Cedars Day Nursery is situated in Leighton Buzzard, close to the train station, and offers parents a fully inclusive service all-year-round. They have also obtained their Green Flag Eco-Schools award.

The nursery ensures that outdoor play is an important part of each child’s learning. Access to a large natural garden creates opportunities for all age groups of children to develop social, emotional and physical skills.

The children plant, harvest and taste a range of vegetables in their own vegetable plot.

The nursery focuses on parent partnership - once a month arrangements are made, such as stay and play or parent workshops.

Cedars also offer the extracurricular activity of Hart beeps every Monday morning from 9am across all rooms.

Long-standing, highly trained practitioners help support children's learning through a range of activities designed in line with EYFS principles.

Our son (15 months) started Cedars in October and the experience has been so brilliant for us all already. As soon as we had a tour we knew we wanted him to go here so we were so pleased to have a place offered. There is a warmth and friendliness from every staff member you meet which is unmatched by
other settings. Staff have really taken the time to get to know our son and he has really warmed to them, particularly his key worker. He is clearly thriving there and is very happy to be there. We don't get tears at drop off and he has sometimes been reluctant to leave his key worker's knee at pick up! Some parents might find this heartbreaking but this tells me everything I need to know about the care and attention he's receiving. We get a lot of photo updates through the day which is brilliant, and the thought and creativity that goes into the daily activities is really inspiring. I love that he has something new to interact with every day. Thank you so much.

We are so grateful to Cedars for giving our child the very best start in life. Our child attended from 9months old to 4 years old.
Every stage of our child's journey was handled with so much thought and kindness, helping them grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity. The activities have been
creative, engaging, and perfectly balanced between fun and learning, and we have loved seeing our child thrive both socially and academically.
What has stood out most is the genuine love and commitment of the whole team. The staff don't just care for the children-they nurture them, celebrate them, and encourage them to be the best version of themselves. The inclusive and welcoming environment has given our child such a rich foundation of respect and understanding for others, which we truly value.
Leaving feels like the end of a very special chapter, and we know our child will carry the happiest memories from their time here.

My boys have only just started at Cedars Day Nursery Leighton Buzzard this week and I'm touched by the positive, nurturing and welcoming week they've had. The staff are incredibly friendly, warm and helpful, and the updates/daily pictures are so heartwarming as I know my boys are receiving well-rounded
exposure to so many enriching activities to support their development. My boys have settled in so well and I trust they will continue to excel and enjoy their time here. Im super happy we finally got a space here and look forward to seeing what the future holds. Anything rated good at this stage is only because it's our first week but Im confident we'll continue to have an excellent experience throughout

As soon as we stepped into Cedars on our first visit, we knew we would love it and that our daughter would thrive! The staff are absolutely amazing: they do their job with such love and dedication every single day and the environment is so nurturing and welcoming, whether it is the ladies at reception,
in management, or the carers, they are absolutely fantastic. From day one the whole of Cedars knew our daughter's name and made her feel so safe and welcomed! Every day they take the time to give you a full debrief on how the day went, they make things so easy and they really adapt to your child's needs. We know for sure our daughter is in good hands when we leave her in the morning. The way they engage children in all the various and creative activities is amazing, they also closely follow how your child develops and always have suggestions of what to do to make things better. Communication is always clear and easy.There are no other nurseries we would want her to attend!

We are so over the moon happy with Cedars Day Nursery (Leighton Buzzard) for our daughter (2.5 yrs). Every single member of staff is fantastic and you can tell daily how much they care for the children and make every day the best it can be. Specifically, I'd like to mention one member of staff in particular
in the Bumblebees room. She's faultless and loves and cares for our daughter like her own. We couldn't be happier with her.

Our daughter moved to Cedars Day Nursery in September and has settled so well. She absolutely loves her key worker. The nursery keep you well informed about what the children get up to during the day. They do so many different activities, it's fantastic.

We love Cedars Day Nursery, this year has felt like a whirlwind of staff changes and while it has taken some time to adapt as parents, our kids never knew or expressed any worries. Their respective key workers were new this year too but they love them and both of them are so attentive. And the same

We couldn't have asked for a better start for our son. He started at Cedars in September -24, and I just like to give our gratitude to the staff for how well they have taken him and us on board. It can be scary handing your child over to strangers, but they very quickly made us and him feel safe and
no longer being strangers. Having his keyworker and the other familiar faces meeting him every day has given all of us the reassurance we need to keep him there. We know he is well looked after all day and the staff respects our wishes when it comes to naps and other routines. So far we have not had any issues with anything and are always met with positivity and good explanations when asking questions or inquiring about something. Highly recommend them!

Cedars Day Nursery has been in our lives for 7 years, as both of our children have gone through the nursery, so it was a sad day when we had to move on. Thankfully, the love, care, and teaching the staff have given our girls has equipped them with all the social skills and resilience to take on school
life. We will miss you all and thank you for being awesome at your jobs - I definitely couldn't do it!

