Little Green Rascals Haxby is an eco-friendly nursery, located at the heart of the village, where a plethora of additional activities to enrich your child's experience is offered. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

Renovated to perfection in 2019, the nursery has been a trusted and esteemed presence in the community, known for dedicated childcare professionals and exceptional reputation. With a capacity to care for 60 children each day, the nursery spans across two buildings, accommodating separate areas for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.

In Wiggly Worms, babies spend their days engaged in sensory activities that foster learning and exploration. Building strong relationships is a priority during this stage, and the exceptional team are always on hand to support you and your little one as you settle into nursery.

In Cheeky Hens, encouraging children to further develop their speech, language, and understanding skills is key. Creative and imaginative skills flourish through daily messy play activities, while focused topics unveil a deeper knowledge and comprehension of the world around them.

In Little Green Rascals, children aged 3 and above embark on a journey to become independent learners. With free-flow access to the gardens, they can spend their entire day exploring and learning amidst the natural wonders that surround them.

A range of exciting activities, such as Forest School, yoga, drama, dance, and language lessons are also available across the nursery.

I cannot recommend little green Rascals Haxby enough.
Charlotte and her team are just amazing, they really do provide home from home care and my boys have absolutely loved being there from the day that they started to the day that they both left.
The activities that they do with the children are
so wonderful they really do think out of the box and provide experiences that my children wouldn't have at home and they have learnt so much from nursery.
The environment that the nursery staff create is calm, cozy and just altogether beautiful.
The staff have done so much for my family from Sen needs to overall family support. They really have played a huge part in bringing my children and I cannot thank them enough.
Lynette and Gemma in preschool are absolutely the most kind, caring lovely people and supported by autistic little boy every single day since he's gone to school he talks about them every day and misses them so dearly!
Jemma, Molly and Lucy in cheeky hens are amazing too xx

My child is in wiggly worms and has built a lovely relationship with his key worker. The staff that come to the door to collect him are lovely and so friendly. My child loves his time in wiggly worms and goes in happy.

Absolutely love this nursery the staff are all so lovely and the food they offer is full of variety, super fresh and organic which is amazing! They always seem to be doing lots of fun activities and get nice and messy which I love as it shows they've had so much fun. They also take them into the village
and it's so nice to see the staff happy and the kids love it. There's a great parent staff relationship and I trust them all fully. I also love how much they get outside and enjoy the natural world. Overall love it!!

My child has been going to Little Green Rascals in Haxby since he was 9 months old and we could not fault anything. They give him wonderful care, meet all his needs and provide him with lovely activities. Baby band seems to be one of his favourite activities and makes it really value for money. The

My daughter had never been to nursery before so I was a bit apprehensive when she started. Staff at Haxby Little Green Rascals have been great, reassured me when she started with regular updates. They've been excellent listeners and so patient with my daughter, providing her reassurance when needed
and keeping her entertained and well looked after. She has only been coming a month and has already come on and developed so much all thanks to the staff and her key worker. Couldn't ask for a better nursery!

Lovely staff who engage the children in a wide variety of activities. We had no separation anxiety or tears on the first day. He has made a lovely group of friends, and the kids get taken out to experience different places in the village like the parks, church and library.

Little Green Rascals Day Nursery Haxby have looked after two of my children from the beginning of 2022. I always feel like all of the staff are incredibly caring and great with the children. They always greet parents with a smile on their faces and are positive and friendly. They give a detailed handover
and always contact me when necessary. My eldest had a dairy intolerance and they have been brilliant with this. I've never had any issues with him having dairy by accident which is always a concern! I recommend Little Green Rascals Day Nursery to anyone I know with babies or young children.

What a fantastic nursery, such genuine nurturing staff. My eldest went to the nursery and my youngest is currently there and both have loved it there. There's such a range of extracurricular activities for the children, from Baby Band to Science Tots. Additionally, we get regular updates throughout
the day on our daughter's progress. We get an update on my daughter's development as well. I honestly can't recommend this nursery enough, such a wonderful establishment with wonderful staff.

I recently moved my 3 year old from a different nursery to Little Green Rascals in Haxby. I was a little nervous at first and especially moving him away from the friendships that he had previously made at his old nursery. However, I had nothing to worry about. The staff have been amazing in supporting

My little boy started at LGR Haxby when he was 10 months old, naturally I was anxious leaving him so young however I had absolutely no need to be. His key worker and the rest of the Wiggly Worms team looked after him and he settled so well into nursery life.
The staff have been really flexible with
things like his naps which I’ve had to change and adapt as he’s got older and are really keen to work alongside us to ensure the best for our little boy.
We receive useful daily information on the app and I feel well informed.
The staff and his key worker are a pleasure to speak to at the beginning and end of the day and genuinely have my son's best interests at heart. I wouldn’t send him anywhere else!

We have been sending our son here since he was 8 months old. He absolutely loved it. Stopped crying within the first few weeks and now aged 3, doesn’t stop to say goodbye before running in! He learns French, plays football and goes on trips. Highly recommend this nursery.

Staff are all so lovely, caring and nurturing. Couldn’t ask for better role models for my child. The teams go above and beyond to deliver exceptional care to a very high standard. They work tirelessly around the clock before and after opening hours to set up and prepare inviting and excellent teachable
moments and experiences for the children in their care. Staff know families really well and communicate on a personal and professional level putting you at ease when leaving your little one. They become friends and learn about your little one inside out. Wouldn’t send my child anywhere else. What a gorgeous nursery and we feel very lucky to have them on our doorstep!
The setting is very lucky to have such a wonderful chef catering for all allergies and food preferences providing the children with the most amazing home-cooked food! What an amazing asset knowing your children are eating organic, home-cooked food when you can’t do this for them!

Hi! I'm Charlotte and I'm the Nursery Manager of Haxby.


I have been working with children in the early childhood field for over 20 years. I began my journey with Little Green Rascals as a Cover Manager at all of our sites and after leaving to start my own family, I returned as Nursery Manager.


I am committed to giving our children the best possible start in life and will do everything I can to give them a solid foundation for their future.
