Windmill Hill Day Nursery (Swindon)

We swapped our daughter to Windmill Hill from another nursery and it was the best decision we made. The staff are fantastic, management very approachable, food is good, the children are always doing different activities and our daughter loves going in. She will walk into the room now and wave bye to me as I leave her. Laura her key worker in Caterpillars is fantastic. She really listened to what I said about my daughter's sleep and our preferences with not being rocked to sleep and only using a dummy for sleeping. I feel totally at ease every time my daughter is there. I wish it wasn't so expensive as I would love to send her there for an extra day every week!

We are been very happy with the nursery so far. The staff are so kind and always welcome us in the mornings and are pleased to see my son. They make the effort to get to know him and his little quirks. He has formed a good bond with many of the staff in his room. At the end of the day, the staff always let me know how he has been. We love getting photos from his day. The staff always listen to what I have to say (naps, eating) and are supportive. They also advise when appropriate which also feels very supportive. The senior staff are lovely and approachable as in Jan on the front desk. Lovely chef too!

We have had such a wonderful experience at this nursery and honestly couldn't recommend it enough. From the very beginning, the staff have been absolutely amazing. They are kind, caring and genuinely made us feel like part of a little family.

Our daughter has been so happy here, and it has been lovely to see how much she has grown and developed during her time at the nursery. We always felt well informed about how her day had been, and we knew she was in safe and caring hands.

The nursery is always clean and welcoming, and the food provided is great too. You can really see how much care and effort the staff put into everything they do.

We are incredibly sad to be leaving and saying goodbye. This nursery has been such a special part of our daughter's early years, and we will always be grateful to all the wonderful staff for making her time here so happy and memorable.

My 4 year old has just graduated from preschool, what a roller coaster it has been. This nursery makes you feel so at ease almost like there caring for there own children. The love and support with never be forgotten. Theo had attended for 4 years and honestly would pick here everytime. Even the receptionists keep you smiling

Overall it's just a lovely place to send your children and you can relax at the thought they will be well looked after. Personally I think it's worth every penny, all you need to do is pack spare clothes and the rest is done for you. My children have always come home in dry clothes and clean nappies.

We all will miss coming when Jack starts school and seeing the lovely ladies, a few names in particular, Ruby Ann, Gemma, Gaynor, Danielle plus many you have all been amazing!

The nursery has been amazing in every way. They supported my speech delayed child in her speaking and social development as a whole but beyond that they supported me when I needed support and not just with my child's care but my wellbeing too. My family will be forever grateful for that. The nursery itself is very clean, my daughter hardly ever came home with new bugs or illnesses, the food is fresh and home made daily which is amazing, the children are taught age appropriate independence. I honestly cannot praise this nursery enough. The staff are absolutely fantastic my child loves them all and will miss them terribly. 5 stars isn't high enough

Very good staff, always kind and helpful and most important, the children are always very happy being with them. Also loads of activities focusing on the children development and socialising, which is just amazing. All rooms well designed to the children at the ages intended to.

Our son attended this nursery for the past two years, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. He truly thrived in such a caring, supportive environment and was consistently so well looked after.

The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always keep you well informed, providing regular updates on your child's day and development. It made such a difference knowing exactly how he was getting on and seeing how happy he was there.

We were genuinely sad when it was time for him to leave, but it speaks volumes that we've already registered our new baby to start next year. There's such peace of mind in knowing your child is safe, happy, and in such capable hands while you're at work.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone.

My son attended Windmill Day Nursery for over 2 years. Communication with parents was excellent and we always felt informed and reassured about our son's day. The staff at Windmill are kind and caring and show a genuine dedication to caring for the children. During his time at Windmill, we have seen a positive difference in our son's communication skills.

We are very happy with this nursery. Our 2 and 3 year old both attend and they absolutely love it. The staff are kind, caring and always make the children feel safe and welcome.

We have seen a big improvement in their confidence, communication and social skills since they started. They always come home happy and excited to tell us about their day.

The nursery provides lots of fun activities and a great learning environment for young children. We feel very comfortable leaving our children in their care and would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents.

My daughter loves Windmill Hill nursery and settled in really quickly thanks to an amazing team that made her feel welcome and helped her overcome her initial anxiety. She now runs in smiling! She has developed incredibly fast within her time there.

We felt very at ease leaving her, knowing she is happy and very well looked after by everyone. The team goes the extra mile for the little ones!

We love the flexibility when it comes to dropping off and picking up which makes a life as a working parent so much less stressful.

Our little boy has been at the nursery for 1.5 years and has developed so much in that time. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about early years education and have been very attentive, and offered lots of support for specific areas of development such as speech and potty training. He's progressed up the rooms fairly quickly and they've been great at helping him manage the transition. The range of activities is great, and they do loads of stuff we simply can't (or sometimes don't want) to do, and the outside space is great - very roomy and plenty of activities available. They are always willing to answer our questions and seem to really know him and his routines. The admin staff are also brilliant, Jan is always available to help when we have questions.

This nursery is so wonderful and accommodating. They go above and beyond and always make it so welcoming. You are always kept well informed and there are is such a focus on the children and their development. We feel very happy with this nursery and appreciate the staff's kindness, attention and enthusiasm.

Our daughter settled in quickly and looks forward to going every day. The nursery has full of engaging activities, toys and learning materials. It's a lovely space for little ones to explore!

My son went to Windmill Hill when he was one year old and has just finished leaving for school. I would highly recommend this nursery. We felt part of a family, and the support was excellent. We will miss all the lovely staff. My son loved his days here. We had SEN needs, which was met with such nurture and allowed my son to flourish and grow into the confident little boy that he is. He is totally prepared for school, which is thanks to the support from this nursery. The rooms are full of activity with helpful staff and the garden is a lovely big space for the children to play. A huge thank you to all at Windmill Hill, we will miss you.

Our son has attended Windmill Hill since he was 11 months old. It was an absolute pleasure seeing he transform from the shy little boy he was to the confident and friendly boy that started school in September and I have to attribute that to all the staff at the nursery who from day one showed a real interest in his well being and development. We were made to feel like part of the family from the outset and I couldn't recommend them enough to anyone looking for childcare.

Great care and food. - thank you for all you have done. We would certainly use the nursery again. Windmill has given our child the confidence and abilities she needs to confidently start school and helped with giving her a balanced nutritious diet.

My little boy has had an excellent time at Windmill Hill. It was his first time at a nursery and his key workers really helped him settle in, I could tell he had formed a special connection with 2 members of staff in particular and would talk about them at home. I have seen him becoming more outgoing with other children and joining in more confidently. We are only moving as we needed more days and they weren't available, otherwise we would have stayed! Thank you for all the work you've done with him this year.
