We've had such a positive experience with this nursery, and I honestly can't thank them enough for the support they've given both me and my son.
From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly welcoming, kind, and approachable. It's always felt like a safe and happy place for my son, which
made a huge difference to me as a parent. Communication has been excellent throughout it's always been easy to get in touch, and any concerns I've had have been listened to and acted on straight away, which really shows how much they care.
The progress my son has made since attending has been amazing. His learning and understanding have come on so much, and I truly feel that he is now confident and fully ready to start school. The support and encouragement from the team have played a huge part in that.

My son attends Children's 1st in Birstall, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the experience we've had. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and attentive, which made settling in so much easier for both of us.
A special mention has to go to Esha and Sara,
who have been absolutely wonderful with my son. They are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in his development. It's clear they take the time to get to know each child individually, and that really shows in how comfortable and happy he is there.
I also really appreciate how consistently they keep me updated through the app. It's reassuring to see what he's been up to during the day, from activities to meals and general progress. That level of communication makes a huge difference as a parent.
The nursery itself is lovely-clean, well-organised, and full of engaging resources for the children. The facilities are excellent and clearly designed to support learning through play in a safe

Could not give the ladies in the baby room (Esha, Sara, Jordan) more praise.
They've really helped my little one settle in and helped us feel at ease with the updates. Lots to do and lots to play.
They're always happy and friendly whenever we see them and feel happy knowing our daughter is safe!
Thank you for helping us all with this big change you all are stars!

My son has attended Chidrens First at Syston since he was 1 and now the time is nearing where he will soon be leaving to start school. The support, knowledge and compassion of the team is amazing and my little boy is growing and developing with a confident, bubbly personality. I know this is all down
to the fantastic staff that work in each of the rooms he has been part of helping him thrive and my husband and I are grateful to them for everything they do for him each day he is there.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at this nursery. Both of our girls have attended, and it's been such a joy to see how much they've flourished during their time there. From the very beginning, the staff created a warm, nurturing, and welcoming environment that made both children feel safe,
happy, and excited to learn.
The care and attention given to each child is outstanding. The team takes the time to understand their individual personalities and needs, helping them build confidence, independence, and strong social skills. We've seen such wonderful progress in both of our girls.
The activities are always engaging, creative, and thoughtfully planned, striking the perfect balance between learning and play. It's clear that the staff genuinely care about the children and are passionate about what they do.
We're grateful for the positive start this nursery has given our girls. It's been a fantastic foundation for their development, and we would recommend this to other families.

I would highly recommend this nursery to any future parents. My little girl has been attending since she was 10 months old and goes through stages of feeling unsettled but the teachers have been very supportive and have gotten her through those times.
The communication is very open and we have access
to everything we need on the app.
My favourite thing is the amount of time the children are able to play outside, it's fantastic.

The staff are lovely, the facilities are great, my little one has a brilliant time here. The staff really do want what's best for your child & it shows in how much the children come out of their shell. Majority of the time the food sounds good however there are some occasions it's maybe for an older
taste not 3 year olds. Other than that I have nothing bad to say.

Huge shout out to the room staff at this nursery who are all extremely dedicated, no question or ask is ever too high. Our children thrive here and create meaningful connections with many of the staff, different personalities of staff members and children together are celebrated.
Since becoming part
of the storal group the focus on variety and nutrition in the menu rotation has been fantastic.
Front of house staff are approachable and more than willing to address and resolve any question which retains the 'family led' feel here despite it now being part of a larger nursery group.

The nursery simply could not do more for my daughter. She has additional needs and they have not had a child with her condition before. They have gone above and beyond to educate themselves. The care and attention that she receives is nothing short of incredible and I cannot recommend this setting highly

We have put two children through children's 1st Shepshed.
We couldn't be happier with the care and nurture both children have received, setting them up wonderfully for school.
The staff go over and above, I've always felt they really know my children which really means a lot.
I know we will all be
sad to say goodbye to children's 1st in July but I'm so happy we chose to put our children there.
We chose there in lockdown without even being able to look around but even from the photos I knew it was a special place. Thé facilities, especially the garden are fantastic. The forest school aspect is amazing and the creativity with the lessons is really something to boast about.A shout out to Gerald, who we love, Mr Brad who we miss, Miss Phoenix who will always be my sons favourite and Miss Nick for always greeting us with a smile x

We have had a brilliant experience with my little boy at Children 1st @Hathern. He has been going here for nearly 2 years now and he loves it. He's always talking about the staff and his friends when at home. The staff are friendly, kind and supportive and have gotten to know my son and his very particular
likes, dislikes and interests so that they can support his development as effectively as possible. There has been a change of menu which at first I was not 100% sure about it as some of the dishes aren't the most typically 'child friendly' and to begin with he wasn't keen but he eats everything now and is more willing to try things at home that before he wouldnt't. It's great knowing he's had healthy and nutritious food at nursery. Parents are updated via an app throughout the day. I also can't fault the management team, any small issues have been rectified sensitively and professionally. Overall, I'd recommend to anyone and have recommended to friends. I can't thank nursery enough.

Our child loves going to the nursery at Hathern. The staff are very helpful, keep us informed of any changes and really personalise the experience for the children. The menu is varied and includes items that we wouldn't think to try. The daily updates are great and are above and beyond what other nurseries
provide. We are so pleased that we went ahead with this nursery.

My child goes to nursery full time and I feel so content and comfortable that he is in the best place. Any queries or concerns always get addressed and resolved, and Kadie the manager is phenomenal
and always reassures me when I have any worries. A brilliant nursery. My son is 3 and has been going here since he was 9 months old and I do not regret choosing Children 1st Hathern one bit

I'm so happy we chose this nursery for our son. The staff are wonderful, our son loves going in to nursery, and we feel so comfortable talking to his keyworkers about anything we need to. His development has come on leaps and bounds, and the updates we get are great. The outside garden areas were a
big factor in choosing the nursery as our son loves being outdoors, and the nursery are so good with the big space they have outside and plenty of outdoor play and learning.

Both of my children started the nursery at different stages-my son just before he turned three and my daughter when she was nine months old-and they have both had a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly welcoming and have built lovely relationships with my children. My son made so much progress
during his time at the nursery, and it really helped prepare him for starting Reception. My daughter also thoroughly enjoys her time there and loves the activities she takes part in. She often talks about the staff by name, which shows the strong and caring relationships she has built with them. Since attending, she has grown so much in confidence and independence, and it has been lovely to see her thrive.
Reply from Kerry Nettel, Manager at Ashby Nursery School & Preschool AcademyThank you for this lovely review, we pride ourselves in our robust school readiness activities to ensure transitions are nice and smooth. It's great that your daughter is growing in confidence and it's lovely to see this every session she attends with us.
