The Bourne End Day Nursery and Preschool (previously Poppies Bourne End) offers a warm and friendly welcome where children aged 3 months to 5 years enjoy inspirational learning experiences.

The nursery, which opened in 2006, is situated in a beautifully converted Methodist Church in Furlong Road and is spread across two floors.

The setting offers a cosy home from home environment where children are nurtured from baby room through to preschool. Children build strong bonds with the practitioners who help them grow into confident young learners.

The nursery has a close parent partnership and families are updated daily with photos of their child’s activities, so they have wonderful memories of their time at Bourne End.

I cannot say enough brilliant things about this nursery. My daughter has been going full time for 3 years now and the environment is nurturing, fun and warm. The manager and the team are diligent about all aspects of safeguarding and care deeply about each child. The staffing has been broadly consistent
since we've been attending and I think that's credit to the manager and her management team who create a team people want to work with.

Excellent staff, with a calm friendly atmosphere at drop-off, and fun happy atmosphere at pick-up.
Great range of foods and encouraging independence in serving and eating.
Love the classes that are provided - Music and French.

Staff and management have always provided excellent care for my son and are always helpful and approachable if we have any questions.

My son has been at the nursery for nearly 1.5 years. He is so happy there and has a great relationship with his key worker and his peers. We get brilliant updates about his progress and the weekend sessions and Christmas parties that the team put on are a fantastic way to stay in touch. The team work

My child loved her nursery experience and I could not have wished for better carers. The staff all truly care.
Since new management felt the nursery well stronger on safeguarding and variety of education.

I have two children at this nursery and both thoroughly enjoy their time there. The staff are amazing, they are all super friendly and genuinely care about each child which creates a lovely family feel. I get photos on the app every day and love seeing the variety of things the children are up to.
My
eldest is going to school later this year and having seen all the guidance the school have given about what the children need to be able to do I am so grateful to the nursery for preparing him and making sure his transition will be smooth. My experience has always been positive but has been further improved by the current manager who has made a great impact on the nursery, injecting a new energy and ensuring a child-first focus.

From the moment we decided to move our daughter from another nursery to Little Garden, we have been continually impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the dedication of the staff. The nursery staff are dedicated, nurturing, and highly skilled, providing a stimulating environment where children
can thrive. We particularly love the nursery's emphasis on hands-on activities, outdoor play, and interactive learning as it ensures our little person is engaged and excited to come in each day! Safeguarding, welfare, and hygiene standards are impeccable and on our own experience of another setting and viewing all alternate settings in the local area - far exceed the competition! This really does give us total peace of mind that our child is in a secure and healthy environment. I took on a role at a local preschool providing one-to-one support for a child with additional needs.
