Really professional and friendly nursery, everyone is genuinely nice and we always feel very welcome. Staff is quick to response, and the baby loves it there. High standards of care and development; the baby is feeling very confident and supported there.

Our little girl started at the nursery when she was 11 months old. The staff were/are so welcoming and put us at ease straight away, as the settling in period is always difficult. We have noticed a huge difference in our daughters development since she has started within the caterpillar room. Communication
is great from the staff and the information they provide on the nursery app to show our daughters daily activities. Thank you!!

I honestly cannot thank the nursery team enough for the love, care, and attention they show our son every single day. From the very beginning, we felt completely reassured that he was in safe and nurturing hands. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and filled with positivity, which makes such a difference
for both children and parents. The Caterpillars ladies are absolutely fantastic. They are kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It's clear that they truly care about each child as an individual. They pay close attention to the little details - whether it's noticing new milestones, encouraging new skills, or simply understanding when a child needs extra comfort or reassurance. That level of attentiveness means so much. I am truly grateful to the entire team for their dedication, professionalism, and the genuine love they show. It gives me complete peace of mind knowing my son is in such caring and capable hands.

Our little boy started at Edwalton Day when he was 18 months old. We had just moved to the area. Six months later, we are so pleased with our choice. The facilities are fantastic, particularly the outside space. Our little boy has come on really well in terms of development and loves his days at nursery.
The staff have been brilliant. Thank you Edwalton Day.

We've had a great experience with this nursery so far. From the start, the staff have been friendly, welcoming and supportive. Our son started recently, and we know the settling in period can be tough, but the caterpillar team really help him feel safe, comfy and happy.
Communication with parents
is very good. Were always kept up to date on Tai's routine, meals and activities. It's clear that the staff genuinely care about the children and pay attention to their individual needs. Were very happy with the nursery and caterpillar team.

My daughter started nursery at just over 10 months old and has settled in wonderfully. I cannot recommend the nursery enough, every single member of staff are super polite and positive. I love the daily sheets as they keep me well informed and the daily updates on the app is great to see what my daughter
is getting up to throughout the day. She has really thrived at nursery already and coming home super happy!

Thank you team x

Both our daughters have been at Edwalton Nursery since they were 20 months and 4 months old, respectively. Both the girls have settled well, feel very supported and guided. The staff listen very well to your needs and are very attentive.
When my youngest moved from the caterpillars (baby) to the ladybird
room, it was a significant but a very, very positive move for them. I found the staff in all rooms very supportive.

Edwalton Day Nursery is excellent, cannot recommend it highly enough. It feels like we are part of their extended family. Warmth, care, and professionalism are shown in every interaction with the staff. My son is supported to thrive with lots of care and attention. He is learning a lot while he is at
nursery and there is a lot of care put into the activities, and toys on offer, with new toys and equipment being bought regularly. Mostly I appreciate the warmth and love shown to my son by all the staff so that he has settled well (even the transitions to new rooms) and thrives. Thank you!

My son has truly thrived at Edwalton Day Nursery. The staff are fantastic, they have a genuine bond and expertly managed both his behaviour quirks and food allergies. He loves the outdoors, rain or shine, and his social skills have blossomed. We are so impressed with his progress and the warm, supportive
environment. We appreciate the updates we receive and would love even more regular communication about his days.

A fantastic nursery and one that I have recommended to many parents. Both my children have been happy there. All the staff are lovely and helpful. They provide thorough feedback each time. They know the child's strengths and weakness well and work with what is best for the child. My youngest currently
attends and I have seen how much he has developed with his skills since being at this nursery. He is always very happy at pick up. Once I have dropped him off I know he is in safe hands. Excellent facilities and an amazing forest school and outdoor space. Pre-school do a an exceptional job in preparing children for school. Meals are nutritious and dietary needs catered for. I cannot fault this nursery. A huge thank you to all the staff as it is due to their hard work and diligence that makes the nursery an excellent place.

The staff are very friendly, giving constant feedback and updates with all that our child does day to day. Had a smooth introduction to the nursery where we got to meet the team and who would be his key worker. Overall very happy with how things have been done

Our son has been going to Edwalton Day Nursery for almost 2 years now and is about to leave preschool to start reception in September. We couldn't be happier with our choice. Under the thorough and consistent guidance of the nursery team, he has thrived and developed into a socially confident little
boy ready for the next phase of his life. Everything from safeguarding to nutrition and the educational aspects of this setting has been exceptional, but the staff and the management are what obviously have made a huge difference. We are very grateful to Edwalton Day Nursery for taking such good care of our son.

Our child has settled in really well. Noticeably more confident and his social skills are really developing. All staff are very friendly engaging and knowledgeable it doesn't matter who we speak to at pick-up time all the staff seem to be able to give insight into our little monkey's mood and activities
that day even before they have read us the handover report. Very pleased.

First I would like to articulate my biggest appreciation and thankfulness to the nursery. We couldn’t have asked for anything better than the outstanding nursery for the care of our son. It is clear, that here he has found a place where he feels home, safe and trusts the key persons. We are very thankful
for the fantastic
support over the last 2 years and the nursery will be the one thing we miss about the UK. Always will highly recommend it to anyone asking.

My daughter started Edwalton at 5 months during lockdown and now she is getting ready to leave preschool for primary school. I can't thank the staff at Edwalton Nursery enough. She has really blossomed into a confident little girl and the staff at Edwalton played a significant role in her development.
Her time at Edwalton thus far, has had many highlights. To mention a few, the staff noticed her creative side from early on and supported its development. She's learnt how to build relationships and manage her emotions. Finally, in preparing her for school, the preschool team continues to do an exceptional job. The general knowledge and life skills taught in the room are second to none. It is also important to remember the fantastic administrative team and all that they do in the background on a daily basis to keep the nursery functioning. My daughter loves going in every day and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Edwalton to another parent/carer.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.856 for Edwalton Day Nursery (Nottingham) is calculated as follows: ( (187 Excellents x 5) + (27 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 216 Ratings = 4.856
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Edwalton Day Nursery (Nottingham) is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 88 number of registered child places is 17.6, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
