I can't fault how Hucknall day nursery have managed my daughters first few weeks in the baby room. She would become upset on drop off and collection but the staff in the baby room have really built a bond with her so now she is happy to go in which reassures me she is enjoying it. She would become upset on drop off and collection but the staff in the baby room have really built a bond with her so now she is happy to go in which reassures me she is enjoying it. I receive updates and photos throughout the day of her getting involved in activities which again is so reassuring that they are supporting her development everyday that she attends. One of managers, Kym, is very approachable and always available to deal with any queries.

Hello, I am Kym, and I have been part of Hucknall Day Nursery since 2003. I began my childcare journey as an apprentice, completing my Level 2 qualification before progressing to Level 3 and, later, achieving my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of supporting so many children and families during some of the most important years of a child’s life. I love watching children grow in confidence, develop new skills, and discover the world around them. Being a part of those early years and helping children thrive is what makes my role so rewarding.
Having lived in Hucknall for many years, I am incredibly proud to work in a nursery that plays such an important role within the local community.
We have built strong relationships with generations of families, and I am passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, happy, and valued every day.
