The recently refurbished Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Newbiggin makes you feel like you've gained new family members when you meet their friendly, approachable team at their purpose-built, all-on-one level nursery.

Their ParentZone app keeps parents informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals are eaten and even toilet training progress! They are big on safety which is why all their staff are Paediatric first aid trained.

The nursery are Green Flag eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

They have 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with children, such as encouraging them to be independent to expressing their feelings.

The nursery has an outdoor play area that is surrounded by the remainder of the building, making it a safe and secure environment for children to play in. Staff and children take advantage of all of the local amenities which include two play areas, one at the entrance to nursery and one at the rear.

A great nursery. A great help on many occassions. Lovely staff who welcome you in and always have/make time to speak Brilliant handovers and made leavingmy 8 month old less daunting. Also love receiving photos on the app so I can see what my child has been up to. Thank you.

My son and daughter both attend this nursery. The development they have shown since starting is amazing. They love going and have been supported through each transition by staff. My son has a care plan in place to help with his medical needs and this is regularly checked and updated. The nursery has
great communication. They update regularly throughout the day. Would recommend this nursery.

What a welcoming setting! We knew from visiting before baby arrived that this was the nursery for us - all staff are approachable and you can see how much they care for the children. Staff are super helpful with admin and go the extra mile to support emotional parents as well as the children! Staff
use the app well and we feel updated throughout the day. A range of activities seem to be on offer as well as extra-curricular activities too!

Nursery have been amazing since my son started in baby room this year. They have been very supportive while we have been looking into potential allergies. He is always really happy while there an enjoys the activities planned. I can't fault nursery and would recommend in future. It would be nice if
babies could go outside more but I understand this isn't always possible.

I am extremely happy with the service the nursery provides. All staff are friendly, polite and show great kindness and enthusiasm to all of the children in their care.
Communication between staff and parents is always thorough and you can tell that good relationships with parents is one of the nursery's
key values.
My daughter absolutely loves nursery and has nurturing relationships with many of the staff. Particularly April, Paige and Katrina. I couldn't recommend this nursery more.

My daughter has just graduated in August. She was an absolute wreck every morning going through the doors and it was soul destroying and so difficult leaving her. The teachers updated me constantly and comforted her at every chance, we have now actually been in floods that she has graduated. She has
had the best two years and the bonds she has built with her teachers has been unbreakable. I'm confident enough to recommend this nursery and the staff to anyone I know. Thankyou to all they have done for her.

Our son has beet at Little Pioneers since he was 8 months old and they have been nothing short of exceptional. Not only has he had heaps of fun, but he's full of confidence and talks CONSTANTLY of all the great activities he gets to take part in. We have a daughter on the way, and wouldn't put her anywhere

My son was in the nursery in the baby room since 9 months old up to preschool now. He settled very well in the school from the baby room all the way to pre-school. The teachers are understanding, caring, and my little one developed and learned a lot while going to Little Pioneers. He enjoys going to
school, playing with friends. He developed great bonds with children and teachers. There is also a good handover during pick-up times and parents are always informed.
