My son started at the Learning Hive in September 2025 and we are so happy we chose this nursery. He is very happy here and his development has come on leaps and bounds. All staff are friendly and welcoming. There are fun and engaging activities that change regularly. There's a great selection of toys
and books to engage the children and the rooms are well looked after. The menu changes regularly and is varied and appetising.

Staff are really warm and welcoming to both parents and children. My child is happy going to nursery and I feel that my child is safe and well looked after when in the care of the nursery. I get regular updates for my child which are lovely to see.

My daughter has just finished after having 3 wonderful years here. All staff have always been extremely supportive & approachable. I have had no issues with communication, any issues/accidents have always been reported straight away. My daughter has always been happy to go to pre school & that has made

The teachers established a good relationship with my son, and he enjoys going to nursery very much. Moreover, his English improves after going to nursery. Teachers often send us photos so we can see his learning at school. The only suggestion is that a more detailed report to provided regularly to show
his learning journey at nursery.

The Nursery is the best nursery any of my 3 children have attended, here is why.
Firstly the staff are all very positive and welcoming, they greet you with a smile and all the staff make an effort to build a positive professional relationship with us as parents. I receive updates on any good things

my child is doing and any concerns from health to behaviour.
The nursery has an app that posts photos daily and gives a brief overview of what activities my son has been doing and what skills the activity is developing. The app also provides quarterly reports on my child's development.
The nursery provides nappies, milk and a healthy menu on a variety of foods and I noticed my son who attends the nursery has a much better palate for food than his older siblings which I think is thanks to this.
The nursery is clean with good facilities for the children to play with. Children are not placed in front of a tv they are engaged in activities.

My son has been attending this nursery since September 2024, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From day one, he's absolutely loved it - he runs in every morning with a huge smile on his face, waving at everyone and rushing over to give the staff a cuddle. It's such a comfort to see how
genuinely happy and secure he feels there.
The activities are a perfect blend of fun and learning, and he especially loves all the time spent outdoors. It's clear that a lot of thought goes into creating engaging, educational experiences for the children. Mealtimes are another highlight- a variety of healthy options.
One of the biggest improvements we've noticed recently is in communication between parents and staff. The team really listens to feedback and takes action where they can, which we truly appreciate. The app is also a brilliant tool for staying informed about his day - from meals and naps to photos and activity updates.

My son has been attending the nursery for almost a year and we are very pleased .

We are really pleased with almost every aspect of the nursery. The staff are lovely, very attentive and caring. They talk to us on a personal level about our child, you can tell they pay a lot of attention to the children and take a genuine interest in how to help the individual children progress and
grow in their own unique way. I feel very confident that my child will be well looked after and safe when I leave them with the staff. I love the variety of activities provided to the children as well, always seems to be up to something different each day which is perfect for growing minds with short attention spans.
My only small concern is I often pick my child up and they has a very full nappy- only wee- but can tell it's been a while since their last change but I put this down to low staff around home time

This is a brilliant nursery I couldn't be happier with the care my daughter is receiving. It is like a home away from home. We've had a great experience here so far, our little one really loves it! The art and child led pedagogy is incredible and the staff are really experienced and lovely with the kids. Our little one adores his key worker and we receive photos and videos of him having a great time there! They have a brilliant
garden which is important to us too. Plus a vegetarian menu and celebrations of different cultural events throughout the year (the older children did a Lunar new year procession throughout the classes!) - we highly recommend this nursery!

We absolutely love this nursery! The creative and playful environment is fantastic, and we really appreciate the strong focus on play-based learning. The staff are incredibly grounded and child-focused, taking the time to get to know each child individually. Even staff from other rooms always greet
my child by name, which makes her feel so settled and special.
As a parent of a child with additional needs, I'm so grateful for the nursery's thoughtful approach. They've worked with us to create an individualised learning plan and have provided evidence to help us get on the waitlist for assessments. They also make transitions between rooms so much easier for the children, with a very gradual and supportive approach.
And the food is wonderful! My child eats so much more here than at home, which is a huge bonus. We couldn't be happier with the care and support our child receives.

My children have always been so happy to go into nursery at Alexandra Park Children's Learning Community. The team looking after the kids is absolutely wonderful, always warm, caring, attentive and so creative - the children love them so much. It's a wonderful space where each child is able to explore
their interests while learning social skills and having the best time. We were all sad to leave when my eldest started school and I'm so glad a place like this exists! For us, a bilingual nursery which also offered a child-led approach was just perfect, and there's so much outdoor space, too - they grow up spending lots of time outside and exploring their environment. I couldn't recommend it enough!
The only downside is that admin could be better, but it has improved and they have put systems in place in the past couple of years, which have made things more streamlined. In my experience, this tends to be the same across all nurseries though!

My child has been at the nursery for a few months and seems to be enjoying it. The facilities are fantastic (carpets could be hoovered at least every day) and the staff are wonderful, it's nice to be greeted with a friendly smile every morning and reassured that your child is in a warm environment.
The meals are fantastic and the personal care given to the kids is brilliant.
The only area of improvement would be communication from the nursery to parents. I think the app is fantastic but only tells us about their personal care. It would be great if there was a quick summary of how their day was, what they got up to, and whether they were happy or frustrated that day as there isn't much to get this information from staff at pick up. Sometimes I don't know if they did any activities i.e. arts and crafts as we don't see them bring any art home or anything of the sort. Also, more pictures on the app would be fantastic as we don't get these often.

We have had nothing but positive experiences since our child started. The staff are kind, caring, and courteous. They are clearly passionate about what they do.

OCB has been like a home from home for both our children over the last 4 years. The setting is beautifully equipped to meet the developing needs of the children and feels very homely. The staff are amazing and welcoming and go above and beyond to make the children feel settled and content. The communication
is great and they are always looking at ways to improve things through things like parents' forum and additional family days etc. I would highly recommend OCB to anyone looking for a safe, welcoming space to leave their children.

Fantastic staff and environment. My son loves every day at nursery, he is always doing something exciting and fun. The staff are warm welcoming and more like friends/family. He is excited to arrive every day and does not want to leave, it allows us to work without any guilt, he is happy well cared for
and has developed so much. All the staff are involved, know who we are and what has been happening at home, the stay and play sessions are excellent. I couldn't recommend them any more.

My daughter is my second child to come to Old Croft Bank nursery and I would 100% recommend sending your child here. The staff are amazing and so is the chef. The meals they prepare are of huge variety and most days, I am envious of the choice they have. The play areas are great inside and out. One
of the great things is that the garden is big and not overlooked. My daughter came after covid at 18 months so she knows the majority of the staff, she misses nursery when she isn't there and even named her doll after one of the carers. I picked Old Croft Bank nursery years ago because of it's home from home feel. If you have the time just book to look around and you won't regret it. The app they use is great too, daily pictures and updates to what they are upto is a great tool.

My child has been attending Old Crofts Bank for the past year and we are really pleased with it. He has settled in really well, all of the staff are lovely and everyone is always very friendly. We viewed a lot of other nurseries in the area and chose OCB due to the staff, the outdoor provision and the
number of rooms provided for different age groups. He always has a great time at nursery and often doesn't want to come home as he's too busy having fun!
