Co-op Childcare Newburn Nursery is a purpose-built nursery that has been designed to a high standard taking the needs of the children into account. There are three main rooms within the nursery split into the following age groups: six weeks to 18 months, 18 months - two-years-old and two to five-year-olds.

They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values to children from encouraging them to be independent to expressing their feelings.

They are big on happy children and they have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and a focus on taking care of each other and the world. They hold the Green Flag Status Award, an internationally recognised award in a programme that sees children lead the world in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

They have a ParentZone app which keeps parents/carers informed about life at nursery from photos of their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

Co-op Childcare Newburn have a sensory room which is a beautiful indoor garden that includes forest music and sensory materials that your child can use as tools for imaginative play.

We have nothing but great things to say about Newburn Nursery, from the first show around from Leigh to my sons settling in days we knew we had picked the right setting for our child to thrive he hasn't looked back since he has come on leaps and bounds since starting in October 24, All the ladies in
the baby room are fantastic they are very warm and patient with the children.

I'm so grateful to all the staff at the nursery, Our little boy started in September and he has had a hard time settling in and being left but thanks to Claire she rearranged his schedule and nursery days to ensure he was well supported and gradually settled him in to his longer days. He now attends
his original days and is managing to stay for the full day and is building good positive relationships with the staff.
Every staff member seems to go out of their way to make us feel welcome and safe. The chef even took time out of what I can only imagine was a very busy day to sit with us in reception on his first day and get to know my little boy, and how she could best support him nutritionally while also putting our anxieties at ease regarding his allergies.
His keyworker has been fantastic, in such a short time knowing him she has took time to know what he loves and what he doesn't and she gets it right everytime, it's great to see their relationship growing.

My daughter has attended Little Pioneers 2 days a week since March 2024 when she was 10/11 months old. Since the first settling in session she has not looked back! Has absolutely loved each room she has been in and always enjoys being at nursery. The staff have been consistently great across the 3 rooms
she's been in which has really made me worry less for her. They clearly all love their jobs and enjoy being around the children, which has made our decision to choose this nursery one of the best things we have done for our daughter. Thank you for all the care and attention, and all for all the crackers!

Both my children have come to this nursery, one has went on to big school and Newburn nursery really helped him with that big transition.
The nursery did a great job getting him ready for big school and helped him when he was unsure. My daughter still remains here and she is also doing so well. The
staff are lovely and it has allowed me to build a great relationship with them, especially her key workers. This has helped my daughter settle into nursery best she can. I am very happy with this nursery as a whole.

My child's keyworker has been great with her, moving up and visits.
A recent allergy has popped up, her keyworker has been fab with this and really supportive.
My daughter is so happy in her new room, she loved being with a particular member of staff in her previous room too.

Our son has been attending this nursery since November 2023 and he asks to go every day. My daughter who is now in school also went to the nursery and also loved it!
We have nothing but good things to say, it's excellent!
The staff really care for the children and always give you full details of their
day verbally. There are also updates provided on the app. We chose the nursery because of the friendly feel, huge outdoor space and great healthy food/meals offered. Staff have been really supportive with toilet training and always seem to give the upmost care to our son, they are amazing and we love that he loves going so much. The manager is really approachable and visible as are the staff generally.

I have a 3 and 2 year old, both of whom have attended this nursery from 8 months. They have both thrived here, and are happy. The key workers are caring, invested and I've only ever had positive experience. I'm kept informed, the observations and assessments are comprehensive and helpful. I would recommend.

My child enjoys nursery and is excited to come in in the morning. The feedback at the end of the day is detailed and it appears there are a lot of stimulation activities for the children throughout the day. My child talks about what she has done and enjoyed about nursery at the end of the day.

Little pioneers is a welcoming and nurturing environment. they've helped my little boy come on leaps and bounds. he is very fond off all the key workers in his room. the girls are so lovely and always keep me informed off his day and help me feel at ease leaving my bundle off joy with them girls.

My daughter has been attending since she was 1 and is really happy there. The staff are all so lovely, caring and supportive. They were really helpful when it took a while for her to settle in at drop offs and when we have little blips with separation anxiety. They treat every child as an individual
and know each of them so well, I can see how happy my little girl is each time I pick her up. She loves all the different activities and the outside space is amazing.

My little girl has been going to this nursery since six months old and she is now 3.5! She went there during the Covid time and beyond. I believe had it not been for this nursery, she would have felt the effects of Covid and been unsociable and not as advanced. However, with the help of this nursery,
she is a funny, sociable, imaginative little girl who has excelled in her learning and academics due to this nursery. She loves her nursery staff (to the point imaginary play at home is being the girls and running a nursery). The updates on her well-being and things to work on at home help with what I should be doing at home. She also goes to school nursery two days a week, and she transitioned into that setting with no tears, no clinginess and lots of confidence, and I believe this is only due to the work and safety she feels at Newburn. The staff are friendly and amazing and know every child's personality, their emotional well-being and always move at their pace.

I’m so pleased with this nursery, I went to visit 5 other nurseries with my son before instantly deciding yes for Little Pioneers. Everyone there is so helpful, understanding and patient when my little boy was struggling with leaving me they came up with a plan for how to make it easier for both of
us. They keep me up to date and he now has a great time when he’s there, I get lots of updates on how he is doing, I couldn’t recommend it enough. He doesn’t love leaving me still but by the time I go to pick him up he’s waving bye and blowing kisses to all the staff, it’s really nice to see and shows me how much they work with him to make him feel comfortable and happy there. This nursery is leaps and bounds ahead of the nursery my daughter went to I wouldn’t send my kids anywhere else now.

The team are fantastic! My son has been attending the nursery since he was 1, so has been through every class. The development, support and reassurance from the whole team are brilliant - even getting food ideas from the member of staff in the kitchen. We’ll be so sad to leave in September when he goes
to school.

I very much love the nursery for my child. The staff are excellent and really care for the children. The activities are well-planned and thought out. The food is varied, and the outdoor space is great. The only flaw we have found is there seems to sometimes be a lack of communication between staff,
be it for business or another reason, and sometimes getting a message across from one person to another is difficult, for example, it took quite a few sessions for the message of not having a nap time to become on board, due to staff communication (however, I do understand they are busy!). I do also wish there were more photos put onto the gallery to view at home. Aside from this and the occasional item of clothing being sent home to the wrong person, we haven't had any big issues. Staff have been more than helpful in his original settling in and are excellent when it comes to making him feel comfortable and happy. I would recommend and have done to anyone.
