Co-op Childcare Littlehampton is a purpose-built nursery and is made up of six rooms and a large garden.

They have areas for growing food ( and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and care for each other and the world. Their ParentZone app keeps parents/carers informed about their little ones at nursery with photos from their day, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

They are big on safety and that's why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with the children, from encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.

They hold the silver award in the green flag eco schools programme which sees children lead the way in making a little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

At Co-op Childcare Littlehampton they like to learn through play with regular Forest School inspired activities where they encourage all of their children to explore outdoors as part of their development.

Very happy with the staff in general at Little Pioneers in Littlehampton - always a friendly greeting on arrival, with thorough updates on my daughter's progress.
It's a pleasure to see how happy Charli is when I collect her, & reassuring to get regular updates through the day, with pictures as well
as the logged information.
Thank you

The team at the co-op are so supportive and nurturing. They work so hard to provide a safe, fun and stable environment. My son loves it and my daughter previously took. They are open to suggestions, responsive to messages and supportive with challenges. Thank you!

Our daughter has been coming to this nursery since she was 10 months old. She has been so happy here and has thrived under the care of all the staff she has been with. She goes in happily every morning and the updates and pictures are always lovely when we receive them. My only concerns since she started
have been that she transitioned between 4 rooms very quickly, when compared to friends of her age who have only had 2 transitions at their nurseries respectively. Luckily, our daughter has managed the transition and change well each time, no doubt due to the care given by the staff, so it hasn't been too much of an issue for us, and I know they have been reviewing room ages as they have 5 lovely spaces to use! The play spaces always look lovely with lots of enticing activities, and they have a large outdoor area that she loves exploring too. Staff are always friendly and approachable.

Our daughter has attended Little Pioneers at Littlehampton since she was 10 months old, starting in the baby room and is now in the preschool room.
During her time here, she has been so well cared for. The team are amazing and take the time to genuinely get to know the children and all their little
traits that make them unique. During our time here, the team have also supported us as a family through the bereavement of my mum - offering extra sessions for our daughter, whilst we made funeral arrangements and sharing stories to help her express her feelings during this time.
I am so grateful for all they have done for us - I honestly feel our daughter has thrived in their care and I would recommend them whole heartedly.

Our child recently started at the nursery, and the staff could not be anymore accommodating and patient whilst our little one settles in. They have taken away so much stress, and given us nothing but a fantastic experience.
I feel confident that my daughter is in the safest hands, and is learning
to flourish!

Couldn't ask for a better nursery for both my children to be in. The staff are all so lovely, welcoming and nurturing. My son came here before he went to school in September and my daughter still goes here. We have received nothing but the best care for our babies and it's the most reassuring feeling
leaving them and trusting they are in safe hands.

Great nursery, with great staff.
My daughter attends 3 days a week and absolutely loves it. The staff make sure there is always plenty of fun and engaging activities to do, including messy play, time outside in the garden, stories and role play (to name a few). A really good combination of learning
and play. The food menu is varied, and they will often get my daughter to eat things she turns her nose up at home!
The staff create lovely bonds with the children, and provide feedback and advice on how to support development (for example potty training, literacy and numeracy). I would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter attends this nursery and we couldn't be happier with it. She is always so excited to go in and comes home smiling, which says everything. The staff are kind, caring, and attentive, and it's clear that the children are really well looked after. The environment feels safe, nurturing, and welcoming,
and we have great confidence in the care she receives every day. We're very grateful to have found such a lovely nursery and would highly recommend it to other parents.

My 1 year started in Grasshoppers in September. It was hard going back to work and putting her in so early as shes a July baby so one of the youngest in the group. But shes had such wonderful attention from the staff and they've really looked after through all the difficult stages at this age like walking,
developing immune system, weaning, independence and socialising. I get regular updates through the app and its easy to get in touch with them. Would highly recommend Co-op Little Pioneers Littlehampton and a huge thank you to all the staff looking after my little girl.

All 3 of my children have attended the nursery in Littlehampton, my eldest is 12 now and absolutely loved her time at nursery. I currently have my 3 year old there at the moment who has autism and global developmental delay, they have been amazing with her, she's come on so much since starting and are
always happy to go out of their way to help her, they were extremely helpful with my 5 year old (left in December) who is also autistic, they made sure she got her echp and were happy to keep her there until she was 5. Recommend 100%

Amazing nursary. My child has sen needs and she has been supported and helped to develop through her years at nursary. She has gone from a shy child that struggeled to even get in the door. To a confident child loving going.

My daughter started at this Nursery when she was 11 months old, now 3 and in the pre-school room.
All the staff have been very good and attentive, particularly all her key workers. She has loved them all and enjoys her day at Nursery.
When my daughter found it a challenge to leave a room and move
to a new room. Mainly because she didn't want to leave her key worker. The staff always found a way to make the transition smooth and she soon loved her new special person.
I would recommend this Nursery.

My son has been attending since he was 10 months old and now is three and in pre school.
The staff are all amazing, friendly and caring. All the staff know the children and make a point to get to know them, their likes and dislikes. They make the children feel welcome and part of the nursery community.
In each room the staff have helped my son settle into the new room when he moves up as he can struggle with transitions but they make him feel safe and happy.
Great range of food for their meals and good range of toys, activities and outdoor space.
My son says the staff make him laugh and are funny.
Would recommend to others.

An amazing nursery. My son started in October 2 mornings a week, drop offs were hard with lots of tears to now no tears. Happy to go in and even asking to go in on his off days. Not only has his speech come on leaps and bounds but so has his eating. He is now trying foods he wouldn't even contemplate
at home. The ladies are just amazing, so caring, patient and kind. I travel a 20 minute drive to bring my child here and would happily do more. I'm so glad I chose this nursery.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.993) out of 10 for Co-op Childcare Littlehampton is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.993 for Co-op Childcare Littlehampton is calculated as follows: ( (274 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 276 Ratings = 4.993
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Co-op Childcare Littlehampton is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 111 number of registered child places is 22.2, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
