Day Nurseries Owned by The Old Station Nursery in North Yorkshire

Our Son has been at LGR Minster yard for 9 months now and he absolutely loves it. He's recently moved up rooms and the staff throughout have been so caring and helpful, and clearly think hard about the children's learning as they progress through different stages. He's recently moved has made lovely friends and with his limited words he still manages to reel off all the names of the staff who look after him on his journey home!

We have had such a positive experience throughout our whole journey with care from Wiggly Worms right through to our of school club now he is in reception. The staff have always been so attentive and caring a real extension of our family. Its always nerve wracking leaving your baby but I always feel confident he is happy and being well cared for. Cannot recommend Little Green Rascals highly enough.

The staff are super caring, nurturing and know both my children well! They are friendly professional and make leaving both my children with them easy! I don't worry at all about them! They have thrived at Minster Yard and I couldn't be happier with the love and care they receive.

I can't recommend this nursery enough, since my child started at this nursery they've thrived in so many ways and it's all down to the nursery and the care that the staff give to each child. My child loves attending nursery and it's all down to the staff and the environment that they have for them to play in, the best nursery in York and would recommend to anyone!

Both our children have always been so happy at LGR Poppleton. The staff are wonderful and make every day fun, not to mention the delicious meals they eat there! Their approach to encouraged learning in a playful way has had a huge impact on our children's knowledge. The social and communication skills they have learnt will stay with them for life. The preschool room is a great transition for school and I would recommend this nursery to any prospective parent.

My little girl started in January, she loves going to nursery and especially loves getting messy with the wide range of activities they have. She's settled so well and loves seeing her key person and all the girls in the room they have such a lovely bond.

My 3 children have been part of LGR for the last 7 years and they have learnt so much from coming here. My 18 month old is now in Little Ladybirds and I couldn't be happier with the care and love they show her. It was the same in another room, the care and love they all show her is everything I could ask for. She adores all the staff and children and the experience they give her is incredible, even if she is a monkey at getting to sleep! Thank you LGR.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Little Green Rascals - Minster Yard in the centre of York. Our daughter Poppy has spent the past four years here, and it has truly been a wonderful journey for her and for us as a family.

Every single nursery nurse has shown such care, dedication, and genuine warmth. It's impossible to name them all, but each one has played a part in creating a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment where children can really thrive.

A special mention has to go to Suzie, the manager, who is simply invaluable. Her support for the staff, parents, and every child is clear in everything she does. She sets such a positive tone, and it shines through the whole nursery.

Thanks to the team, Poppy is now moving on with real confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning that will stay with her for years to come. We're incredibly grateful for everything they've done and would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to any parent.

We relocated to York and didn't have much time to find a nursery thankfully Green Rascals were able to accommodate and I am so pleased there was a space my daughter has loved going and I love all of the external providers they get in to keep them busy football classes, activity sessions, science classes and French just to name a few. Staff are so friendly and lovely with my daughter I can't thank them enough!

Georgie loves her days out at LGR. She comes home so happy. The team are very happy and supportive and the setting is beautiful.

Our son started nursery at 5 months old and we were initially very nervous about sending him. The LCR team (dancing dragonflies) were absolutely brilliant and went above and beyond to make the transition smooth. Our son loves his nursery days and always has a big smile when he sees the team. They keep us updated on his day with pictures and messages and support his learning well.

We have experienced several nursery's across both our children. This is bar far the best. Exceptional warm and caring. The staff are great and the retention is high which speaks volumes about the environment

We were initially nervous about sending our baby to start nursery in the Dancing Dragonflies room but the team at Little Green Rascals have been excellent and went above and beyond to help him settle in well. Our son looks forward to his nursery days and always has a big smile when he sees his key worker.

We have had our son at Minster Yard since he was 12 months and he (and us) have had the best experience with Minster Yard. We are so happy to see how he flourishes and love the staff, who truly go above and beyond to meet each individual child's needs. The facilities are great, too, toys are in excellent condition and activities meaningful and of educational value while absolute fun for the little ones (highlights include Baby Band which our son loves). The food is excellent, nutritious and varied- and lovingly prepared by a fantastic and super friendly kitchen team on site! We moved to York for work and without any family connections in town, and we can not stress enough how Minster Yard really was so important to help us all settle here. Our son is now moving up to Cheeky Hens and we are so happy to see that he has already made some lovely friends. A big thank you to the fantastic team and management of Minster Yard- we cannot recommend you highly enough!

LGR is a really kind, safe and happy environment. We always feel comfortable dropping our daughters off, and the staff are so loving and caring. It is clear they take a lot of care in the children's development. We wouldn't consider anywhere else.
