This early year has been a wonderful experience for my daughter at nursery. The variety of activities in her Early Years class has truly made a difference in her enthusiasm for learning.She especially loved participating in themed days like Pijams Day and World Book Day, which not only made learning

Fantastic attentive staff. Manager is approachable at all times. My child has grown so much. Staff go above and beyond. My child lices going to nursery and never have any issues with her bot wanting to go. Could do with more outdoor space but they use what they have effectively. Any issues we have had

Both of my children started the nursery at different stages-my son just before he turned three and my daughter when she was nine months old-and they have both had a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly welcoming and have built lovely relationships with my children. My son made so much progress
during his time at the nursery, and it really helped prepare him for starting Reception. My daughter also thoroughly enjoys her time there and loves the activities she takes part in. She often talks about the staff by name, which shows the strong and caring relationships she has built with them. Since attending, she has grown so much in confidence and independence, and it has been lovely to see her thrive.

Hemsley House is an absolutely wonderful nursery. The team are incredibly nurturing, caring, and attentive, creating such a warm and supportive environment for the children.
As a parent of a child with additional needs, the support we have received has been outstanding. The staff go above and beyond
to ensure every child feels included, supported, and valued.
A special mention to the SENCO, Sophie, who has been amazing. She is always approachable, takes the time to listen, and is incredibly helpful when discussing any concerns or supporting with forms and guidance. Her dedication and care truly make a difference.

I found this little nursery when I moved to the area with my son and it was THE best choice. Not only has my son thrived whilst he's been under the care of the Hemsley Team, they have provided me with unwavering support. They work WITH me and not against me (something I found with his previous nurseries).
They listen and respond and ALWAYS have my son's best interests at heart. Hemsley is the best choice and I'm so glad I chose them.

Our little boy has been going for nearly 6 months. He is happy going in and settled in very quickly, he is happy when we pick him up. The meals are varied and healthy, the staff are all friendly and professional. Very happy with everything the nursery offers. It is a lovely nursery setting.

Ashby Day Nursery have been wonderful for our child. Her development continues to be great and she comes home singing songs she's learned and telling us about her friends. The atmosphere is so calm and the kids are all encouraged to be kind to each other. The menu is varied, so we feel like she gets
to try lots of foods. Gave 4 not 5 stars because I would rather still get meals listed in the app, which they stop at toddler 2. But that's not a huge deal, they still tell you what they ate during the handover.

My daughter is 10 months old and I was so nervous about going back to work and her being in a nursury. But they have been amazing with her, they send photos, and regularly update the app. If you have any issues they quickly resolve them. They are a great team and my daughter loves nursury. She goes
in smiling and comes out laughing.

My son has attended this nursery since he was 6 months old. And is moving up to the toddler rooms soon. The staff in baby room 1&2 are great and he is very happy there. Lots of different activities for them to do. App is kept up to date and handovers at the end of the day tell me everything I need
to know. Also until 6pm is included in their standard day price so this makes pick ups easier when things don't go to plan and alot of nurseries charge extra for this last 30 mins.

We've had our son from toddler through 3 stages at the Ark and everyone has been absolutely amazing with him. He comes home happy, he talks about what her has done and the people he has done it with, especially his key worker for each room he has been to.


It seems obvious to me that all the children

are happy and they are genuine friends, so whatever dramas arise through the day must be quickly and fairly mediated.


I would recommend the Ark to anyone. They have great staff, the communication is excellent and there is always something new laid out for the kids to do in the morning.

My little boy has been attending the nursery since September and I could not be happier with how they look after him. He absolutely loves his three days there and is always so happy when we drop him off and pick him up. His key worker Laura is so lovely and kind and all the other staff are warm, caring
and friendly. They keep you updated well throughout the day with pictures and information on the app and I know I can always call if I want to check in. Any questions or queries are dealt with promptly and everyone is approachable. He does lots of fun activities throughout the day and there is plenty of opportunity for development and learning through play and more structured activities. He loves the food and eats better there than he does at home! I'm so glad I chose to send him there and if you want a place where you feel comfortable leaving your pride and joy knowing they will take good care of them - this is the place.

My daughter attend this nursery since October 2025. From beginning of her journey she was welcomed by her new nursery members with love, kindness and care. Although I went through lots of difficult times, Claire the manger was very kind, supportive and understanding with my needs , and she was able

My son has been attending this setting for nearly 2 years now.


Pros:
-Communicating and involving parents (stay and plays, sending a photo everyday, printing photos I send, updating menus etc)
-All staff are friendly and know my son by name (including cooks and admin)
-Acting upon concerns (my son

was not being settled during drop off but this changed)
- Outdoor access when downstairs
- Activities covering EYFS downstairs.


Cons:
-Toilet facilities (too big for my son, dont flush, and soap is often not available)
-There are often people in the room who must be staff but I dont know who they are and they do not wear the uniform.
- I dont know what his goal are.
- They dont have the menu on the app anymore.


No setting is perfect but the most important thing is that they listen and act upon the concerns and wants of the parents tailoring the care and education to meet the individual needs of each child which is what they strive to do.

There's nowhere else I'd send my children, I absolutely love this nursery. My son has been there since he was 1, I can't wait for my daughter to start too.
The layout is beautiful, it's a lovely calming layout, it's not too busy or cluttered, & all ages/stages/rooms have their own garden area. The
kids do so many different activities within their day as well as their own play time, always making stuff, baking, & learning along side it.
Another thing that made it hard to say no to is their menu, the kids eat so nutritiously, it's all fresh, and they get things I would never normally cook at home.
The staff are amazing, each key worker for my son has been perfect, management & reception are so lovely, they're never too busy to help.
I'll always be so very grateful I found Children 1st
