My son has had a really positive experience at this nursery. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and they've been very accommodating from the start. It can be difficult leaving your child somewhere new, but the team made the whole process much easier and I always feel comfortable knowing he
is safe and well looked after while he's there.
The staff are very attentive and clearly care about the children. My son has built a lovely relationship with his caregivers, which is really nice to see and very reassuring as a parent. When he was poorly, they were extremely caring and kept a close eye on him, making sure he was comfortable and keeping me informed.
Since starting nursery, I've noticed how much he has learned and developed. They plan lots of creative activities and also offer activity packs to encourage learning and development at home, which I think is a great idea.
Overall it has been a really positive experience for all three of us.

We are so happy with how Otis has settled in to nursery and that really is down to all the amazing staff members who look after him.
The inside and outside areas have loads for the children to play and interact with and they seem to take every opportunity to play outside when possible which we are
really happy with.
The management staff have also been great, accommodating requests and keeping us updated with anything that is going on.
Really happy Otis is at Little Pioneers and couldn't think of a single recommendation for improvement.

My little boy started in September 2025 and he has come on amazingly since starting the nursery all the staff are so lovely each and everyone has made such a difference to this new adventure and I'm so grateful, all staff are amazing at helping out and listening to my boys needs. I'm so happy I decided
to send him to this nursery I couldn't have chosen a better one for him.
They are very good at updating the app to let me know what he's had for food, when he's having a nap, trips and nappy changes, it's nice to be updated and just to know what's going on it gives me piece of mind :) their meals are so good and nutritious with plenty of snacks
Thank you all so much

Returning to work from maternity leave can be an emotional and challenging time for a parent. Finding the right childcare for my son was stressful, especially after another nursery had unfortunately declined to offer him a place. During this difficult period, the team at the nursery were incredibly
supportive and understanding. The manager (Shaun) went above and beyond to help us. He took the time to listen to my concerns and made a real effort to ensure my son was able to have a space at the nursery. His kindness, empathy, and willingness to help truly made a huge difference to our family. Knowing that my child will be welcomed gives me the reassurance I need to return to work with peace of mind. The care and dedication shown by the staff have meant so much to us. We are incredibly grateful for the support we received at such an important time in our lives. Thank you for making what could have been a very stressful situation so much easier and for creating a warm welcoming for Isaac.

Our child loves attending the nursery! Their key person is so attentive and has helped them gain in confidence. The nursery facilities are great too, particularly the garden. Also the food provided is great, our child is a bit fussy but the staff always try to accommodate them and think of ways to introduce
the food so that they might be more inclined to eat it.

Charlotte has become much more independent since attending the nursery and really enjoys exploring and playing on her own. It has been lovely to see her confidence grow. Like many children starting nursery, she has had a few colds along the way, but this seems very common as children build their immunity

Our one year old started at Little Pioneers Bristol in January 2026 and settled so quickly thanks to the wonderful staff. Shania, his key worker, has such a special bond with our boy, but all the wonderful ladies are great with him - Liv, Gabrielle, Naomi and more. We couldn't be more grateful to have
found a safe, caring, fun place for our boy to spend four days a week at. Highly recommend!

My son has been attending since the autumn and I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. Having been very reluctant to commit to which days he was meant to attend once I went back to work, the nursery manager has been incredibly understanding and thoughtful in helping me to navigate the process
of transition. All the staff are wonderfully caring and nurturing, my little boy settled in so well and has tremendously grown in confidence and made such wonderful progress in all aspects of his learning since he started. The chef's food is excellent and provides a wealth of inspiration for cooking at home, and she always has a kind word for the children and the parents alike. I feel very well informed by the nursery which gives me such reassurance and I can tell how comfortable my son is in this home from home environment. The activities throughout the day all seem very enriching and it's so comforting to know that all the staff make a real effort in getting to know each child! Thank you!

Both my son and daughter currently attend Little Pioneers at St Richard's Hospital. My son has been attending for just over two years and really enjoys his days there. He settled in quickly at nine months old and now he is almost three and in pre-school, he eagerly runs up the path into the nursery.
The staff are all kind, caring, fun yet totally professional. He enjoys eating the food at the nursery more than the food he gets at home and will talk about the staff and the friends he has made there.
The updates through the app are good and we especially enjoy seeing photos of our son and the other children in his group having fun. Our daughter joined this year and sadly has had health problems which have limited her days attending as she has been in hospital. We have had nothing but support and understanding from the staff and management of the nursery. She will be back next month and we hope that she enjoys the Little Pioneers experience as much as her brother now she is returning.

All i want for my child is a caring environment where she can socialise, play and learn. I found everything i was looking for at Little Pioneers. My daughter has an amazing keyworker who closely watches her development and communicates with me on a regular basis. My daughter loves her so much that everynight
before she goes to sleep she says goodnight to her and all her friends at the nursery. The office staff go out of their way to help us arrange extra sessions. I think the nursery would probably benefit from hiring more permanent staff, and a sensory room.
Reply from Tsehay Alemayehu, Nursery Manager at Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Maida ValeThank you so much for your kind words. We are glad that your daughter enjoys the nursery and has built strong bonds with her keyworker. We are actively recruiting for more staff to join our team.

My child has attended Tavistock for almost 4 years, the nursery stood out for me during the initial viewing when the staff made me feel so comfortable and let my little one explore on their own. My child has thrived since being at Tavistock, coming on in their development week in and week out. It's
the little things Tavistock doesn't miss, Valentine's Day and the personalised yearly calendars. The facilities are fantastic and my child loves the garden and being able to explore the outdoors while being supervised and learning!
The range of food options available are always great and varied, again my child exploring foods they normally wouldn't touch at home.
All of the staff will always have time for you and the care they provide is fantastic. Thank you!
