My twin boys have attended Willows since they were 9 months old and from day 1 the boys have loved attending nursery. The environment is calm & clean. All the staff genuinely care about the children and give 100% to ensuring that the children's individual needs are met, whilst providing plentiful learning
opportunities through play. The nursery teach & use sign language to help the children communicate their needs before they can talk. They also teach manners & encourage independence.
Staff remain consistent, my boys were fortunate to have one of their favourite room leaders Lisa, follow them through the different age range rooms, for most of the past two years.
Having experienced other local nursery & preschool, I always recommend Willows!

I have two boys, and I have sent them both to Willows Day Nursery in Stoke Mandeville. My 5 year old now goes to school and is thriving and I have no doubt it's because of the amazing start he got at this nursery. My youngest who is soon to be 3 is having the same amazing experience there, despite it
being in the opposite direction to the school run we wouldn't dream of moving him as we love it too much!
Every member of staff is amazing, they work so hard, create such beautiful relationships with the children and make it so easy to have peace of mind that your children are well cared for. I love this nursery and will be very sad when my youngest leaves, and I have no reason to go there! It is worth every penny in my eyes!

My son has attended Willows Day Nursery since he was 9 months old, and we have been so happy with our experience. He really enjoys going each day and has formed wonderful bonds with his key carers throughout his time there. The staff are caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children's development.
They also cater very well for dietary requirements and are always happy to accommodate individual needs when required, which gives us great peace of mind. He enjoys his time there so much that some days he doesn't even want to come home, which says it all. We feel very reassured knowing he is happy, settled, and well cared for.

Our daughter, now 3, has been attending Willows since she was 12 months old. Both her and we absolutely love the setting. Overall, the nursery and staff are fantastic. The children often do enrichment activities and exciting learning through play. The older children in the Pre School and Butterfly rooms
also attend forest school every fortnight, which my daughter absolutely loves. We provided feedback on a small concern about a year ago, and the Manager, Jane, addressed the issue straight away and professionally.
I was nervous about sending my daughter to nursery, but our experience of Willows and the team has been excellent. I thoroughly recommend the setting and have already put our son's name down to attend once I return to work.

Lovely nursery and staff. Our little girl has been attending for 2 years now and she's so much more confident. She's grown a lot and continues to surprise us with certain things she's learned from the nursery setting

We are so impressed and happy with how well our son is doing in nursery. He was a reserved little boy who has absolutely blossomed in Willows and has developed lovely relationships with the staff as well as friendships with his peers. It is a hard decision choosing the right nursery and you put huge
trust in the adults caring for your precious child, but I have never doubted the commitment, care, kindness and expertise of the staff at willows.

We couldn't be happier with Willows Day Nursery and the care they provide for our son. The staff are incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely invested in each child's development. From day one, they've made him feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. We've seen such a positive change in his confidence,
social skills, and curiosity since starting here. Communication with parents is excellent, and it's clear how much thought and care goes into the activities and routines. Knowing our son is happy and well cared for every day gives us complete peace of mind. We're so grateful to the whole team at Willows and would highly recommend them to any parent.

Willows Day Nursery has been THE best choice my wife and I could have made for our little girl. Every single member of staff there, from management, to practitioners, to canteen staff and everyone in between, has been incredible to our little girl. From our first visit day, where many staff members
greeted us by name, to settling in sessions which guided our girl to life at Willows, to the time she has attended the nursery, it has been nothing short of exceptional. The care and love every single staff member shows to the kids is unmatched, and they genuinely do care for the children as if they were their own. The staff go out of their way to help the children develop by painting, reading, guiding, and going the extra mile by learning words from native languages, taking an interest in the child's home life in order to make them feel more welcome at nursery, and providing extremely detailed and reassuring updates on the app. I'd give stars if I could.

I can't speak highly enough of this nursery! The staff are amazing! so kind, caring, and attentive to my son. From the very first day, they made my son feel comfortable and supported. The settle-in sessions were carefully timed each week before his start, and since starting full-time time he has settled
in so well! In just a few weeks, I've already seen such so much progress in his speech and language. I'm so grateful for the positive impact they've had on my son, and I couldn't have chosen a better place for him to learn.

He's able to play and learn indoors and outdoors at his choosing, which he really enjoys as he is a very active boy. The key workers are fantastic; they set regular goals to help him reach his milestones and coordinate all goals with home life.

A huge thank you to all the staff!

The nursery is always clean and provides such a lovely, nurturing environment for the children.

My daughter has been going to Willows Day Nursery for a couple of years now and she absolutely loves it. The staff always go above and beyond to make her feel supported and safe. A very special thanks to the team leader of bumblebees and now in ladybirds and her calm, kind and proactive approach has
definitely been paramount in making my daughter's experience a lovely one.

My youngest daughter is just about to start the nursery in September and I am very positive that her time at Willows will be just as fantastic.

Willows Day nursery has been nothing but fantastic. The staff are absolutely amazing and they always go above and beyond for the children in their care. They are very passionate and very helpful. My son has absolutely thrived since attending this nursery and I have already registered to send my daughter
too. They offer so many different activities for the children, they offer healthy fresh meals daily and they are always there to give a detailed handover at the end of the session. They are such a lovely bunch of supportive individuals and myself and my son will miss them dearly. My child has progressed so much with the help of this nursery and I just know he will miss it so much. The senco is fabulous as well. I am so thankful to them for taking such good care of my son and would definitely recommend them.

The highest recommendation I can give is that we've signed our unborn child up to come to the nursery when he's ready. My daughter has loved her time and has really bonded specifically with Nursery Practitioners in preschool, and they've both been exceptional with her.

We are so grateful to the amazing staff at willows nursery. Everyone both in and out of caterpillar room has been so friendly and welcoming to us and our daughter. We have found the transition difficult , and we have been met with kind faces throughout, no question is too much. The staff have gone
above and beyond to settle our little one, holding her to sleep which I appreciate is tricky in a busy environment, and encouraging her poor eating habits. We are now starting to see their hard work and kindness pay off as she starts to settle in. So grateful, thank you.

My child has been at Willows for 2 years and she loves it. The day is full of fulfilling activities and includes multiple trips to their forest school. She comes home everyday having learnt something new, with crafts she's created or stories of playing with her friends. The food is excellent and the
staff genuinely care about the children and show compassion, interest and joy in their roles.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.894) out of 10 for Willows Day Nursery (Aylesbury) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 37 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.894 for Willows Day Nursery (Aylesbury) is calculated as follows: ( (398 Excellents x 5) + (43 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 443 Ratings = 4.894
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Willows Day Nursery (Aylesbury) is based on 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 130 number of registered child places is 26, which has been reached with 37 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
