Nursery have been fab with both of my children. Really love the relationships the staff build with the children. The food is fab and facilities are brilliant. I would certainly reccomend to any new parents

LGR Haxby is a lovely nursery and preschool. We reaaly appreciate the brilliant staff, facilities and activities the children take part in. Its a wonderful space with caring and attentive staff and we would highly recommend it here!

Both of my children have attended this nursery and my youngest little girl is still there in the cheeky hens room. It is such a lovely nursery and my girls have loved it at every stage. Each of the 3 rooms are friendly and engaging for the different ages. All of the staff have always been friendly, helpful and really take the time to get to know my children. The food is also varied and my girls often talk about the chef's food. I like how the nursery do different activities with my children including baking, walks out into our local village, baby band, yoga and science tots. My children have always got excited to tell me what they have done each day. As parents, we have also had the opportunity to attend different things including sports days each year, Christmas shows and a lovely graduation for my eldest. My children are genuinely excited to go here each day to see the staff and their friends which makes the nursery experience so much easier as a parent. Would definitely recommend.

Our daughter has attended Little Green Rascals since she was 9 months old and we've been impressed from day one. Every stage of her development has been encouraged and nurtured by caring, well trained staff who strive to have a great relationship with parents/carers as well as the children in their care. The variety of activities gives the children a flavour of different sports and future hobbies, a couple of which my daughter has gone on to take up outside of nursery. The communication is great and we've always found the admin team very helpful too. The recent primary school preparedness meeting was informative, offered reassurance and shows the nursery's commitment to supporting the children as they transition into the next stage of their learning and development. We would definitely recommend this nursery for your little one!

I couldn't be happier with the care my daughter receives from the nursery, all the staff members go above and beyond to care and nurture for my little girl and it shows with how extremely happy she is here! I can't thank them all enough for everything they've done and continue to do for her. They are all such loving, caring people and she's learnt so much already over the last couple of months and that's down to them!

We only had to leave due to relocating, and we are so sad to say goodbye. A huge thank you to Tamara, Molly, River, Isla, Judi and Christie for taking such wonderful care of our daughter and making her first nursery experience so special. We would absolutely recommend Green Rascals Elvington to any parent!

Both of our children have spent their nursery years at Little Green Rascals in Poppleton and we couldn't be happier with their time spent there. Our children have made such lovely friendships during their time in nursery and created such strong, positive relationships with their key workers and all the other staff. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at the nursery for giving our children such a positive start. It has been wonderful to see how much our children have grown in confidence, independence and development during their time at nursery. We would highly recommend this nursery to any family. We leave with many happy memories.

Such a beautiful space for children to grow, learn and feel safe. Thoughtful, kind and fun staff provide a full day of interest and adventure, every day! Forest school adds great outdoor space, great activities by outside agencies (science tots and baby band were favourites for us) add to the great work done by nursery staff, the food is healthy and tasty, and the management team are available and approachable.

We recently tried the holiday club in Bishopthorpe (5+) & my son really enjoyed it.

Our child absolutely loved it at LGR Tadcaster Road. He joined at 2yo when we relocated to York and is now leaving for school. I'm very glad I trusted my gut feel and sent him here despite it being slightly more expensive and slightly further away from us.

All the team have been lovely, supportive, independence-building, conscientious. The day to day reality really has been like they said during the initial tour. The "grown ups" have warmth and understanding towards the children while setting standards via "golden rules", helping them to develop independence and confidence. They have supported him well to prepare for school despite him being young in the school year, including supporting us parents with extra school readiness meetings. One of the best parts for the pre-school children is forest school, where they build independence and spend time in amongst the trees, leaves and mud. Plus high quality, nutritious food.

My youngest son is still at Little Green Rascals and both my sons have been there. We're incredibly grateful for the care they've given our boys. My eldest struggled with his speech and they offered 1:1 sessions to help him develop his language. Now he's ahead with phonics and reading at school. Our youngest loves sports and thoroughly enjoys the extra-curriculars like rugby tots and baby yoga. In addition the forest school location is in a beautiful setting and both the boys loved it. It's a fantastic nursery with lovely staff.

What a wonderful nursery! We looked around multiple nurseries across York and Little Green Rascals Bishopthorpe just blew us away. The building is full of light, so inviting and has amazing outdoor spaces. The parent events they hold each month are everything we could've hoped for, we feel so involved in their nursery life. The staff and the management team are so supportive and informative. Couldn't recommend them enough.

A wonderful nursery who care about the kids they help raise. With multiple external clubs coming in providing activities the children always have an exciting day ahead.

LGR have been amazing! Not only for my son but have supported me as well over the last 3 years. My son has come on leaps and bounds while attending the nursery. Kelly his key worker has been incredible. We really are going to miss everyone! :(

Our son has received excellent care at Little Green Rascals and he is content there. The staff are lovely. Loads of activities every day. The food is great, though might be helpful for a 2nd option on days the child doesn't like whats on offer. The only other thing would be consistent updates. Overall though we are very pleased with the wonderful environment provided.

Our son loves going to nursery. The staff are great with him and he talks all about them. From dancing dragonflies, to little ladybirds and now cheeky hens. Rex has always been very welcomed and in his own words 'had a great day!'. When we have had to deal/talk to staff whether it be a query or catch up at the end of the day. We have always found the communication great and very informative. Special thanks to Tamara, Molly, River, Matthew, Judy and Connor!

All in all a great family friendly run nursery

Our Son has been at LGR Minster yard for 9 months now and he absolutely loves it. He's recently moved up rooms and the staff throughout have been so caring and helpful, and clearly think hard about the children's learning as they progress through different stages. He's recently moved has made lovely friends and with his limited words he still manages to reel off all the names of the staff who look after him on his journey home!

We have had such a positive experience throughout our whole journey with care from Wiggly Worms right through to our of school club now he is in reception. The staff have always been so attentive and caring a real extension of our family. Its always nerve wracking leaving your baby but I always feel confident he is happy and being well cared for. Cannot recommend Little Green Rascals highly enough.

The staff are super caring, nurturing and know both my children well! They are friendly professional and make leaving both my children with them easy! I don't worry at all about them! They have thrived at Minster Yard and I couldn't be happier with the love and care they receive.
