Pelican Place Nursery

My daughter is always happy to go to nursery and gets super excited when we arrive at nursery. Her room teachers are always in high spirits, are super kind and show a lot of care and love for the children. The structure in place is easy to follow for us at home on the days she is not in nursery. The office admin staff are always useful and explain things clearly. We have not had problems with the nursery. My daughter has been here almost 2years. The food menu is also excellent and my daughter eats her food well. Staff help her with teaching reading, numbers, writing and games. The only thing l would suggest is refurbishment of the smaller building being used as pre-school. It looks like an afterthought and could use some remodelling to make it look like less of a converted house on a small budget to a nursery room with classroom like features since its to be ised as the preschool. Wider corridor and enlarge the classroom. Otherwise, its a good nursery for us and would recommend

My child has been attending pelican place for 1yr and 4months and I can say with certainty that it is exceptional. I always feel very well informed, I know my child is fed nutritious food. My child is constantly learning and thriving whilst at nursery and is so incredibly happy to be there each day. As a worrier I know I can reach out to the nursery at any time with no judgement, being met with kindness and support each time. The staff go above and beyond to care for my child and ensuring learning milestones are always being met. I always recommend pelican place to any of my friends looking for a nursery as it is a joyful place for children to attend. I couldn't be happier as a parent with the care and support my child receives. The best in the area by far! A huge thank you for all the staff.

The staff at Pelican embody what any parent hopes for their child when searching for a nursery. I have always found them to be caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. My daughter loves going to nursery and the staff are always happy to share knowledge and feedback at whatever cadence we need.

The food and facilities are fantastic and the management are present and approachable. I couldn't comprehend finding an equivalent or better nursery than Pelican if I tried.

I have nothing but great things to say to this Nursery. My son has been with Pelican Witham since Jan 2025 and they have been amazing. They teach him things I wouldnt even think about and he has come on in leaps and bounds - its truly his favoriate place to be! Everyone is so friendly, from the staff in the rooms (Jellyfish and now Dolphin) to the other members of staff. Always well informed of what he has done/ate etc during the day. This nursery was recommended to me by a friend, and I always recommend myself

Pelican Place has always delivered a fantastic level of care for our children, our eldest attended for 3 years before starting school and our 18 month old is currently attending and thriving there. The staff are lovely, they really engage with the children and provide so many different play and learning opportunities, as well as supporting developmental stages such as potty training. They were also amazing at dealing with our eldest's extensive food allergies, it give us such piece of mind that he was being so well looked after.

We are so happy that we chose pelican place for our son. The staff are all incredibly supportive and always encourage him to learn and try new things, which has really helped his confidence grow.

They have also been amazing in supporting us through some recent challenges with his diet and intolerances, adapting to his new dietary needs with such care and understanding.

He loves going to nursery, has made lots of lovely friends, and really enjoys spending time with his key people. He always comes out happy and excited to go back again, which says everything about how cared for and settled he feels there. We couldn't be happier with the support and care they provide.

Very lovely staff! My child loves going there! She has come on leaps and bounds since she started and she enjoys her time there. As parents we are very pleased to have her at Pelican until she starts school.

The nursery has been fantastic for both my son from 2018 and my daughter currently in pre school. The staff are extremely caring, passionate and helpful and my children have thrived whilst attending Pelican Place. I have always given praise to the nursery for the positive outcome of my children's learning and will continue to recommend them to others.

We have zero complaints about Pelican. All the staff have been kind, caring and accommodating to our questions as parents, and we see the high level of care and consideration they have for our son and his needs as an individual. We know when we drop him off for the day that he is being left in safe hands. We couldn't ask for better

My daughter has been going to Pelican for a couple of years now and is thriving, the teachers are all so friendly fun and professional. She is excited every day to go which makes me happy and the things she’s been taught are amazing, she has a lovely few friends in her class too.

I honestly cannot recommend Pelican Place enough. We viewed the setting along with others in the area at the end of 2021 but we instantly knew that this was the nursery for us. My daughter was just under 2 when we joined and didn't talk much at all, to the point that we were a little concerned about her progress. Almost instantly she completely came out of her shell. She absolutely adored the ladies in her room and would be bouncing to go into nursery! Handovers were always detailed, I felt so sure that she was absolutely fine there. She loves the home-cooked food and the menu is so varied so it has really helped her explore different tastes and textures. She is now in the preschool room, due to leave next September and I'll be gutted to be leaving! They are setting her up perfectly for school. She has grown into such a lovely, bubbly, social child and I put a lot of that down to the girls at Pelican. They're now like family to us. I cannot recommend them or thank them enough.

My daughter started here in September. It has taken her a while to settle into the new routine but the staff are lovely and welcoming. She is less clingy in the mornings now which is reassuring. We often have pictures sent to us to show what she has been up to throughout the day. She comes out of nursery looking like she had fun which is the best bit as it makes us working mums feel less guilty! Would recommend!

We have been using Pelican Nursery full-time for 5 years now for both my children. The staff have always made me feel like my children are well looked after and safe. Activities are very well thought out supporting each child's needs. The staff have always been very welcoming, and honestly feel like a second family. Pelican Place changed companies not long ago but the staff remained the same which was very comforting as I can't fault the team and management who work in the building. The prices of the nursery did change when the new company took over which was a little surprise for parents but the staff here are trustworthy, thoughtful and caring and always put your child's needs first. The staff definitely make this nursery what it is and worth the additional cost. They would still be the first choice of nursery.

The nursery is very well managed with friendly and extremely competent staff. We feel very confident with the care they provide and couldn’t recommend them more.

They provide a mix of structured and free play. The meals are good and I am pleased it is a milk and water environment only (in terms of drinks).

Pelican Place has been amazing with both of my children. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and they really care about the children. My daughter has learned so much since attending nursery and has really come out of her shell. They do so many activities, she is always coming home with lots of artwork which she enjoys telling me about.

We absolutely love Pelican Place. We have been sending our children there for 4 years and have never had cause for complaint. Staff are friendly and helpful, great communication. Our children love it there and are always excited for nursery days. The preschool education gave our daughter a great preparation for school and it still shows 2 years later; we hope our youngest daughter will be equally as prepared. Great varied menu and food too. We couldn't be happier or more assured to send our children to Pelican Place.
