Busy Bees Bridle Road when I was pregnant with my son and I knew then it was the nursery for us. The staff and environment were warm and welcoming with passion and extreme care for what they do. My son started at 9.5 months and stayed 4 days a week until he finished to start school.
The care, support and development he made in that time was exceptional and as a family, we couldn't have been happier.
The nursery has done incredibly well during the pandemic to keep the children safe without unsettling them and we want to say a big thank you to the wonderful nursery staff for all their efforts.

We would highly recommend the nursery to anyone.

Current Review Score: 8.5 (8.541)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.541) out of 10 for Busy Bees Bromborough is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.655 for Busy Bees Bromborough is calculated as follows: ( (72 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.655
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.886 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Bromborough is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 105 number of registered child places is 21. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 21 = 0.286
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Maisie Learmouth

Job Title: Centre Director

Hey, my name is Maisie Learmouth, and I'm the Centre Director of Busy Bees Bromborough.

I have worked in early education since 2008, cultivating an extensive 18 years of childcare experience, starting off as an apprentice and working my way up at our Neston nursery. I have my NVQ Level 3 in childcare studies and recently finished a Level 3 management degree. I have a true passion for childcare, and I have used all of my skills to develop a deep understanding of child development and how supporting early years is vital for children's learning in later life. In 2018, I had my son, who is now 7. He attended Neston with me, and even though I worked there, I know how hard it can be to leave your little love to go to work, so I have dedicated myself to making this transition smooth and unique for every parent.
I'm excited to welcome you all to the Busy Bees Bromborough family!
