We just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the team for their incredible hard work and dedication. This nursery is truly excellent, and it's clear how much love and care goes into everything LGR does.
Our little boy absolutely loves his time at nursery and it means so much to see him happy, confident,

My son has attended LGR Flaxton for a year now and has recently moved to the Cheeky Hens room. I continue to be very happy with the nursery. It's a lovely setting with lots of outdoor space and they try and get the children outside as much as possible (weather permitting). The staff are very attentive
and do lots of varied activities with the children. Would highly recommend.

Choosing to send our daughter to Little Green Rascals on Tadcaster Road was definitely one of the best decisions we made.


She's now in her final year, so we've experienced the different classes and met so many of the lovely staff along the way. Throughout it all, it's been such a positive experience

for our daughter. She's had so many fun days, learned lots, met some wonderful key workers, and made some really special friendships.


We're really grateful to the whole team for creating such a caring and supportive environment for our daughter.

Our daughter has been going to Little Green Rascals since she was just 13 months old. The toddler room has certainly been the highlight for us! She has so much confidence now and has made lots of friends. She also adores her keyworker and the other ladies in the room. It is a little pricey compared
to town nurseries, but don't let this put you off, as the children are in the country air and able to spend so much time playing/exploring the outdoors! Our daughter only goes once a week and at first we thought she may struggle to ever settle, but we have absolutely no doubt she has the best time. Although we don't receive constant updates about her, we see a noticeable difference in her social and communication development each month. She always leaves so happy and full of joy!

We have recently moved to York as a family, and we have a 16 month old daughter. Obviously, with such a move, as parents we were very worried about unsettling our daughter, and taking her away from a great nursery that she was already settled. The staff at little free rascals put our minds at ease immediately,
and made the transition seamless and hassle free. The care provided to our daughter is first class, and the key practitioner takes a real interest in her development and happiness. The updates are provided through an app and are delivered at regular intervals. The safeguarding is excellent, and we couldn't feel happier with our choice of nursery.

The staff at LGR have consistently gone above and beyond in supporting not only our child but also us as a family. The team has been incredibly helpful with everything from answering funding questions to setting up payments to best support our child's needs. We've also really appreciated the thoughtful
resources sent home, such as the interactive learning bags introducing new key workers and activities to help support our child's emotional development using the Colour Monster. We currently use the early drop-off option, which has made a big difference. It allows our child to have a calmer, quieter start to the day and also helps us manage our work-life balance. The nursery provides so many wonderful opportunities for our child, including activities like French and rugby, which add great variety to their learning & development. Finally, and most importantly, the bond that nursery staff in each of the rooms have formed with our child has been amazing.

My daughter has only been attending this nursery for a few months but she absolutely loves it, as do I. The staff have all been amazing and especially attentive during the first few weeks, which was very reassuring for me as a first time mum. They are extremely caring and have helped make the daunting
transition to nursery completely stress-free with lots of regular updates throughout each day. They're so friendly and welcoming and the nursery is lovely.

Our son has been at this nursery since 2024 and we are very impressed with the standards. Our son has complex medical needs and the team cannot do enough to help us. Not only is our son happy and thriving when there, they have helped us navigate the SEND system. The staff here are kind and caring across
all rooms and the management team are approachable and very responsive. They have all worked hard to include our son in all aspects of the day, meet his additional needs and communicate well with us. They have dedicated send staff, but the whole team is very knowledgable and fantastic with our son and with us as a family.

The level of care, compassion, expertise and engagement of all staff at Little Green Rascals has truly blown me away. We have moved our son twice from other nurseries as he never quite settled and we were sure if we found the right setting, he could thrive. I am so happy we decided to try LGR Elvington,
where we have witnessed such positive changes in him, becoming a more confident, social and resilient little boy. The dedication of the team to each child's development is clear to see.


It feels like there is true care for the the whole child - offering an excellent early year's education, healthy homemade food, plenty of opportunities for fun, play and self expression, and tailoring everything to the individual child, moving at their pace and not pushing too hard to reach arbitrary milestones.


The staff have been incredibly caring and supportive of our family throughout a recent family emergency, and have been a crucial part of our son's 'parenting village' in difficult times.

My son attends Little Green Rascals Minster Yard in the preschool room where he started in October after moving from another nursery. My son found the transition very challenging as he'd been at his previous nursery from a baby and had fab relationships with the staff and his little friends! The preschool
team and management have been nothing short of brilliant since he joined- providing him with extra settling in sessions and giving him the love and care he really needed during that difficult period!
My son loves his preschool room and has built amazing bonds with the team and made some lovely new friends!
The activities and extra curricular sessions with mini kixx, yoga, French and rugby are an amazing touch and give fantastic learning experiences each day!
The team in preschool are so kind and supportive! Big shout out to Chelsea, Liv and Aimee who are so attentive and loving towards my lad!
Management are also amazing offering great support and stay and play sessions alongside other experiences too

We have had a great experience with Little Green Rascals Elvington. Every interaction we've had with any member of staff has been a positive one. Our daughter is deaf, and they've been so accommodating to her needs. They update us regularly on the app and have strong handovers at home time. We love
the range of activities they get up to with the kids. The food seems excellent, and our daughter always eats everything. The facilities appear very clean. Everyone is just very friendly and helpful, and we couldn't recommend it enough to other parents.
