Your Co-op Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school Reading is right in the heart of Reading city centre, within walking distance of the train station and their nursery is set in a beautiful, charismatic listed church building with four spacious rooms, one for each age group.

Their ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress! They use their 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.

The nursery team are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. The nursery is also silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

They are big on happy children which is why they have an area for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

The nursery has its own garden area, which is well equipped including a children's playhouse and slide. There is also a wooden shelter to provide shade and cover and to ensure that children can access the outdoors in all weather conditions.

Our daughter recently started in the Baby Room and the care and attention that she's received has been outstanding - thank you so much to Becky, Sarah and Amy for making her transition to nursery such a positive experience. Our first child has just started at this nursery and we were so nervous to send her to nursery, but the Little Explorers carers have been brilliant at helping us all through the process. This is such an important milestone in our parenthood journey and we have felt as supported as we could be and our
little one has been making progress fast. So grateful for the hard work that the carers put in, their patience and kindness.

My daughter has been at this nursery for over a year and half now and i more than happy with her progress and the staff assigned to her. Regularly updated via the portal and ive seen such a massive improvement in her development and interaction with other people/children in small/big groups. The staff
work really hard and to keep our children safe with safety updates/reminders.
She looks forward to going to Nursery and thats all down to how shes been cared for at the nursery. Would happily recommend this nursery to other parents!

My daughter attended Co-op Little Pioneers for over 3 years, and I couldn't be happier with the experience she had there. From the very beginning, the staff made her feel safe, welcome, and loved. They are truly caring, patient, and attentive, and it shows in how much the children enjoy being there.
During
her time at the nursery, my daughter grew so much both in confidence and in her learning. She always looked forward to going in the mornings and came home full of stories about her day. It really became like a second home for her, and we could see how much she thrived in such a nurturing environment.
We are so grateful to all the lovely staff for giving her such a happy and memorable start to her learning journey. I would highly recommend Co-op Little Pioneers to any parent looking for a caring and supportive place for their child.

The girls have created a fun event for all parents to enjoy. They have carefully thought about the event to ensure all the children are around. All staff are happy and helpful. It has been well enjoyed for everyone.

The staff is absolutely amazing, giving a fantastic caring and learning experience to my son. The help with potty training was outstanding and the regular updates on the app are really helpful. The nursery values are great and the food choices are healthy and nutritious.
Unfortunately, the nursery
fees went up last year making it one of the most expensive nurseries in the area. Also there are only four parking spaces that are often long time busy making the drop-offs and pickups sometimes stressful.
Children have a good time there, but they go for outings only few times a year (2-3).

We love this nursery. My daughter has been attending this nursery for 1.5 years and loves it there. She loves coming to nursery and thrives there. All staff is very caring, and we appreciate how they spend time ensuring kids make a bond with their key person. Our daughter has already been in three rooms
and settled really well in all of them. They offer great communication (great balance of comms through the app but without asking the staff to be on the iPad all day!) and we love the fact that the food is healthy and cooked on site. We have already signed our younger daughter to start later this year.

The only thing I would say that needs improvement is the smell being an old building.
Everything else is top notch. Staff are generous and always up for discussing your childs day. Constant updates through out the day and targets for at home and in nursery regarding learning.
They have a lovely outside
space and a fake grass inside area for when the weather is really bad.

My little boy has been attending this nursery since a young age and I really cannot fault the place. Such lovely, warm, welcoming staff who always have smiles on their faces. The facilities are great and I'm always kept informed should I need to know anything. Very good updates at pick-up summarising
the day which is appreciated and the app is updated regularly which again is important to my wife and I. Overall I'd highly recommend Little Pioneers as a great option for your little ones. Special shout out to one staff member in particular who's been great. Thank you all.

We have used Co-op Childcare in Reading since 2018, for both our children. They have been exceptional every step of the way. They are massively elevated by the quality of staff, from cleaners to managers, cooks, practitioners and everyone, they have been brilliant. I cannot recommend them enough. I
had one complaint in 6 years, the poor parking set-up, which is more about my convenience than any level of child care. I can not recommend them high enough.

My son has been attending Little Pioneers since December. He absolutely loves it here and expresses excitement every time we go through the front door. All the staff are involved and kind, knowing his name and asking after him. The communication and support from the service has been excellent.

Fab nursery! Such lovely staff, my little boy absolutely loves it, he gets so excited walking to nursery! He’s learnt so much being there and made some little friends too! Highly recommend this nursery to anybody. The updates we get as parents on the app are also amazing, it’s so nice to have those

Our son has attended since he was nine months old and is now nearly four. Every room and key worker he has had had been fantastic. All the staff know him and he has formed bonds with all the staff and kids. He has learned so much, skills ranging from eating, and potty training, and now even learning
his letters and numbers. The staff in preschool are outstanding. They look after the children with genuine affection and a great sense of humour, which they pass on to the kids. The activities they come up with are fantastic. I'll be genuinely sad when my son leaves for school later this year but am looking forward to his little brother starting this summer. There is no one else I would rather trust my boys with! Thank you!

Great nursery. Pre-school staff are incredible, my little one loves being there. Big shout to the staff, really everyone is amazing! My child is learning so much, she's doing yoga, P.E., baking, singing, dancing, playing and having a lot of fun!

I have said this before, and I will say it again, I am 100% pleased with this nursery. Not only do they have a great team of caretakers, but the management is exceptional. Always there to help, always understanding and doing everything they can to help parents with any need they may have. I am so happy
with these people - never ever had any issues, and their communication is great. Have recommended this nursery to all my friends with kids, and will continue to do so.

Our son is very emotional and the same was visible and observed by the caretakers in Co-op nursery Reading. We are glad that the caretaker for him has been really taking great care of him. Sharing his pictures of what he is doing during the day really relieves the anxiety out of us and for this thanks
to her and all the nursery members. They know how to calm him down in the mornings and are very responsive to my kid's actions and keep us posted on his activities during the day.

Our daughter has been going to this nursery for 4 years now and there has never been a day when she isn't happy when we pick her up. This tells you a lot about the environment they provide for kids which they enjoy being part of. We have recommended it to a few of our friends as well who also have only
good things to say. We are happy our daughter actually spend her initial years here as she has learned a lot more than other kids we know from other places. Furthermore, the staff are very friendly, kind and caring including the leadership team.
