Day Nurseries Owned by Childbase Partnership in Oxfordshire

Our experience at Julia Durbin Nursery has been wonderful so far. The staff are all very friendly and professional. The space itself is clean and safe. Our daughter has made good connections with her key workers already and seems very happy to go to nursery.

We couldn't be happier with our experience since our son joined the nursery in September 2026. His transition was seamless, and he settled in so quickly and easily, which is a real testament to the warmth and care of the team. He has formed an incredible bond with both his key person and secondary key person, as well as lovely relationships with the other adults in his room. It is so reassuring to know he is surrounded by people who genuinely care about him, make him feel safe and happy, and clearly love what they do. Their enthusiasm, kindness and dedication shine through in everything they do. As parents, knowing he is so happy, settled and well cared for means the world to us. We are incredibly grateful to the whole team and couldn't recommend the nursery more highly!

Very happy with the care our daughter receives in this nursery. The staff is really approachable. Having the app to check how our daughter is eating and sleeping throughout the day is really helpful as well. Will definitely recommend.

We're so happy we chose Julia Durbin Nursery for our little boy! What impressed me from the start was how much effort they put into helping children settle in. We were offered six free settling-in sessions, whereas other nurseries only offered two. This made such a difference, especially as our son initially found the transition quite emotional. The nursery has a lovely, spacious garden where children can enjoy free-flow play between indoors and outdoors. I also love the support they offer parents through masterclasses on behaviour management, first aid, and speech and language development. It's wonderful that they go the extra mile for families! Communication is fantastic too. The admin team are always friendly, helpful and incredibly quick to respond. We also receive regular, detailed updates through the app about our son's day, which I really appreciate. Overall, a wonderful nursery that genuinely cares about children and their families. Highly recommended!

The staff were very lovely towards my son. I appreciate how they were helpful and approachable, i am very happy with my experience. Thank you to the whole team for taking such good care of our son and for all the love and attention that you give to him.

We feel incredibly lucky to have been able to secure a place for our daughter at this nursery. We couldn't be happier with it in every respect!

Our daughter is genuinely excited to go there every morning..and she absolutely loves mealtimes!! She happily tries a wide variety of different foods, and we really appreciate how much this contributes to broadening her tastes and enriching her diet.

The staff are incredibly attentive, and the activities they organise are helping her develop so much. The kindness, warmth and affection shown by every single member of the team are particularly special to us and something we truly value.

The facilities are also beautiful, and the overall standard of care is outstanding. Everything is of such a high standard, and we couldn't be more satisfied with our experience.

We would recommend this nursery wholeheartedly to any parent. We genuinely have nothing negative to say; we are absolutely delighted with every aspect of it!

We love Garsington. We were one of the first to experience it from the day it opened and it's been so friendly and professional since day one. Every member of staff is helpful and says hello, it's very organised and communication is fast and efficient - one of the few who could clearly explain to me the extremely confusing funding, too! Our daughter loves it and we're very happy to have found it, I would highly recommend it.

The app isn't updated as well as I wished, but that is my only small issue.

We are extremely happy with care provided for our little boy at Julia Durbin. All of the staff have taken the time to get to know our family and are extremely supportive, friendly and truly care about our little boy. He has settled in well and always seems happy when we collect him. We receive regular updates on the app and so we feel part of his day! We are so pleased that we chose Julia Durbin and wouldn't hesitate to send our children there in future too!

Very grateful for the consistent, nurturing and reliable care my daughter received at Sandfield. Very fond memories of the setting as now both of my children have been through the nursery and are confident, happy and eager to learn at 'big school' - Thank you

We highly recommend Julia Durbin. Our daughter has attended for the past two years, and we have been consistently impressed by the exceptional care and support she has received. The staff go above and beyond to create a nurturing environment, providing a wide range of engaging activities that encourage learning and confidence. We have been really impressed with the recent updates to the facilities, the staff retention and have really enjoyed attending the annual summer fete. We will greatly miss being part of the Julia Durbin community and are grateful for the strong foundation they have given her early education.

We have always been bowled over by how unflappable, kind and devoted the staff at Julia Durbin have been - to the two daughters of ours who went there for several years. We were always kept updated and reassured about the things the girls were doing (which were invariably inventive, fun and interesting); the key workers were always attentive and caring; and, as other reviews have said, it was clear that the staff genuinely cared about the wellbeing of our children. We're in no doubt whatsoever that our girls finished JD significantly better off, having learned lots of key life lessons and had a huge amount of fun. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery.

I couldn't do my 3 year degree without this nursery and support. Thank you all so very much to all the wonderful ladies who look after my son every single day.

I've never once worried about her when dropping off, and she is always so happy there. Now, with the youngest one starting in the baby room, it's a delight to go through the journey again!

JD will forever hold a special place in our heart.

We are really going to miss Julia Durbin, and are incredibly grateful to all the staff for giving our son the best start to his education. Our son started at 10 months old and stayed until the end of pre-school, everything has been perfect, and he could not be better prepared going into primary school. I can't think of a single fault. The staff go above and beyond, the variety of activities and excursions is great and management are always available to help, they even helped us prepare our son for moving house and got some specific books to help him with the move. The food is great, the chefs are always interacting with the kids, it's just a really great environment. The receptionist is incredibly helpful and welcoming, it has been great communication throughout. I'm very impressed with how the staff find the time to update the app, it is so nice seeing pictures of your kid having fun and learning whilst you're at work.

Our experience of the Ladybirds room (age 1-2) was really positive and we found it to be a very caring and loving environment. Our relationship with her key person, Trudy, as well as the wider classroom staff, was excellent and we were regularly kept informed of her progress throughout the day via the App, as well as in end of day handovers which were very thorough.

Our daughter's learning and development was really encouraged and stimulated in Ladybirds via engaging and varied activities throughout the day, and the staff made a real effort to provide the best possible environment for our child. We felt really happy with the care and attention she was given and the room staff are all extremely passionate and dedicated.

I cannot recommend Julia Durbin highly enough. Our son attended for nearly three years, starting when he was just one year old, and he truly thrived throughout his time there.

Every member of the team-from the leadership and nursery staff to the chefs-consistently went above and beyond to ensure he felt safe, happy, and well cared for. Their dedication, kindness, and genuine commitment to his wellbeing made all the difference.

During his time at the nursery, he has learned so much, grown in confidence, and built wonderful friendships with his peers. We are excited for him to begin his preschool journey, but we are also incredibly sad that his time at Julia Durbin has come to an end. We will always be grateful for the care, support, and positive experiences the entire team has given him.

Great care for my little one. He enjoys his experience and looks forward to seeing his carers and friends. The communication is good. My only complaint would be the cost, however I do understand the costs

As parents we always feel welcome and included and free to ask for feedback or advice about our child.
