The Old Station Nursery Group was established in 2002 with the opening of the group’s first nursery in Faringdon. Since then, the company has grown steadily, creating a similar feeling and ethos in each setting whilst nourishing each nursery’s unique strengths.

With the group being one of the leading nursery providers in the UK focused on learning, it is important that each child leaves nursery with a love of learning and the possibility to succeed in all that comes next. Furthermore, what matters most is that not only do the children feel safe and happy but also that there is a strong partnership maintained between the nursery, child and family.

Together, as a collective group of settings across the UK, the nursery teams work together to share knowledge and best practice, to inspire one another, and to ensure that they continue to innovate the ways in which they provide the highest standard of care to all children.

My son has attended LGR Flaxton for a year now and has recently moved to the Cheeky Hens room. I continue to be very happy with the nursery. It's a lovely setting with lots of outdoor space and they try and get the children outside as much as possible (weather permitting). The staff are very attentive
and do lots of varied activities with the children. Would highly recommend.

Choosing to send our daughter to Little Green Rascals on Tadcaster Road was definitely one of the best decisions we made.


She's now in her final year, so we've experienced the different classes and met so many of the lovely staff along the way. Throughout it all, it's been such a positive experience

for our daughter. She's had so many fun days, learned lots, met some wonderful key workers, and made some really special friendships.


We're really grateful to the whole team for creating such a caring and supportive environment for our daughter.

Our daughter has been going to Little Green Rascals since she was just 13 months old. The toddler room has certainly been the highlight for us! She has so much confidence now and has made lots of friends. She also adores her keyworker and the other ladies in the room. It is a little pricey compared
to town nurseries, but don't let this put you off, as the children are in the country air and able to spend so much time playing/exploring the outdoors! Our daughter only goes once a week and at first we thought she may struggle to ever settle, but we have absolutely no doubt she has the best time. Although we don't receive constant updates about her, we see a noticeable difference in her social and communication development each month. She always leaves so happy and full of joy!

We absolutely love Little Oaks! We currently have two of our children there, and our eldest also attended from the age of two until starting pre-school. We have been incredibly pleased with the care they have received.
The staff truly go above and beyond, and the children are made to feel so loved
and supported. The attention given to each child's development as they move through the different rooms is fantastic.
Communication from the staff and the nursery is excellent. We receive regular updates and photos, which really helps to ease the separation and keeps us involved in their day.
We couldn't recommend Little Oaks highly enough!

The staff at LGR Tadcaster Road have been amazing. Our son adjusted very fast and they have been absolutely amazing with him from the start. Molly, Alexandra and Evie have been brilliant with our little boy and in keeping us updated on how he is adjusting and what he is doing during the day.

We have recently moved to York as a family, and we have a 16 month old daughter. Obviously, with such a move, as parents we were very worried about unsettling our daughter, and taking her away from a great nursery that she was already settled. The staff at little free rascals put our minds at ease immediately,
and made the transition seamless and hassle free. The care provided to our daughter is first class, and the key practitioner takes a real interest in her development and happiness. The updates are provided through an app and are delivered at regular intervals. The safeguarding is excellent, and we couldn't feel happier with our choice of nursery.

The staff at LGR have consistently gone above and beyond in supporting not only our child but also us as a family. The team has been incredibly helpful with everything from answering funding questions to setting up payments to best support our child's needs. We've also really appreciated the thoughtful
resources sent home, such as the interactive learning bags introducing new key workers and activities to help support our child's emotional development using the Colour Monster. We currently use the early drop-off option, which has made a big difference. It allows our child to have a calmer, quieter start to the day and also helps us manage our work-life balance. The nursery provides so many wonderful opportunities for our child, including activities like French and rugby, which add great variety to their learning & development. Finally, and most importantly, the bond that nursery staff in each of the rooms have formed with our child has been amazing.

My daughter has only been attending this nursery for a few months but she absolutely loves it, as do I. The staff have all been amazing and especially attentive during the first few weeks, which was very reassuring for me as a first time mum. They are extremely caring and have helped make the daunting
transition to nursery completely stress-free with lots of regular updates throughout each day. They're so friendly and welcoming and the nursery is lovely.

Such a lovely nursery, great outdoors space where the children spend lots of time whatever the weather, staff are very friendly, great communication skills and handovers at the end of the day, kept up to date on the app with lots of information and photographs daily.

Our son moved onto primary school in September 2025 after more than three happy years at Humpty Dumpty.
He has really shone, starting off shy and sad to be left and then becoming friends with most of the staff who still ask after him now.
We couldn't wish for a more happy and supportive environment.
I'd thoroughly recommend Humpty Dumpty at Dartington.

My 3rd child just started nursery in Dartington and I'm same pleased now with the nursery, their amazing staff and the educational time children are receiving there, as I was 10 years ago when my son started. We are bilingual family and all our little ones was struggling with their speech/talk level

Our child has been at HDC Kingsteignton since she was 7 months old. She is always so happy to go into nursery in the mornings and always comes out with a smile on her face. She likes to tell us all about her day and also talks very fondly of the staff in the toddler room.

We absolutely love The Grange Montessori in Ramsgate. Our daughter has grown in leaps and bounds, and has come out her shell since starting at the nursery. Nursery has lots of event dates and keep you informed of these up and coming dates. The app is updated daily which help you continue to feel included
with your child's life even when working. Only downside I've found recently is that there is a lot of new members of staff, and their handover is next to none most times. When dropping my daughter off there's never a handover at the early start of 7:30, even had my daughter snatched off me one morning before I could even say bye, wasn't asked how she was after her weekend.
Majority of the staff are absolutely lovely, friendly and approachable with any worries.
Daughter particularly loves Kirsty and Hannah
