Mulberry Day Nursery is a beautiful property converted to create a happy, sociable nursery where every child is treated as an individual. Much of the character has been retained to provide spacious and interesting rooms with first class facilities.

The nursery has four main playrooms for individual age groups with sensory areas and quiet areas. There is a discreet CCTV system which enables parents to view their children when they first settle into nursery life, and an intercom system for security.

Outside there is a fully enclosed (safety surface) garden with age appropriate activities featuring a Mud Kitchen, construction area, gardening area, sandpit, music area, art studio, digging area, bug hunting area and an outdoor classroom. The nursery has a new Roof Garden which was completed in 2013. They have now achieved their Green Flag for Eco Schools.

Excellent nursery. Our kid loves the place and surroundings. The staff are amazing very invested in the child well being and always looking for ways to improve on the child's development opportunities. Our son thoroughly enjoys all activities here and he loves the food so much, to be honest from what
we hear he eats so much better at nursey compared to home. The staff are friendly and constantly updates us with our kids well being and development milestones . Administration and all communications are very prompt. We definitely will recommend Mulberry to friends and family in the area.

Excellent nursery that I can highly recommend. I was nervous about choosing the right place but re-assured with Mulberry thanks to a recommendation from my antenatal course leader. The nursery took a child-led approach to settling sessions, ensuring that we are both comfortable, and the key worker has
been exceptionally attentive to her needs, which helped her settle quickly. All staff is very welcoming and the key worker is very invested in my daughter's development, giving her lots of development opportunities and giving me regular and insightful updates. My daughter is happy there and her confidence grew massively in no time. Two things stand out to me with Mulberry: everyone I met worked there for years; and that it feels like it's a family environment, where my child is thriving.

Now on our second child at the nursery. All staff are very caring and friendly and both children have really enjoyed their time and developed well.
We would certainly recommend to friends and family if and when they are looking for a nursery.

Excellent nursery, which both our children have attended. Staff are well trained, incredibly friendly and provide great care for the children. Really impressed with the level of attention to detail in helping the children grow and develop. Feedback on activities and development milestones is updated
regularly and the overall administration of the nursery is very high. The low level of staff turnover has also been refreshing compared with our previous nurseries. Facilities and spaces are excellent.

We moved from another nursery and have been so happy with our decision. The staff were amazing at helping our daughter settle in. They always have great activities on for the children and the activities change daily. They accommodate each child's needs and are always quick to get in contact if there
are any questions or anything you need to know. We love the fact that they spend so much time outside too. For easter, a local farm lent some duck eggs so the kids could learn about ducks and see the ducklings hatch. They also recently had a zoo being some animals in so the kids could touch and learn about snakes, frogs, centipedes and snails. Our daughter is very happy here and so are we. The staff are brilliant too. Very friendly, welcoming and also very helpful.

Mulberry Nursery has been absolutely amazing for our son. The attention to care and communication is top tier. My son loves going, making connections and learning. The team have always been so supportive and welcoming, you can genuinely feel the staff love what they do.

We have been very happy with Mulberry Nursery. Our daughter started when she was 1 years old and the staff were very friendly, welcoming and made us feel at ease leaving her when returning to work. She loves the staff and has a great time doing all the activities they set out for her and her class.
She is a very active child and never bored at nursery.

I can't recommend Mulberry Day Nursery highly enough! From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this place is special. The staff are warm, caring, and incredibly dedicated to the children.
Being a mum to a premature baby with continued complications, making the decision to send our little boy
to nursery was not an easy one, but with the support from the management team and our key workers we were fully supported to ensure that the transition was as smooth as possible for both myself, my little boy and the team.
Our little boy is thriving at Mulberry, everyday he is happy to go into the Caterpillar room and loves playing and learning with the team. The team our working to support his development and working with our community team and visual assistant to ensure all his needs are being met. They have also applied for grants and bought extra special toys to continue his development. We cannot thank the team enough for everything they have done for us! Its a very special place!

Mulberry Day Nursery is an exemplary nursery. The team are incredible, warm and nurturing and get to know each child as individuals. When my son joined from a different nursery there was so much care given to his settling in to ensure that he would thrive and make friends. Within a couple of days when
I dropped him off every member of the team - from support staff, to front office, management and all of the rooms knew his name. My son has developed so much in his time there and is always incredibly proud to show me what he's been doing each day - the staff always encourage the children's interests and provide useful feedback so that there is a real link between home and nursery learning and exploration. The management and room staff are all wonderful - and have helped us more widely including with school admissions. I would have no hesitation recommending Mulberry to any prospective parents!

