Little Pioneers Swindon is a purpose built, modern nursery which is all on one level with large, bright and airy rooms and their supportive practitioners make Swindon feel like one big family.

They have an app, ParentZone, which keeps parents/carers informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, meals eaten, assessments and even toilet training progress! They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to express their feelings to taking care of the world.

They are big on happy children which is why they have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world. They are silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

They are also big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.

At Little Pioneers Swindon Hospital Nursery there are four age appropriate spacious rooms, nought to one-year-olds, one to two-year-olds, two to three-year-olds and three to five-year-olds. All rooms have direct access and 'free flow' into the secure garden area. Each room is self-contained with a sleep room, nappy and toilet area and a milk kitchen for younger rooms.

My son has been attending this nursery for 18 months and we couldn't be more impressed with little pioneers. The staff are fantastic, my son is currently in little creators 1 and they do an incredible job at creating fun sensory activities for all the children. We get personalised updates at every collection
about what he's been up to as well as ad hoc photos uploaded on the associate family app. The staff are personable and committed - leaving our son here feels safe and it feels as though they are genuinely interested in the children's individuals personalities and development. They also did a fantastic job in supporting our toddlers potty training journey. I've got nothing negative at all to say about little pioneers, it's a fantastic nursery we would recommend to anyone. Our daughter had her last day at Little Pioneers yesterday as she begins reception next week. It has been a wonderful three years watching her grow from a 10-month-old baby into a curious and confident four-year-old - and so much of that is thanks to the dedication of the staff and management at Little
Pioneers.
I've often wondered how the team at the front desk manage to know every child's name, greeting them on a first-name basis each day. It's more than just a nice touch - it shows how genuinely they know and care for the children.
This review is really a note of gratitude: thank you for the role you've played in our daughter's life, and for the continued care you are now giving to her little brother.

We are so pleased with the care and attention to development the staff at the nursery have provided to our son since he joined at 10 months old and is now turning 4. They have been consistent throughout. Staff are friendly and approachable and you can tell they have a passion for what they do.
We
are also sending our new baby to this nursery when the time comes and I have no reservations about it like I did with my first boy as I know he will be well looked after and the development and skills they learn are brilliant.

It's been a year since my little one has been at Little Pioneers and we absolutely love it. My little one has a good bond with all the teachers in the class and a extra special bond which her key carer which makes me so happy. I've seen her develop and learn new things that amazes me and she is always
a happy girl going to school. I feel confident and at ease knowing she's having the best day with the best people forming the core parts of her foundation. Communication from the school is also great and I genuinely get the feeling that the love and adore the kids.

My child has been attending this nursery for just over 2 years and during that time we've seen him flourish in his social skills, communication and most recently his literacy and numeracy skills. The staff have always been supportive and friendly and take the time to know the children under their care.
I cannot recommend this nursery enough and come the summer we'll be sending our second child to them in complete confidence that he too will thrive.

The team deal effortlessly with changes in staff members and introducing themselves to be new key workers and speedily get to know the children. Caters very well to manage allergies and dietry requirements, outstanding in fact. Very well managed since we've been using the nursery for 5.5 years. Will
be sad not to walk in each day come September once our youngest leaves preschool to see all the smiling faces and greetings at both ends of the day from the team. Always friendly and will try and pop in to say "hi" every now and again when the time comes!

My grandaughter has been lucky enough to go to this amazing nursery since she was just over 1 years old. All the staff are super, knowledgeable, professional and caring. They create a safe and stimulating environment, supporting and challenging all the children in their care. I am particularly impressed
with their continual updates and reports on my granddaughter's progress and her general enjoyment of every day. Communication from her key worker and the office is excellent, as are the tasty nutritious meals she devours. She loves every minute she's there, she is happy and joyful and busy learning in an engaging and loving environment.

Amazing! My son loves his nursery and his teachers. Couldn't be happier with his speaking and learning since he's been attending 3 days a week. He loves going and coming home to tell me all about his days and the gifts they get them to make and bring back are lovely, so much attention to detail.

A brilliant nursery that is so convenient for me working at the hospital. My eldest has been attending since he was 5 months old and is now in the preschool room and my soon to be 9 months old will be joining in January. Staff are excellent and ensure you are given a good handover of what they have
done each day. They listen to any concerns you may have and really help to put you at ease. My little boy loves going which speaks volumes! Highly recommend.

My little boy started nursery in September 2024, from initial contact to his first day, it was a smooth transition! The staff were so welcoming, having never really left my son with others apart from family, I was feeling a bit nervous, but we were made to feel so at ease and nothing was too much! They
kept us updated with lots of pictures on his first day. All staff always greet you with a lovely smile! Rooms are also spacious for the children to explore and play. Couldn't recommend them enough.

We booked a place for our son before his birth as we were very impressed with the nursery and he started from 6 months old. He is now leaving having turned 4+ and we are very happy with his time at the nursery. It is a very lively and vibrant place that encourages a child's overall development. Everything
from facilities to food, to staff, to care overall has been excellent. It was an emotional day for us to attend his graduation ceremony recently! As he starts school soon we and our son will miss the nursery dearly and we thoroughly recommend it to other families!

I have worked at the nursery since the day it opened in 2003 and have loved developing it into the amazing place it is today! I have over 30 years of experience in childcare and use my knowledge and experience to build the team and the nursery to be the best.


As a mum of 2, I know what things are important to families and cascade these thoughts and feelings to the team so they get a true understanding and empathy towards our families.

I was first introduced to the Little Pioneers nursery when I completed a placement here as part of my college training back in 2012. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, so much so that I applied for a position and became a colleague as soon as I completed my training! I have worked my way up from Nursery Nurse to Room Manager, Third in charge and most recently I have taken on the role of the Deputy Manger. I worked in the 2-3s and under 2 ages mainly. I am the nursery SENCO and enjoy supporting families that need a little bit more support for their child. I work full time so you will get to see me every day, I'm always happy to stop for a chat and if you need to pick my brains about something then I'm here for you!
