Co-op Childcare Southampton

From the moment we enter the nursery we are always greeted with friendly, open arms. The room my daughter is in has experienced staff who are able to comfort and support my daughters wellbeing as well as enable her to grow and develop. The nursery have been brilliant with our other daughter, we had no doubt that we would choose this nursery again this time round.

Our two boys have recently joined the nursery and we are very happy with the level of care and communication from the staff here. The staff is enthusiastic and trustworthy, and our boys love their time here and are always happy to come to nursery. One of our boys needs additional support and the staff has surpassed our expectations, in particular Sophie the SENCO person in the nursery. A very positive experience so far.

A wonderful experience! Our little girl started in September and the staff have been so warm and welcoming. They really get to know all the little individual personalities and clearly love their job. They also do loads of really creative activities with them - our daughter has settled in really well and loves going.

I am really glad I picked this nursery for my child to go to. Since he has started there he is doing and learning so much and has come on such a long way. The staff are all really lovely and he really likes them. The app is brilliant, and shows what he has eaten, when he sleeps and things like that. It is also easy to contact and communicate with the staff. The food looks amazing, he eats better than we do! At the end of the day we also get told what he has been up to which is lovely to hear. Each week we get an update and photos of what he has been doing and each month we get a more detailed update and suggestions on how to help at home which is really useful. I would highly recommend this nursery!

My Daughter has had wonderful time at the nursery , she started having settling in sessions at 7.5 months and now she is 3and a half . She really enjoys all the activities set out daily. She loves singing with her friends. She really enjoys the enclosed play space outside which is a safe space . She really enjoys the food and everything is documented during the day. The staff always inform me of anything that they feel needs addressing regarding her. We also have highlighted concerns in a SEN capacity for my daughter and they have taken my concerns on board fully and have regular catch ups about it . Overall it's a fantastic nursery and the staff are friendly and approachable . They always go above and beyond for my daughter and it will be a sad time when she had to leave next year .

My little boy started October 2025 and by far has had the best experience with nursery. He struggled to settle but the team have by far made this now an easy goodbye and he no longer cries goodbye, instead he waves goodbye. The team are fantastic and always goes above and beyond.

The staff are friendly and caring. Both my children have attended here and made wonderful bonds with their key workers and other members of the team. The children are encouraged to learn through play and the staff arrange many one off special activities for the children to do that prepare them not just for education but life skills in general. They have great links with the local community. The opening hours are great for working parents.

All the staff is amazing. Really supportive and happy to help with anything we need. The facilities had a lot of new wooden toys which is amazing for the kids to play. My kid feels safe and considers them as friends. Would recommend to my friends and family.

The team at the nursery are very warm and welcome. The communication is excellent . My son took some time settling in and the staff were very kind and patient. I love the fact that there is a garden and the staff try and get the children out most days . There is also a great selection of food .

From day one my son loves going to nursery, play with others kids and always happy when is meals time. The nursery has great facilities all the care workers are amazing and they are very patient with him as he has down syndrome.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. My son has been going here since he was almost a year old and is now four, going to school this September. He's grown in confidence over the last few years. He's also developed his skills and personality. The team know my son well and have taken the time to get to know us as a family for a true holistic approach to his needs. As a single mum working full time it's such a blessing knowing he's in an environment where is is comfortable, cared for, happy and thriving. Everything is perfect from the meals provided to the facilities. But the main asset to this nursery is the people working there. The practitioners who have worked with him over the last few years along with the management team are all exemplary. I never worry about him being here, which is a huge thing for me as I am a natural worrier!! I feel like he's had the best possible start in life from attending this nursery. I will be so sad when he leaves to go to school.

I've had 3 children attend the nursery after we had to move to the area after a challenging life event . My last child is still attending the nursery . The staff at the nursery are the best I've ever seen it feels as though they really care about the families of the children they have their . Often offering an extra arm of non judgemental support . The management in the nursery are above expectations they are supportive caring and considerate and always friendly . My children thrive there and the staff check in and make a real effort to know the children . I have always felt I can be open with the staff when I've had anything challenging come up and they make time to perk you up and remind you of positives I'll be sad when my daughter leaves but I know they have given her the best start and the children have had a wonderful , caring experience . I can't fault them and the key staff are always smiling

I have two children at the nursery. They are very different but the staff know them so well as individuals so get the best out of them. My older child has needed a lot of support with confidence and change but all the staff directly involved with her have been so patient and so caring. Always reassuring me too. Whilst my younger one has the loveliest bond with her key worker already and just shines happiness to be going there. They update each day on the app with food/nappies/sleep then a weekly round up of the activities. Whilst producing a personalised development plan each month. I couldn't recommend them more.

My son started in November 2025 and settled in straight away! He loves coming here and seems to really enjoy the food. It's so nice in the mornings to have a drop off where he is happy to go to the workers. His key worker is lovely and all of the staff in his room seem to love working with the children. The baby room has loads of toys and equipment and they frequently get to play in the garden. I would 100% recommend this nursery. The manager is also really friendly, I was worried about putting my son in nursery as I used childminders for my oldest daughter but would definitely say this is a good nursery and my son is happy here.

I just want to say a huge thank you to Dona and Olivia for being absolutely amazing since my son started nursery in September. They've made him feel so welcome and settled so quickly, which means the world to me. They're always so kind, caring and patient, and I really appreciate how they always take the time to reply to my messages and let me know how he's doing throughout the day. It's such a relief knowing he's in such loving hands - you can really tell how much they care about the children. Thank you both for everything you do!

Highly recommended!Staff are excellent and provide high quality care. When we started putting our son in Child Co-op at first we find it hard to leave him there. But the security and assurance of our child development now shows in the long run. He enjoys and learn alot from his teachers and was taken cared. Always happy to bring home the arts and paper writing he accomplishes everyday. Thank you so much for every hard work teachers, admin and all staff had put in together to continue caring for our little precious children. We are very grateful indeed. GOD bless everyone.

This nursery has been a godsend as it allowed me to return and continue to work happily as I knew my children were being looked after well. They go above and beyond to introduce new things to the children and keep them engaged. The practitioners are kind and care about the children and the you can tell that management is focused on continual improvement. Thank you Co-operative Southampton!
