Sandhills Day Nursery Barnt Green

The team do a great job caring for our son. He loves going to nursery and we don't have any concerns. He has had a couple of dietary issues and the team have made a plan and supported his circumstances. Thank you for all your hard work.

My son loves to go to nursery thanks to the amazing staff that help him throughout the day. The staff have helped him be more confident and explore with his learning. I would definitely recommend this nursery to others.

I have a limited pool from which to judge, but it's hard to know what more I could ask for from a nursery. The team does an excellent job of maintaining a family feel, and a steady stream of activities, outdoor play and education for the children. I shall be sorry to say goodbye when it comes time for my child to head to school, but I'll do so knowing that Sandhills has given them an excellent foundation from which to build.

This is an excellent nursery! Both of our children have attended from prior to one year old and the staff go above and beyond in caring for them. They get to know each individual child very well remarkably quickly and I feel very lucky for them to be looked after by such lovely people whilst we are out at work.

Morgan, the manager is fantastic at her job, communicates very quickly and efficiently and always tries to help us out whatever the need.

Of note the children get to go outside a lot which we appreciate in particular. It really seems like a home from home.

I honestly can't praise the staff enough. After having to move my son at short notice, the nursery were absolutely amazing in helping him settle and making him feel so welcome.

The team are truly dedicated and child centred, you can see how much they care about every child. Management is fantastic too, with great communication and so much flexibility when it comes to additional days, early starts, and more.

My son has come on in leaps and bounds thanks to all the wonderful activities he does at "nursery's house." He absolutely loves attending, and I feel so reassured knowing he's safe, happy, and well looked after.

Fantastic nursery, staff are absolutely brilliant and the activities that are on offer for the children are wonderful. Lovely environment, very welcoming and really went the extra mile in helping our little one settle in. Thank you!

Our little girl has been attending for two days a week since she was 12 months old (from June 2024) and we have had no issues at all. The staff have always been so friendly, approachable and welcoming. They really get to know the kiddies and understand what they need rather than trying to make them all fit the same mould. They helped us when our little one needs physio and there was no pressure to move classrooms when she hit a certain age, instead taking into account her confidence and ability. Our little one is always so happy there and now doesn't even want to leave when she gets picked up!

The staff are always really friendly and welcoming. Always offer advice when asked any questions. My child is very happy at nursery and loves going there. It's nice that they take them into the garden when the weather is nice and they enjoy all the activities that they do. I am really happy that I chose this nursery for my child. Thank you to the team for all of your hard work!

The staff are fantastic with my son and he loves going. The feedback we get at the end of the day shows how attentive and caring they are with the children. They really try to do activities the children will love, and it's clear the staff enjoy their work. There is a real family feel to this nursery, and I'm very glad we chose it.

The food is great and the nursery caters for my child’s dietary requirements.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for nearly 18 months. She didn’t start until she was nearly 2 and although there were a lot of tears to begin with she has settled in very well and made lots of friends. It is a smaller nursery but feels homely and the staff are very kind and caring. I feel that her confidence has grown and she has become much more adventurous with her food. My daughter has become more sociable, confident and engaging which is largely down to the environment at Sandhills in Barnt Green. Well, where do I start with Sandhills Barnt Green Nursery! My daughter moved nurseries and commenced her full-time place here in August last year. My daughter absolutely loves attending the nursery, she continues to strive in her development and it is wonderful with how many things she comes home with and tells us what she has been up to! The handovers are fantastic at collection time, as a parent you feel listened to and not rushed out the door! The staff are amazing and it’s wonderful that every time we drop and pick up they are all smiling! Thank you again for this fantastic nursery setting.

My son has been attending Sandhills Day Nursery Barnt Green for over a year now. From the beginning all the staff have made our family feel safe, welcome and well looked after. Since starting at the nursery, my son has developed really well and with the help of staff has always been looked after to a high standard. All staff are always helpful, I always get a full report of his day and can rest assured he is cared for. I am so pleased with how my son is cared for, fed and detailed reports of what he has been doing (which may I add is fun and educational as well as age appropriate). When looking for a nursery for my first born, it was really important to me that the nursery felt homely and warm. We are very pleased and our second son will be starting with the nursery at the end of the year. I was going to name key members of staff but each person that works at Sandhills Day Nursery Barnt Green have been amazing! Really lovely ladies!

Lovely staff, all very welcoming to our boy. A variety of activities for him to enjoy throughout the day - very keen on outdoor play regardless of the weather. All staff seem to have a genuine interest in our boy's learning and development.

In general, the village Nursery is commendable. The majority of the staff demonstrate a genuine concern for the children and exhibit kindness, passion, and dedication. It is evident that there is a wide range of activities offered to the children each day. While there may be room for improvement with the outdoor playground equipment, the limited space is being utilized effectively. Furthermore, the Nursery takes advantage of nearby village facilities such as the park and train station, which is a positive aspect.

I also like the email comms which we receive about upcoming events etc.

My son had to move nurseries after his original one closed. He has loved every minute of his time at Sandhills so far. The staff are amazing and have nurtured him, which has helped him settle in, but also he is learning so much.
