Day Nurseries Owned by Storal in Leicestershire

I previously gave this nursery a 5 star review before Storal took over, however since then the quality and standards have massively dropped. The key workers within each room continue to do a great job as best they can, however management and the Storal group do not care about complaints raised by parents. You will be given generic responses and they hide behind terms and conditions which themselves contradict each other.

My child has been at the nursery since 6 months old and is due to start school this year, and we have seen first hand the dramatic decline: a lack of observations, feedback not being taken on board, a lack of information for parents, high staff turnover, and constant changes in management, all of which started once Storal got involved.

If you are looking at a nursery for your child, you would be best to find somewhere else, at least whilst Storal continue to run it.

My boy has attended this setting since September 2023. The staff throughout the nursery have been great with my boy; it is reassuring when he looks forward to going. The staff offer great oversight of his daily goings-ons. The app and the wider 'family' community is great for development updates, and to track his progression for numbers, music, hand skills, interaction, speech etc. The nursery always enjoys getting parents involved and the setup that they have estabilshed is first class. Many thanks to all the team.

Since the settling in session, Esha has been very supportive in ensuring that we felt at ease and would communicate with us throughout the day. That made us feel very reassured and supported.

Miss Jordan, Esha and miss Sara in the baby room are outstanding. We Cannot thank them enough for the warmth, care and support they have given to our daughter. From the first time we met them we felt so reassured they would provide a good level of care, but they have all done so much more! we are so grateful to them all and cannot thank them enough . Our daughter has thrived under their care and we were genuinely sad to see her leave the room. Thank you again!

The progress my son has made since attending has been amazing. His learning and understanding have come on so much, and I truly feel that he is now confident and fully ready to start school. The support and encouragement from the team have played a huge part in that.

The nursery itself is lovely-clean, well-organised, and full of engaging resources for the children. The facilities are excellent and clearly designed to support learning through play in a safe

My son has attended Chidrens First at Syston since he was 1 and now the time is nearing where he will soon be leaving to start school. The support, knowledge and compassion of the team is amazing and my little boy is growing and developing with a confident, bubbly personality. I know this is all down to the fantastic staff that work in each of the rooms he has been part of helping him thrive and my husband and I are grateful to them for everything they do for him each day he is there.

We're grateful for the positive start this nursery has given our girls. It's been a fantastic foundation for their development, and we would recommend this to other families.

Really well run, friendly nursery with well trained staff and a kitchen that provides a great variety of healthy meals & snacks. Both our boys have attended and really enjoyed their time there, made good friends and were well prepared for school.

My favourite thing is the amount of time the children are able to play outside, it's fantastic.

The staff are lovely, the facilities are great, my little one has a brilliant time here. The staff really do want what's best for your child & it shows in how much the children come out of their shell. Majority of the time the food sounds good however there are some occasions it's maybe for an older taste not 3 year olds. Other than that I have nothing bad to say.

Front of house staff are approachable and more than willing to address and resolve any question which retains the 'family led' feel here despite it now being part of a larger nursery group.

Nothing ever too much to ask , have had lots of questions as a first time mum with a first time nursery etc and Hathern first was very helpful from day 1 and sorted everything out for me.

My daughter loves it there and feels relaxed and happy with all staff

The nursery simply could not do more for my daughter. She has additional needs and they have not had a child with her condition before. They have gone above and beyond to educate themselves. The care and attention that she receives is nothing short of incredible and I cannot recommend this setting highly enough.

We chose there in lockdown without even being able to look around but even from the photos I knew it was a special place. Thé facilities, especially the garden are fantastic. The forest school aspect is amazing and the creativity with the lessons is really something to boast about.A shout out to Gerald, who we love, Mr Brad who we miss, Miss Phoenix who will always be my sons favourite and Miss Nick for always greeting us with a smile x

We're so happy with this nursery. The staff truly go above and beyond and show so much care and attention to the children. Harrison loves going and is always so happy when he arrives, which says it all. The team are friendly, supportive, and keep us updated on his day. We're really grateful for everything they do and would highly recommend this nurser

Can't fault the nursery at all! They simply are the best. My child loves it there and is thriving. The communication is great and I feel I can speak to them about anything. 100% would recommend to anyone

We have had a brilliant experience with my little boy at Children 1st @Hathern. He has been going here for nearly 2 years now and he loves it. He's always talking about the staff and his friends when at home.The staff are friendly, kind and supportive and have gotten to know my son and his very particular likes, dislikes and interests so that they can support his development as effectively as possible. There has been a change of menu which at first I was not 100% sure about it as some of the dishes aren't the most typically 'child friendly' and to begin with he wasn't keen but he eats everything now and is more willing to try things at home that before he wouldnt't. It's great knowing he's had healthy and nutritious food at nursery. Parents are updated via an app throughout the day. I also can't fault the management team, any small issues have been rectified sensitively and professionally. Overall, I'd recommend to anyone and have recommended to friends. I can't thank nursery enough.

Our child loves going to the nursery at Hathern. The staff are very helpful, keep us informed of any changes and really personalise the experience for the children. The menu is varied and includes items that we wouldn't think to try. The daily updates are great and are above and beyond what other nurseries provide. We are so pleased that we went ahead with this nursery.