We have had both our children at Cedars since they were babies through to preschool and they have both thrived here. All of the staff have been wonderful, kind, and caring. They have always been generous with their time and put in lots of effort to get to know each child individually. They have offered
a great mix of fun, learning, and being creative.
As parents, we have felt comfortable leaving our children with all of the staff and feel that are in capable and nurturing hands.
We can't rate cedars highly enough.

I love the care and attention my daughter receives. She is allowed to grow and be herself. She gets the extra cuddles in the morning on days she is finding hard.
The food is amazing and allows her to try different things.
The facilities are excellent, with the gardens being the best I've seen.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I was impressed by the bright, clean, and welcoming environment. The classrooms are spacious, filled with natural light, and equipped with a variety of educational toys and resources that keep the children engaged and stimulated. What truly sets this nursery
apart, however, is the staff. Every member of the team is warm, attentive, and genuinely cares about the well-being and development of the children. They go above and beyond to create a nurturing and safe environment where each child feels valued and understood. The teachers are highly skilled and bring a wealth of knowledge and creativity to their teaching methods. They communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates and feedback about our child's progress. Our child has flourished since starting at Cedars, developing new skills and forming strong bonds with both peers and teachers.

From day one we were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere. They take the time to get to know each child individually, which has helped our little ones settle in quickly. The nursery environment is vibrant and stimulating, with bright, spacious rooms and a wonderful outdoor area. There's a great balance
of structured activities and free play, ensuring that children are always engaged and learning in a fun, interactive way. The curriculum is well-rounded, with a mix of educational and creative activities that cater to all aspects of early childhood development. Communication with parents is excellent. We receive regular updates on their progress, along with photos and descriptions of their daily activities. This has given us peace of mind, knowing how they're progressing. Overall, Cedars has exceeded our expectations in every way. Our child is happy, confident and thriving thanks to the nurturing and supportive environment provided by the fantastic team.

We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery for our daughter. When she started she had just turned one and all of the staff went above and beyond to make the transition as smooth as possible for her and to help her to settle in. Our daughter absolutely loves her days at Cedars, she quite literally
squeals with excitement as she gets out of the car in the mornings! The activities the staff prepare for the children vary each day and are engaging and fun for them - our daughter learns so much. Everyone is so welcoming, kind, and friendly.

My little joined Cedars Nursery at the beginning of the year. From first introductions to settling in sessions the nursery has been fantastic at communicating with me and putting my family at ease. The staff are always welcoming and happy, greeting my little by name. In the Caterpillar room my little
is thriving and has clearly bonded with all the lovely staff, a special mention to his key worker who he really has taken a shine to, thank you! The staff keep us updated with pictures of what our littles have been up to and the activities are varied and interesting; sensory music classes; painting; messy play, to name a few. I also feel confident my little is getting lots of super tasty, nutritious food from the wonderful cooks. I am really happy with our choice of nursery and can see a jump in my little's progression since his time there. Would recommend highly!

My son has now been at Cedars for just under 2 years and I have to say the nursey, team and management are absolutely phenomenal.
He started in Ladybirds and has now been in Bumblebees for just under a year and I cannot fault them at all. I would love to name individual people in the Bumblebees class
however they are all fantastic, genuine and caring so I am nervous I leave one out. My son spends most of the day outside and is allowed to do what he enjoys and is encouraged to just be himself (currently he likes digging up worms).
He learns so much and has so much fun at the same time along with forming friends.
I cannot recommend Cedars enough. I could go on and on... however, I am sure you get the point I am making... if you reading this you are probably trying to find a nursery for your little one. Look no further as you have found it!

Cedars has been fantastic for both my children. They do such fun activities, eat better than I do, and the staff are so caring. My daughter comes back home full of excitement about playing in the garden, reading books, doing Hartbeeps, the artwork she's made, the phonics she's learnt and more. They've
really helped my son with his walking, doing lots of messy play with him and reading a particular character book 20 times in a row because he loves it so much! The staff really care and they're part of our support village as we raise our family.

Every staff member has a genuine smile on their face, regardless of time of day, what type of day they have had or even in the middle of a challenge. They spend the time to actively listen and provide the level of feedback you need. Welcome you by name and always know who your child is. They feel like
an extension to our family. The genuine love and care shown to my child by the Cedars Day Nursery team is phenomenal. That assurance has made the mental load of leaving my child so much more manageable than it had been in other child care settings. Most importantly you know and feel that the children are at the heart and centre of everything they do.

Lauren is the Manager of Cedars Day Nursery in Leighton Buzzard and has worked in the Early Years sector for 8 years. Lauren holds a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and is the Designated Safeguarding Lead.


Lauren is also Mental Health First Aid at work and First Aid trained.  Lauren is very passionate about ensuring that Cedars Day Nursery meet the needs of the children and their families.
