My daughter has always struggled going into nursery but she really enjoys it. Her confidence has grown through the years and the team know her well. She always talks about how much she loves the staff and her friends. I feel comfortable leaving her with the team and know I can contact them and they
will contact me if needed. My daughter will be really sad when she leaves nursery for school.

My child has thrived at this nursery, where her social, emotional, and physical needs are consistently supported. She has formed strong bonds with both staff and other children and is always happy and excited to attend. We particularly value the wide range of extracurricular activities, especially the
weekly ballet sessions. Her communication and language skills have flourished through the focus on stories and songs-at just two years old, she confidently tells me all about her day. As a full-time working parent, it was essential to find a setting that reflects our own morals and expectations, and the strong relationships we've built with staff provide real reassurance. The inclusive, regularly reviewed menu supports her dietary needs and introduces her to new foods. The all-weather outdoor provision is another fantastic feature.

I highly recommend our nursery, my girls started at 9 months and settled in quickly. As a parent I was reassured by the calm and caring nature of the staff. The environment is so inviting and exciting and I'm always amazed by the standard of the food that they have at lunch time. The girls come back
telling me about the books they've read and the exciting activities they've done. I'm so pleased we chose Children's first at Plumtree and look forward to watching the girls continue to flourish in their care.

We couldn't rate Childrens 1st Plumtree enough, every member of staff is so lovely, professional and fantastic with our Daughter and it shows they know the children based on how they interact and handover at the beginning and end of the day. They are also super supportive of the parents when it can
seem scary first leaving your child there, they have all been so fantastic. They do lots of fun, interactive and different things with the kids and our Daughter always has lots to tell us about her time there, along with telling us about her friends too! We couldn't recommend them enough.

I cannot recommend the children 1st Plumtree branch enough!
My daughter, Sienna, absolutely loves nursery and has settled in amazingly well since starting. From the very beginning, the team made her feel so welcome, safe and happy, which made the transition so much easier for us as parents.
She has
built such a special bond with her keyworker, Ellie, who truly goes above and beyond every single day. It's so reassuring to see how comfortable and happy Sienna is with her. She also adores all the staff in her room - they are all incredible with her and genuinely care about each child.
Since starting at Plumtree, Sienna has come along so much. Her confidence has grown beautifully, and she walks in every morning with the biggest smile on her face. Seeing her so excited to go in each day says everything about the nurturing and positive environment the team have created.
Thank you to everyone at Plumtree for everything you do - you are all amazing!

My daughter loves her nursery days, she has been doing since she was 1 and settled in really well and has enjoyed it since. Every session she goes to is different and she always comes home full of excitement about what activities she has done. They've also been a great support through potty training.
I would recommend the Plumtree nursery to anybody looking for a fab and friendly environment for their child.

All the staff are wonderful with my son, he doesn't even look back when he goes in! You can tell he always has a great time and he will happily go to any of the ladies in his room. He especially likes Miss Aimee in bobtails (meemee he tells me!) her energy with the children shows true passion and love
for what she does. The front of house ladies are always super helpful with any queries and will always do anything they can to help. I also love the fact that all staff are paediatric first aid trained and have protocols in place for intruders to ensure the children are as safe as they can be.
I couldn't recommend this nursery more.
Thanks for everything you do for my boy.

Our daughter has attended Children 1st Plumtree since she was 10 months old and loves going each day which is due to the caring staff. They do lots of arts and crafts and she loves playing in the amazing outdoor play facilities. I would recommend this nursery to family and friends.

Children 1st Plumtree have taken great care of my child ever since they started over 18 months ago. The staff are always happy to help and have great relationships with the children. Parents are kept up to date with photos of activities, and the nursery team put a lot of effort into coming up with
different things for the children to learn and do. My child loves going.

Both my boys have had such a positive experience here. The staff really have the children's best interests at the forefront of everything they do. The nursery haven't only supported my boys in their various transitions but have supported us as parents during some
trickier times. It's a very special
place and we couldn't recommend it enough!

I cannot recommend Children's 1st at plumtree enough. My little boy transferred from Children's first at bilbourgh as we moved house and I have been so impressed with not only how they supported the transition but the nursery overall! My son has complex allergies and they have managed this amazingly
making sure he's never left out all while keeping him safe there has not been a single exposure to his allergens which is so reassuring! The staff are all wonderful and the management are very hands on, they communicate well and will call to let you know if something is not quite right with my little one but don't expect you to pick them up for minor things! Overall it's a wonderful environment and would recommend them to anyone!

We were initially hesitant about our daughter attending a nursery, however after attending an open day at Children 1st our minds were instantly changed. The setting is wonderful, the children have so much space (including outdoors) in all the different rooms with lots of things they can play with and
spark their learning. It is clear to see that the children, and their needs, are at the forefront of the nurseries mind. All of the management team are very helpful and the level of communication we receive from the app is excellent. Our daughter is currently in Jemima Puddleducks and has settled in so well - better than we could have ever hoped for! All of the staff in the baby room are truly brilliant and we know our daughter is in safe hands. The variation of food offered is excellent and it's all cooked on site, fresh that day. Overall, we couldn't have wished for a better nursery and we highly recommend it to everyone!

We've had a really great experience with this nursery.

It's clear the setting is truly focused on the children and their needs. The staff are friendly, enthusiastic, and easy to talk to - nothing ever feels like too much trouble.

The nursery is always evolving, regularly introducing new ideas,

activities, and ways of learning to keep things engaging. There's so much thought put into the children's development, and it's lovely to see how well supported they are. The menu is varied and well balanced, and our girls really enjoy the meals.

The staff genuinely care about the children as individuals. Mornings are always warm and welcoming, and it's clear our girls have had great fun when we collect them.

The management team really understand the needs of working parents and maintain a personal, caring approach. Communication is excellent and reassuring. Pricing feels fair and reasonable for the quality of care.

Our girls couldn't be happier here - we would highly recommend this place.

We have had an excellent experience with the early years team. They transitioned our child to nursery very smoothly, especially miss nic and Ellie who are wonderful with the babies. There's a lot of attention on varying the activities and engaging the kids in all sorts of things.

The communication has much improved since the app. The staff are friendly and caring, and my daughter enjoys going to nursery. Lots of lovely activities are available every session. When my daughter came to nursery initially there was a lot of staff changes, and this wasn't communicated. This has settled
and the staff are fantastic. If my daughter has been involved in an incident I have been phoned and given reassurance. This has been appreciated. Thank you, I have recommended to many others.

I'd like to give a special shout out to the two main ladies in Jemima puddle ducks, they've done a fantastic job of helping my LO settle in since June but also helping me feel confident to leave her for longer stretches & take things at my own pace. I could never of hoped for how well she has settled
& that's down to the ladies dedicated attention to her in those early months. They also deserve a special acknowledgment for handling the extra crying babies since September it can't be easy to keep your sense of humour up when they're all screaming but some how they do.

My son is in his final year and has been attending since 10 months old. The care and love that each room and member of staff has shown has been brilliant throughout. In recent months, the early years room has made fabulous changes and I've seen so much progress in my sons learning and behaviour. The
curriculum is well thought out and the children are given loads of experiences and opportunities. The amount of photos and updates parents receive is perfect and great to see what they get up to!

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.883)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.883) out of 10 for Children 1st Plumtree Nursery School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 38 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.883 for Children 1st Plumtree Nursery School is calculated as follows: ( (407 Excellents x 5) + (41 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 454 Ratings = 4.883
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Children 1st Plumtree Nursery School is based on 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 143 number of registered child places is 28.6, which has been reached with 38 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