My son attended this nursery for 14 months from April 2022 - August 2023, we then moved to another area.
He had a helmet, 8 allergies and couldn't walk when joining. The team were amazing, they really built his confidence and not once did I feel unsure with the care he received. On moving to Ladybirds
room, he still wasn't walking at that point but again he was gaining confidence and building strong bonds with the team. When my son went to Bumblebee room he was given the care and attention needed for him to really settle. He never had any allergic reactions whilst, at Mulberry, the kitchen staff are brilliant (he's had 3 over 13 months since we've moved)
Mulberry is fantastic. I would never hesitate to recommend this nursery. Before signing up to Mulberry I visited 5 other nurseries in the local area 3 of which had 'Outstanding' Ofsted reviews. I've also seen 3 other nurseries in the local area and nothing compares to the experience we had at Mulberry!

Mulberry has been an outstanding environment for my daughter. As a parent, finding a place where my child is genuinely cared for and supported in her growth is paramount. Her key worker stands out not only for her professional expertise but for the genuine love and passion she brings to her role. She
has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure my daughter is well looked after. One of the many instances that impressed me was her innovative approach to engaging the children. On the day of a rainbow, she clicked a photo and printed colouring sheets that captivated the children's interest and encouraged their creativity. This out-of-the-box thinking demonstrates her commitment that go beyond the standard curriculum. Drop-offs and pick-ups have become more meaningful. She takes the time to share insights about my daughter's day. I have never felt rushed in these interactions. Her efforts have clearly made a meaningful difference in our lives and for that, we are truly grateful.

I have sent both my children to this nursery and both of the children absolutely love coming! They are there from 7:20-6:00 sometimes and they’re not crying about me leaving them there all day. Staff are extremely helpful and supportive. One of my girls was diagnosed with autism shortly after leaving
the nursery and the support I got from the team here was amazing in helping my daughter to transition into school. The food is good and I feel calm knowing that I am leaving them with kind, motivated and caring individuals. They’ve been amazing. I know the fees are steep and similar to other nurseries but if you need childcare that won’t let you down, it’s worth it. Also, one amazing thing is the air conditioning the rooms have in the summer. Not all nurseries have one. My children really benefitted from it.

Mulberry is a fantastic nursery; I can't recommend it enough. My little boy has been going since August this year. They do different activities, from painting to baking cakes to reading, and they have themed days and a varied menu each week.
But it's really the staff that make it special. They're
wonderful. I was very nervous dropping him off when he first started, but the staff at the nursery immediately put me at ease and were so supportive and understanding. They give you reports every day on what they've eaten and how much, as well as regular updates on what your child has been up to (including photos). It truly is a superb place to send your child.

Our boy has been with Mulberry since he was 9 months old and he absolutely loves it. All the staff are very nice and you can just tell they love kids and are very good with them as well. He was very well looked after and also settled in much quicker than I had expected.
He loves going to the nursery
so much that in the morning when I drop him off, I don’t even get a turn of the head from him to say bye-bye, as he’s always very eager to give his key person or staff in the room a big hug!

My child was at the nursery from one until she almost turned five. The carers were incredible, and she made amazing connections with most, if not all, of them. They took time every day to tell you all about our daughter's day and made each child feel special. I couldn't recommend the place enough.

Our son attended Mulberry since he was 2 years old. His key person developed a strong bond with him, showing wonderful care and creativity, particularly in toilet training and fostering social skills through engaging games.
We collaborated closely with the nursery, ensuring that our joint efforts set

I have been consistently impressed by the quality of care provided at Mulberry Day Nursery. From the very first day, the staff made my son feel welcome and comfortable, and he has developed strong relationships with them. Their patience, warmth and enthusiasm have helped him to thrive in all areas of
development, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical. As a parent, I am really happy with the range of resources and facilities available, including outdoor play, books, and toys. I also appreciate the regular feedback provided every day by the staff when I pick up my son in the evening. Overall, it has been a very positive experience for him, and I would highly recommend Mulberry nursery to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing and stimulating experience for their child.

Kristina is the Manager of Mulberry Day Nursery and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 16 years. Kristina has an NVQ Level 3 and NVQ Leadership and Management and has worked at Childbase since 2015.


What is your favourite feature of your nursery?
I really like the homely feel we have here and that it feels like a second home for so many. I like our Preschool room and the fact it has lots of different rooms so the children can focus on different things in each space. They also have their own outdoor terrace upstairs to be able to explore things they can’t necessarily do in the shared garden. Our main priority in the nursery is to help the children feel safe and secure so they are able to thrive throughout their learning. We have a large outdoor space which we utilise a lot and ensure the children experience the outdoors in all weathers.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I am really proud of my team for the way they build bonds with the children and make the nursery feel like this is their second home too. We have achieved our Eco Flag with distinction which the children are passionate about. We really enjoy getting to know all our families and making the parents just as at home as the children.
