We are extremely grateful for the outstanding care and support our child has received. The team has been incredibly patient, understanding, and attentive, especially in helping her with potty training alongside her neurodivergent needs. They have taken a truly personalised approach, adapting strategies to suit her pace and ensuring she feels comfortable, safe, and encouraged at every step. The consistency they've helped establish between nursery and home has made a huge difference in her progress.

What stands out most is their genuine compassion and commitment. The staff go above and beyond to create an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child is supported to thrive. Their communication with us as parents has also been excellent - always keeping us informed and involved. We've seen a significant boost in her confidence and independence, and that is largely thanks to the dedication of the team. We couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Pre school team of Alison and Blossom has helped my son settle in very well after he moved from a different nursery. Sophie made this transition really easy for us as a family, always available to answer any questions that we had.

Both my children attend Hemsley House and massively enjoy their time there. The staff are great and friendly, with efficient handover information given when collecting. The activities my kids are involved in are great and the variety of food received is healthy and balanced.

Hemsley House is an absolutely wonderful nursery. The team are incredibly nurturing, caring, and attentive, creating such a warm and supportive environment for the children.
As a parent of a child with additional needs, the support we have received has been outstanding. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every child feels included, supported, and valued.
A special mention to the SENCO, Sophie, who has been amazing. She is always approachable, takes the time to listen, and is incredibly helpful when discussing any concerns or supporting with forms and guidance. Her dedication and care truly make a difference.

I couldn't recommend Hemsley House highly enough - it's a fantastic nursery with a team that genuinely cares about every child and family.

I found this little nursery when I moved to the area with my son and it was THE best choice. Not only has my son thrived whilst he's been under the care of the Hemsley Team, they have provided me with unwavering support. They work WITH me and not against me (something I found with his previous nurseries). They listen and respond and ALWAYS have my son's best interests at heart. Hemsley is the best choice and I'm so glad I chose them.

My daughter attend this nursery since October 2025. From beginning of her journey she was welcomed by her new nursery members with love, kindness and care. Although I went through lots of difficult times, Claire the manger was very kind, supportive and understanding with my needs , and she was able to help with all the invoices, funding options and even writing a letter to support my daughter's benefit entitlement. I am truly grateful for all their support.

My little boy started here after moving from a different area back in April. When we came to view, they were really friendly and welcoming. Transition went really well, and it was like he had always been there. My boy loves it there and is thriving! He adores the staff. They accommodate his dietary needs. Including during baking sessions.

Excellent nursery, great staff
I moved my little boy to this nursery from another nursery and wish I had done it sooner!
He has only been here for a month and has already settled so well.
All of the staff are so lovely and friendly, the garden space is great and the rooms feel so warming and homely.
The activities are fun and stimulating, the staff are always thinking of new, creative ideas and activities for the children.
I want to say a big thank you to all of the staff for making my little boy feel so safe and settled in daffodils in such a short time. Ellie, Gabby and Emma have been amazing in making this transition so smooth for both my son and I.
I am extremely happy with all of the comfort, support and encouragement that has been shown.

I would highly recommend this nursery!

My daughter has been attending Windmill since start of 2025. 9 months in what an incredible journey it has been for her. She has reached so many milestones that seemed unlikely to happen. The positivity the staff have is amazing. In guidance and support for my daughter and working with us the parents. I wished I had found Windmill Nursery sooner. All staff are welcoming and caring even for older siblings. We love the events the nursery provides giving that family home from home setting. Biggest praise to Ellie and Gabby in daffodils room!

Who have supported our daughter in her recent transition to pre school room. She has fully found her sparkle. An is shining bright - we have the best exciting journey ahead. Watching our daughters development increase - we wouldn't be here without Windmill Nursery encouragement and support.

As a parent who has had one child progress from the baby room through to graduating on to school, and another who started in the baby room and is now moving into pre-pre school, I can honestly say this nursery has been wonderful throughout. It's incredible to see the positive changes and dedication the staff have shown over the years. I am truly grateful for all they do and for the amazing growth I have seen in my children's development.

It is so disappointing that this nursery has started to go down hill. Internal changes take place that the parents are not informed of. Information that I have requested I still haven't received a response. We now get charged for meals and essential (nappies, wipes, creams) but we don't get a copy of the menu or what the daily charge is. If my under 2 year old has to say she is hungry to get a snack that I am paying for. She has leaked more in the last 3 months than ever before, I'm not sure how this happens. Her coat has been left out in the rain so nothing to wear on the way home. Not being given milk in her bottle but someone else bottle. Has to ask for a bib to be worn at meal time as her clothes get stained. Not much educational tasks takes place such a reading and writing. Just no sense of care, trust or passion for the children.

Had some issues with this nursery after discovering breast milk had been discarded without any prior communication from staff. We had not been made aware of their policy around breast milk when we signed up and so had been sending daughter into nursery with the milk in a bottle, which was emptied out.Communication with management was poor and was unable to organise a meeting to discuss this before we decided to look for somewhere else. When we handed notice of cancellation we were initially invoiced 8 weeks worth of fees to cover the notice period but after checking website T&Cs I found the notice period was 6 weeks. When I queried this, I was told it was an "oversight". All in all ended up costing us over £800 for 2 settle sessions and a couple days of care. Expensive mistake but glad we changed as daughter seems much happier and settled at new nursery.

My son joined Ickle Pickles in January this year after having been at a childminder's for a year and a half before hand. We moved him because we felt he was ready for more structure, routine and learning in a safe and secure environment. The staff in the toddler room and the management team are always so friendly and reassuring about my son's day. They always give good feedback on his eating, his sleeping and what activities he has participated in. My son struggles to settle initially at drop off but the team are quick to tell me how happy he is to go and play when they have helped to calm him down. Ickle Pickles is a lovely home from home nursery and we are so pleased that my son attends there as we know he will continue to grow, learn and make progress before he starts school.
