Co-op Childcare Walcot love to get the best from each child as with lots of experienced practitioners, they help every child to grow and learn in the best way for them. They support families too with parent focus groups and stay and play sessions.

Their nursery team are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. They also hold the green flag status in the prestigious Green Flag Eco-schools programme which sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver a big environmental difference.

They use their 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with their children from encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world. They are big on happy children so they have regular visits to local care homes, areas for growing food (and eating it) and take care of each other and the world.

They have a ParentZone app which keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with things like photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

Very disappointed with how the nursery handled my son's additional needs. He is autistic and has an EHCP, but this was only progressed after outside professionals stepped in. He often went all day without eating, and for months the nursery refused to allow food from home until they were challenged
on their policy.
More recently, council-funded 1:1 support was arranged, but the nursery didn't work collaboratively with the agency. When the agency withdrew, we were abruptly told they could no longer care for him - with no transition plan. After years in their care, this left us with no childcare, no respite, and I've to now suddenly stop working as a 'single' parent. I would not recommend this nursery to any family with a child who has additional need!

Few months ago i was stressed as my baby was not settling ,lacked confidence and always needed close support however i am relieved to see the transition and how much she has changed now.Amazing to see her play,eating well and learning so much that we are comforted that she is fine.I can be at ease while
at work thinking she is looked after so well in the nursery by the amazing staff who i see have worked so much on my childs transition.thankful to each and every staff for every little contribution even a hug matters when these tiny tots are distressed..

My Son has enjoyed going twice a week for over a year now and loves to share about his day. He's come a long way in being able to socialise and make friends and this is due in great part to the staff at the nursery.
They're able facilitate the needs of the parents and the children, and the app helps
to keep track of your child's progress. We receive regular updates and special notes of our child's progress and future development plans.
We have another child on the way and look forward to them joining when they're old enough.

My child loves going to this nursery. They are very helpful and very supportive and I see zo much progress with my child, with their great work. All the staff are very welcoming and cheerful. Best place for your child to start his first steps into learning.

Our daughter has being with the nursery for about 2 years now.
She enjoys her time in the nursery. We can see the progress.
I particularly like that the targets are well spelt out for us and we can support her at home as she is being supported in nursery.
The staff are friendly and happy to help.

My son just started to go here, he seems happier on the first day he started even though he's only in just for visit. Noticed place is more organised than his previous nursery, more activities for kids to do, staff are friendly, welcoming and approachable that my help my son to have confident to stay.
Glad I've transferred my son here.
App is a great idea as well to get parents updated on things going on and to communicate.

My little boy has been attending this nursery for a few months now and the staff that work here are very welcoming and very friendly. My little boy really enjoys his time here with everyone and has made a great start to nursery.

The staff and management of the nursery have been exemplary throughout. They have been as flexible and supportive as possible when our daughter (16 months) had to have surgery (at 12 months), ensured that all of her needs were met during recovery and now during the rehabilitation stage.
As a more general
comment, it's obvious that our daughter loves being at nursery, which is in no small part due to the staff. Her eating has really come on and its been very helpful to see what she eats and when each day through the app. Not only is she excited to go because she's enjoying herself, but when she comes home it's obvious that she's learned new skills. Her fine motor skills and communication have come on leaps and bounds and we're generally just very happy with our choice of nursery.

My daughter has just left Co-op Walcot after 4 years and 3 months - starting at 6 months old. We have had the best experience at Walcot. From the baby room all the way to preschool we have felt nothing other than care, dedication but most of all consistency. I think this is a true reflection of the
team that cared for her. Staff retention is very clear and the same faces were still there from the day she started.
She's confident, she's happy and she always talks about the 'teachers' with the most positive outlook. The nursery provided a stable place while we as a family navigated grief but it also provided a place where career wise we were able to work in confidence.
Our days off could be full of fun with her as she was developing and emerging as she should. This has been confirmed more than ever as her first week at school she is top of the class in phonics.

The nursery has been a fantastic experience for us, our son is thriving in all areas and learning so many things. I think it's especially great that even when the staff don't know that there are parents around, I can hear them singing and talking to the children, they don't just put a show on, they're

My little boy has been here since he was 11 months old. It’s a wonderful kind, caring nursery that go above and beyond. There is a huge sense of community and they really know how to encourage development through hobbies and interests of the children. Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate
in regular ‘open’ activities. Communication is great and they really recognise when a child may need a little extra support. I can’t recommend Little Pioneers Walcot enough.

The staff are always so welcoming. My twins love coming to nursery, and it’s nice to know they sometimes get a bit of time apart to develop as individuals rather than as a double act all the time.
They have an older brother who goes to another nursery (he started before we found this one), and he
came with me recently to drop the twins off - he said it looked amazing and wanted to stay there and play too!
I would highly recommend this nursery.

My son has attended this nursery for nearly two years, and I can honestly say the staff here are fantastic and really have become another family to us. Staff are so supportive and will always go out of their way to help with anything they can. My son has thrived in a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment.
The facilities are brilliant, with free-flow rooms with access to large outside spaces, a vegetable patch for the children to explore, and lots of toys and books, and the staff work hard to set up engaging activities every day. Parents are kept in the loop with what the children have been doing throughout the day. Staff get to know children on an individual basis, and all in all, provide them with a fantastic start within their early years. My son will be heading to school next year, and we will be sad to leave the nursery, but they really have set my son up with all the skills and confidence he needs to make the transition to school with ease.

My twins joined this nursery in October 2023. They were just under 6 months old, having been born 10 weeks premature. Choosing the right place for them to learn and grow was very important to us and we toured a number of places. My husband and I both instantly agreed that this was the right place after
our initial visit. Nearly 2 months into their time there and we are thrilled with our decision. The team are so sweet and affectionate with our girls. We love feeling 100% satisfied that our girls will be well cared for and they love their time there.

My daughter has been at the nursery since 10 months old. She is now getting ready to leave and start school. We have been so lucky to have found a nursery my daughter loves going to and we have felt comfortable leaving her. Everyday is different and she never comes out bored. The nursery staff have
gone above and beyond to create development plans and get my daughter ready for starting school. We will miss the nursery, staff and children when we leave, they have been amazing helping us as parents and my daughter with any challenges we have come across during every stage from baby to toddler to pre-school.
