Overall Experience
We had such a positive experience at Lavenders Day Nursery. From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly understanding, supportive and accommodating of Romeo's additional needs. They really took the time to understand him as an individual and made sure he felt comfortable, included and cared for.
As we don't have family support nearby, having a nursery team who genuinely cared and supported both Romeo and us as a family meant so much. The staff were always patient, kind and understanding with his SEN, and we felt reassured knowing he was in such caring hands.

We will always be grateful for the support, love and encouragement they gave Romeo during his time there. Thank you to everyone at Lavenders for everything you have done for him.

***** We couldn't be happier with this nursery. They have been such an important part of our children's lives since they were just 18 months old, providing a loving, caring and nurturing environment.
The staff are wonderful, and we have always had complete peace of mind knowing our children are safe, happy and so well looked after. The nursery's safeguarding standards are excellent and is always very clean.

Overall Experience

Our family has been part of the nursery for over four years, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. All three of my children have attended, and each has been so happy, well cared for, and supported throughout their time there.

The staff go above and beyond every day. They are kind, caring, and genuinely invested in each child's development, creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment. The setting itself is fantastic, clean, well maintained, and continually improving, with wonderful opportunities for children to learn and grow.

Sadly, we recently had to leave because we moved away, which has been one of the hardest parts of relocating. We are so grateful for everything the nursery has done for our family and will always treasure the wonderful memories. I would recommend this nursery without hesitation to any family!!!

From my daughter's very first day at Hampstead Gate at just one year old, through to her final weeks at four and a half, she has loved every moment and truly thrived. She has had so much fun, learned an incredible amount, and despite the initial parental worries about her being in full-time childcare, we couldn't be happier with the care she has received.
It has been wonderful to watch the friendships she has built, not only with the other children but also with the staff. This is a true reflection of how caring, attentive, and supportive the team are.

We cannot thank everyone enough for the positive impact they have had on her early years. While we will be sad to say goodbye, we know she has been given the absolute best guidance, encouragement, and support to prepare her for starting school. We are incredibly grateful to the whole team at Hampstead Gate.

Mine and my sons settling experience has been wonderful! As a breastfeeding, co-sleeping, baby wearing first time parent to a 10 month old I was extremely anxious and putting my son into nursery. However Devonshire management and BA has done as much as they could do to accommodate my son's needs by being flexible with his settling in times, following our home routine, buying the specific bottles, teets, cutlery and cups we use at home. His key carer has taken on every aspect of our parental beliefs to ensure for continuous care between home and nursery such as using phrases we use, toilet training to dietary preferences. The room is well resourced, looks very inviting, clean and tidy, featuring a garden my little one can access at any time. This was another concern of mine as we spend so much time outside.

The room is calm, all the children seem very happy!! The friendly, happy staff are positioned across the room so every child is being engaged with. Couldn't recommend enough.

Our one-year-old joined the nursery in May, and we really love the Caterpillar Room. All the staff are kind, friendly, and welcoming. They sing songs with the children and respect each child's individual personality and needs.
Our baby is highly sensitive, and the staff have been very patient and supportive, helping the little one settle in day by day. We also really appreciate the nursery's diversity and the way they support families from different nationalities and backgrounds.

They even have air conditioning, which was amazing during the heatwave! Everything has been fantastic so far.

This nursery is absolutely incredible, I can't recommend it enough. My son went from being so nervous and anxious to saying he absolutely loves nursery. The meals are so varied and he's tried and enjoyed so much that I wouldn't even imagine he would eat. Currently pregnant with my second child and already have put baby on the wait list.

I couldn't do my 3 year degree without this nursery and support. Thank you all so very much to all the wonderful ladies who look after my son every single day.

Our eldest will soon be leaving for school, and she has flourished at Julia Durbin since starting aged 12 months. The staff are caring, engaging and always give 100%. The facilities have recently been updated and a lot of thought goes into making the environment perfect for the children. The garden area is amazing. Staff retention is excellent and this creates a welcoming and homely environment.

