Overall Experience

We recently visited Footsteps Nursery and overall had a very positive first impression. The manager was lovely, welcoming, and took the time to show us around. The nursery itself was clean, well-organised, and had a warm, friendly atmosphere. Most importantly, our child absolutely loved the place and seemed very comfortable and happy during the visit.

The only downside has been the registration process. We have been waiting for several weeks for updates, and even simple steps such as receiving the registration form by email have taken much longer than expected and we never recived it till date or no updates. Better communication and a more efficient follow-up process would greatly improve the experience for prospective parents.

Overall, the nursery made a great impression on us, but the administration side could benefit from some improvement.

Overall Experience
My daughter has attended this preschool since she was in the baby room, and our experience has been excellent from the very beginning. The environment is warm, welcoming, and, most importantly, safe, which gave me great confidence when she first started.
The preschool provides a wide range of opportunities for children to learn, explore, and thrive. One of the standout features is the forest school programme, which encourages outdoor learning, independence, and a love of nature. It has been wonderful to see how much my daughter enjoys these experiences.
Over the years, I have seen tremendous growth and development in my daughter, both socially and academically. The staff are caring, professional, and dedicated to supporting each child's individual needs and potential. I have never had any issues with either the staff or the facilities, and communication has always been positive and reassuring.

I would highly recommend this preschool to any parent looking for a nurturing, stimulating

Overall Experience
I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. My oldest child attended this nursery and absolutely thrived. When she was two and a half, I made the decision to move her to a nursery closer to home as it was within walking distance. Looking back, it was a huge mistake. Sometimes you don't realise just how exceptional something is until you leave it.

Because of that experience, I made sure to put my second child's name on the waiting list when I was just 12 weeks pregnant. With nurseries filling up earlier than ever these days, I knew there was nowhere else I wanted my child to be. What truly sets this nursery apart is the staff. The care, dedication and genuine warmth shown by the staff are second to none. The management team has created an incredible environment, and it's clear that anyone they bring into the team is expected to uphold those same high standards. I will continue to sing the praises of the Buckden team.

Overall Experience

Buckden Day Nursery is a wonderful setting and we highly recommend it. The staff are all so caring, kind and warm, and they provide fantastic care. Our son has been in the baby room and is now in the toddler room and he always enjoys a lovely varied day, with enriching and educational activities both inside and outside, including sensory sessions once a week. He has really developed during his time here. The food is tasty and nutritious. And the office/ management team are so helpful and knowledgeable too. We are so pleased that he enjoys his days at Buckden Day Nursery, it's a special place!

Overall Experience
I currently have a child attending BDN but I also have an 8 year year who went there..I love this nursery and all the staff who work there. I think the activities the children get to do and the facilities on offer are excellent. I love the feeling of the nursery especially.

I am always safe in the knowledge she will have a terrific day and I think they feed her better than I do at home!!!

Overall Experience
Freshfields have been a great nursery for our son (aged 18 months). He joined at 12 months and settled very quickly.
They have a beautiful facility, with a farm garden and lots of outdoor space, which he enjoys. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and he is always happy to go to them in the morning.

They offer breakfast club drop off, which helps to balance work and school drop offs. We have only been with them a few months, but we have had a great experience at Freshfields and would recommend.

My son attends and I couldn't be happier with my choice. From his very first settling-in session, the staff have been incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in his happiness and development. As a parent navigating additional needs, I have been especially blown away by the nursery's SENCO support. The team is incredibly proactive, inclusive, and collaborative. They have worked closely with me to create a tailored environment where my son can thrive at his own pace, ensuring he never misses out on the fun.The nursery feels cozy and welcoming. What I love most is their focus on outdoor play. The garden spaces are fantastic, the kids absolutely thrive during their outdoor activities and forest school sessions.The communication from the team is excellent. We receive regular updates and photos, which give us total peace of mind that he is safe and cared for. I would recommend to anyone in the area! Slightly gutted he will be leaving soon for school.

Could not be happier with our nursery. The management are brilliant, professional and caring. The in room staff are also exceptional. My daughters have a tough time picking their favourite. Both of them have grown so much in confidence and I'm sure this has so much to do with the opportunities of learning the nursery provide in such a safe and caring space.

We have had the most amazing experience with Buckden Day nursery! Our daughter loves it and is thriving in her setting. She has loved every room she has attended. Overall Experience
My child started in January 2025, they were very nervous as was going to be their 1st time away from myself. They were very emotional to begin with but the nursery were so good with them getting them settled and making sure they were happy and comfortable. They are now more then happy to go in, infact they often ask if they can go to nursery on non nursery days. They enjoy it so much ive even added an extra day of nursery to there schedule. They are so great with both fun and educational play. My child went from not speaking much to now being able to communicate so much better with myself and also other people. They offer great support.

My child has also been introduced to new foods that at home they won't eat. They now eat fresh fruit (which they would never even touch at home) but happily enjoys at nursery. They have also become more independent with play, eating, tidying up and so much more. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

I am really pleased with the nursery we have chosen for our Daughter to go to. She is very happy and eager for her nursery days. The staff are always friendly and happy and we enjoy and appreciate getting the updates on the family app about our Daughter. We are happy with the variety of food that's on offer and the activities she does. I also really appreciate the staff taking the time at pick up to talk to me about my Daughters day and filling me in on her antics. Overall really pleased with everything so far.

It's a lovely little nursery, staff are very kind and supportive, the classrooms are very well sized and the kids all well cared for. It has one of the largest outdoors areas I've seen in the area as I viewed a few before choosing The Little School. I now have 2 children here, in both the baby room and preschool class, and am very happy.
