The Old Station Nursery Group was established in 2002 with the opening of the group’s first nursery in Faringdon. Since then, the company has grown steadily, creating a similar feeling and ethos in each setting whilst nourishing each nursery’s unique strengths.

With the group being one of the leading nursery providers in the UK focused on learning, it is important that each child leaves nursery with a love of learning and the possibility to succeed in all that comes next. Furthermore, what matters most is that not only do the children feel safe and happy but also that there is a strong partnership maintained between the nursery, child and family.

Together, as a collective group of settings across the UK, the nursery teams work together to share knowledge and best practice, to inspire one another, and to ensure that they continue to innovate the ways in which they provide the highest standard of care to all children.

Our son started at HDC in Sept 2023 and has moved up through all four rooms. As a family we have had a fantastic experience throughout. All the staff have been so friendly, kind and patient. The communication has been excellent and our son has thrived at the nursery. He absolutely loves attending and
has made some very special bonds with staff and peers. He loves being outside and the outside space at the nursery is exceptionally and this has certainly been a highlight of his time there. He has had so many opportunities both within the nursery setting and in the wider community, these have helped to built his confidence and provide a fantastic foundation towards his next steps at school. We cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for our son and us as a family and we will be sad for him to be leaving.

I couldn't recommend old station nursery Alcester more! My son has flourished since being here. He loves going in to nursery and is always talking about his day, his friends and the staff at home. He is learning so much and it's wonderful to see how they encourage his personality to shine. The staff
are great and communicate very well, and I get good quality updates into his development, areas of focus and all the fun things he gets up to during the day. We have had a great experience with the team at Alcester.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Whitstable Choochoos. My oldest son attended from baby room up to the butterfly room and had such a fun time in all 3 rooms. The staff are attentive and really encourage the children to get involved in a wide range of activities as well as being encouraging
with their development. Every month there is a stay and play event which is so nice for the parents to see their children in the setting having fun. When my eldest son left for school in September we actually felt sad about him leaving the team! My second son is now in the caterpillar room and I'm really happy with the progress he is making.

The Old Station Nursery Wellesbourne is a fantastic nursery where my two children have flourished. The care is exceptional and the staff treat my children as if they are part of their own families. Nutrition is covered through the onsite chef with everything prepared freshly. The forest school and gardens
provided great outside space for the children to be active and involved with nature. The nursery's manager is also fantastic and does so much to accommodate the children and any last minute additional support that is needed.

My son has been in nursery here since he was 5 months old. I was nervous about him starting so young, but the staff at Choochoos have been absolutely fantastic and I am so glad I found this nursery. He absolutely loves going in each day and they keep me regularly updated throughout the day with photos
of what he is up to.
He is now 16months old and smiles and claps every time we get to the nursery door - he greets staff with open arms and it really is just a big family.

My twins are in the baby room at Choochoos and they are very happy there (which makes me equally happy).
The staff are so kind, nurturing and supportive - they go out of their way to help me with tricky twin logistics and the bonds they form with the children really shine through.
I was recommended
the nursery by lots of people and I can really see why. I'm so grateful to have a nursery that I feel so comfortable with. They do a wide range of amazing activities with the babies and I can see such a big improvement in their development.

My husband and I have been incredibly impressed with Choo Choos Whitstable, especially the team in the baby room. Our daughter is a naturally shy type and could easily fade into the background but the staff do a wonderful job of treating her as an individual and involving her. She loves going to nursery
and truly enjoys the company of those there - now she even greets them with a cuddle and lots of smiles. I truly believe this is due to the care and attention they offer to each child, and the evident pride they take in what they do. Everyday they seem to be doing a fun, new activity, despite the children's young age. It was very difficult to find a suitable nursery and we were very nervous to start with but we feel safe in the knowledge that she is in a place that truly puts the children first. Having twins means everything is doubledouble the joy, but also double the challenge! Even simple things like getting them in and out of the car can be tricky, but the nursery team have gone above and beyond to support us in every way. From day one, they've been amazing always ready to help, always
understanding, and always treating my babies with so much love and care.
The staff truly get to know each child as an individual, which means both of my twins are thriving in their own ways. It really feels like a home from home warm, welcoming, and full of care. I completely trust the team to look after my little ones, and that peace of mind means everything.
The food is also AMAZING varied, and freshly prepared - I'm often jealous of their meals!
I can't thank the nursery enough for the support, kindness, and genuine care they show every single day. We're so grateful to have found such an amazing place for our twins to grow.

Since my son joined Miller Drive Good Manors he has been incredibly happy. I was sceptical as I had to change his setting pretty quickly, but he settled so well and smooth and all the staff were so friendly. I even get regular updates on how he is doing via an app. The team have been so welcoming and
friendly and it's so nice to see him come in happy and making friends. I can see that he loves being in the garden and enjoys getting messy too. I've also noticed that his speech has progressed too! My son has been trying a wider range of food since attending the nursery, which has helped so much when he is at home. Happy Mum and happy child.

Choochoos is a friendly, welcoming nursery with lovely staff who offer quality activities that help children learn core skills and values. My daughter's independence has soared since she started here. Couldn't recommend them more!!!

My daughter is currently in the baby room at choo choos and she loves it. The staff are amazing, they really care about the kids and they do so many activities with them. I feel really comfortable leaving my daughter there.
My older daughter also went to the pre-school room and she learnt so much.
I was really impressed with the nursery as a whole, the manager works really hard.

My 2.5 year old son joined this nursery in September and he has made so much progress in his social and developmental skills. A big thank you to the team for being so patient, nurturing and for genuinely caring about the wellbeing of the children. I know when I leave my son here he is entering an environment
that is clean, safe and full of positive energy. 10/10 everytime.

I've had two children attend the nursery-one has now left and one still attends. The room staff are lovely: very friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent with the children.
The manager, however, is very difficult to deal with. She seems to have limited people skills and struggles to handle different
types of personalities. It often feels like there is one rule for her and another for the staff.
I also find the nursery's safeguarding policy far too relaxed. Anyone can let someone into the building, which is very concerning. This responsibility is pushed onto parents rather than being properly managed by the nursery. There are many measures that could be put in place, yet on a daily basis I see parents letting me in-and I could be anyone. This is a management issue, not a staff issue.
There have also been times when there are more agency staff than regular staff, and the handovers in these situations are often very poor.
The nursery also dictates when you can spend your own funding.

My daughter loves nursery and her development has really grown since starting. The staff are really supportive with her development and tailor everything to progress her to her next steps. The garden area is brilliant for all ages and as my daughter is an outdoor child this was an important factor into
what nursery we chose. Choo Choos is an amazing nursery and we are so grateful for everything they do for our daughter. We cannot thank them enough!