I've never once worried about her when dropping off, and she is always so happy there. Now, with the youngest one starting in the baby room, it's a delight to go through the journey again!

I honestly cannot recommend Julia Durbin Nursery enough.
Both of my children attended JD, and choosing it was one of the best decisions we made as a family. I consistently felt that the staff genuinely cared about my children. They didn't just look after them - they loved them, nurtured them, celebrated their milestones through every stage of their development.
I have watched both of my children flourish and grew into happy, confident and independent kids who were excited to go to nursery every day.
As a parent, there is no greater comfort than knowing your children are happy, valued, and cared for when they are away from home.
The strongest endorsement I can give is that we live on the opposite side of town, yet we still chose to send both of our kids to JD. The extra journey was worth it because the quality of care was simply outstanding.
We will always be grateful for everything the team has done for our family.

JD will forever hold a special place in our heart.

We absolutely love Ceders and can not praise them enough. We have our two childern in with them three days a week. Our eldest is in bumblebees and youngest is in the baby room - caterpillars. Their staff are incredibly careing and knowledgeable. The safeguarding is exemplary, with regular calls for any bumps and regular updates on the childern's general progress via their app and daily debriefs on collection. The staff always take care and pay interest to our childern and I've seen them literally on hands and knees roaring at them (as mock lions), which is an absolute delight to have such interactive and immersive play. My eldest constantly recounts stories, which he has with his favourite staff members and has made lots of freinds. The setting is extremely safe and clean, while being plentiful of toys and activities. They are very strong on teaching manners, kindness and emotional regulation as well as adding to their vocabulary and counting.

My 4 year old has just graduated from preschool, what a roller coaster it has been. This nursery makes you feel so at ease almost like there caring for there own children. We are really going to miss Julia Durbin, and are incredibly grateful to all the staff for giving our son the best start to his education. Our son started at 10 months old and stayed until the end of pre-school, everything has been perfect, and he could not be better prepared going into primary school. I can't think of a single fault. The staff go above and beyond, the variety of activities and excursions is great and management are always available to help, they even helped us prepare our son for moving house and got some specific books to help him with the move. The food is great, the chefs are always interacting with the kids, it's just a really great environment. The receptionist is incredibly helpful and welcoming, it has been great communication throughout. I'm very impressed with how the staff find the time to update the app, it is so nice seeing pictures of your kid having fun and learning whilst you're at work.

Our experience of the Ladybirds room (age 1-2) was really positive and we found it to be a very caring and loving environment. Our relationship with her key person, Trudy, as well as the wider classroom staff, was excellent and we were regularly kept informed of her progress throughout the day via the App, as well as in end of day handovers which were very thorough.

Our daughter's learning and development was really encouraged and stimulated in Ladybirds via engaging and varied activities throughout the day, and the staff made a real effort to provide the best possible environment for our child. We felt really happy with the care and attention she was given and the room staff are all extremely passionate and dedicated.

I cannot recommend Julia Durbin highly enough. Our son attended for nearly three years, starting when he was just one year old, and he truly thrived throughout his time there.

Every member of the team-from the leadership and nursery staff to the chefs-consistently went above and beyond to ensure he felt safe, happy, and well cared for. Their dedication, kindness, and genuine commitment to his wellbeing made all the difference.

During his time at the nursery, he has learned so much, grown in confidence, and built wonderful friendships with his peers. We are excited for him to begin his preschool journey, but we are also incredibly sad that his time at Julia Durbin has come to an end. We will always be grateful for the care, support, and positive experiences the entire team has given him.

Went in for a Father's Day morning in the amazing forest area they have for the kids. Had a great time being shown around by my child and seeing what he's been talking about at home. The facilities Willows has to offer for the kids is fantastic and the staff are brilliant on all aspects. This is our second time at willows after our first went here and both times have been a great experience from our kids perspective and from ours. Thankyou to everyone and to anyone looking at coming to Willows I highly recommend them.
