Review of Cherry Trees Day Nursery (Cranfield) from Emily J (Mother of Child) published on 15 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My daughter has been attending Cherry Trees since she was around 18 months of age, she is a sensitive little girl who has always struggled with transitions and separation however Cherry trees staff have always been so supportive, kind and nurturing to support her. For example when she first started she would only eat if spoon fed by her key worker on their lap, or would only sleep if cuddled - the staff accommodated all of this care until she was confident with the nursery routines. Now my daughter is in the preschool room, she has grown in confidence, making friends, group activities and her development has flourished. I am so pleased we chose this warm and inclusive setting for our little girl and her time here will always be remembered! I would like to say a particular thank you to Maia, Jade, Helen, Ellie and James who have cared for and supported our little girl.

Amazing nursery - wouldn't go anywhere else.
Cedars Day Nursery is the most sought-after nursery in Leighton Buzzard - and when you witness their provision you can understand why. My daughter has attended since she was 11months old and I always know she's in really good hands.
Caring staff - everyone is been so kind, warm and professional. Staff stay for a long time and are very experienced.
Strong communication - on the app you can see pictures, updates on meals, naps and nappy changes. The app is kept up-to-date and it gives me peace of mind that I can see what my daughter's been up to throughout the day. They send weekly bulletins with updates and support, including free classes parents can attend; we loved the First Aid training and Speech & Language sessions. There's a parent forum too.
Environment - every room has its own garden, with fantastic outdoor activities to stimulate and learn.

Safeguarding - they take safeguarding very seriously with good oversight from management.

Overall Experience
Our child started at Cedars Day Nursery in September 2025, having moved from another nursery setting. The settling-in process was thorough and gave our child lots of opportunities to become comfortable in their new environment. The staff are friendly and our child's key worker (along with the other practitioners) has been fantastic at building a bond with our child and us. We find all of the staff, including in the rooms, management and admin team, to be enthusiastic and approachable. The handovers are detailed and we like that these are done within the rooms. The rooms are nicely set-up and the outdoor areas are wonderful.
We receive regular updates via the app, including photos. The communication with parents is excellent, including newsletters, and queries are promptly responded to. There are opportunities for parents to get involved, including parent evenings, parent forums and stay and play sessions.

Thank you for the outstanding care provided - our child loves attending nursery!

We and our son love Cedars. The staff are so patient and kind and our son thrives in their care. It was very hard putting him in for 5 days when he had only just turned one but he settled in well and the staff were absolutely amazing. Our son is a bit of a koala baby but the team were so understanding and make sure he gets lots of hugs as and when he needs them. His confidence has soared since he started and its so wonderful to see how well he interacts with the other children. He is happy, healthy and well looked after, everything we could ask for and would recommend this nursery to anyone who asks!

We recommend Cherry Trees to everyone we know - and for good reason. Every single member of the team is so kind, patient, and genuinely caring. The activities are always thoughtfully planned and purposeful, and it's clear how much time and heart goes into creating such a wonderful environment for the children.
From Lorraine and the office team, to Hendrick the chef, and to Amy and the whole staff, everyone goes above and beyond every single day. They know the children so well, and it really shows in the way they support, encourage, and look after them.
I honestly never thought anyone could care about my child as much as I do, but the team at Cherry Trees absolutely do - and that means the world to us. We'll be so sad when our son eventually moves on, because this place has been such a special part of his early years.

We couldn't recommend Cherry Trees more highly!

I am really happy with our choice in Cherry Trees. We moved to the area recently and so my daughter had to change nurseries. Every effort was made by all to ease the transition for both her and us. The office team were great with helping to figure out all the admin stuff and my million questions. The welcome my daughter received and the support with settling her into the new space, routines and environment was amazing! The team in the pre-school class have been so great, showing such kindness and care as my daughter settled and they continue to help her grow and learn. We are always greeted warmly at drop offs and pick ups and receive regular updates feedback! Would highly recommend!!!

The staff and team at Cherry trees are very kind and friendly and both my daughters key workers have helped her both start at nursery and move up rooms seamlessly and she loves going in and all the activities she gets to participate in. The food she has is varied and she enjoys it very much! The facilities at the nursery are ideal for her as she grows and also has plenty of parking for drop offs which is a massive bonus. Feel very fortunate that my daughter has found such a lovely place to attend Nursery.

Overall the quality and care that is provided to both my children is fantastic. The staff are totally engaged in helping the children develop, they always keep us updated with what they've been up to, what they need to work on outside of nursery and we can really see the impact thats had. Both my children attend the nursery and absolutely love it. They've built friendships and lovely connections with their key workers which is always great to see.

The layout and cleanliness of the nursery is also fantastic. Its bright, welcoming and just a great environment for the children to be in. I've also been impressed with the variety of meals they get which has really helped my children to try new things that they wouldn't usually try at home.

Overall Experience
My little boy has been going to Lavenders in the Caterpillar Room since January. I was really nervous about leaving him somewhere new, but the staff have been so accommodating, patient and genuinely caring - not just with my son, but with me too.
All of the team are so friendly, and after just a few weeks my son was reaching out for them to take him. He's now so happy and smiley at both drop-off and pick-up, and it's clear he has built a real connection with them all. I also love that it isn't just the key worker who builds a relationship with the children it really is a whole team approach.

We recently received a report from the nursery and it was brilliant to see how perfectly they captured my son's personality. It really shows they understand him and are getting the very best out of him. He's very active and doesn't tend to sit with one toy for long, but the Caterpillar Room is so stimulating for him, and they regularly change the activities to keep things engaging.

We love Cedars! The staff are attentive, kind and can't do enough to help you. My son started in September and since then, they have helped us to support him through welcoming a new sibling, and they're now helping us with potty training too! The food is nutritious, and the nursery celebrate a multitude of cultural holidays and festivals throughout the year. They have a huge outdoor space which we love, as well as planned themed activities for indoors. We'd recommend cedars to anyone!

Our daughter started here in August 2024 aged two, after we moved to the area. From the start she has thrived, growing in confidence and learning new skills. The care is excellent and we are always kept informed. Any issues are quickly dealt with. This is a place that she loves coming to and leaves each day with stories to tell. We have experienced two prior nurseries and Cedars definitely sets the bar; we highly recommend it. Both keyworkers (Aurora, Mollie) my daughter has had have been excellent too: they really got to know her little personality and bring her out of her shell. She will miss Cedars when she leaves for big school this September, but we are all happy that her little brother will be joining shortly after.
