We absolutely love The Old Station Filkins Nursery! The new baby room is fantastic, and our little one clearly feels the same, as he leans forward with a big smile every morning, eager to go in. The staff are so kind and caring, creating such a nurturing environment where our child is truly thriving.

Such a lovely nursery for my daughter to attend.
Office staff & nursery workers are super kind, friendly and always willing to assist/help with anything. My daughter's key worker is incredible. The nursery is always clean, update to date and does such lovely activities with the babies/children.

The communication with the parents from OSN is great. Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

We couldn't be happier with this nursery! The staff are absolutely amazing - kind, patient, and genuinely caring with every child. They create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere where little ones feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. The variety of activities they plan is fantastic - from creative

play and outdoor fun to early learning experiences that really help with development. The facilities are clean, bright, and well-equipped, making it a perfect environment for children to explore and grow. The meals and snacks provided are healthy, balanced, and freshly prepared, which is such a relief for parents who want to make sure their children are eating well during the day. Another big plus is that the nursery offers a first aid course for parents, which I found incredibly useful and reassuring. It shows how much they care not only about the children's safety but also about supporting families as a whole. Truly an outstanding nursery - highly recommended!

Overall Experience

We love it here. The home cooked meals and the friendly staff make it feel like home from home. My 2 year old loves it. She started in the baby room and is now in Toddlers, growing in confidence every day - The transition was brilliantly managed.
She plays outside all the time, does Sporty Minis

weekly and yoga sometimes too. She does lots of baking and the usual painting and reading activities. The atmosphere is one of calm and I love that they all sit down to the table together to eat like a little family. Super cute! Regular pictures on the app are great to see and updates of what she's had to eat make me quite jealous! The staff are really friendly and caring, and have a good sense of humour which makes for a really positive atmosphere.

Overall Experience

My son has been attending Old Station Nursery for just over 2 years. We have had a very positive experience and to say he loves coming here would be an understatement. He looks forward to attending every session and has come so far since joining. He has a medical condition and the manager and her team

have really gone above and beyond to make sure he's so well cared for, included and happy. We are coming to the end of our time at nursery and I will be very sad for him to leave. He is absolutely ready for the move to school though and that's all thanks to the staff who have made sure everything is in place for the next step. The recent focus on independence and phonics has been really noticeable. The additional activities offered here particularly Rugby Tots have also been a huge hit.
The staff here are more like friends and nothing has ever been too much trouble. I'm so grateful we have been able to have such a wonderful couple of years here. I really cannot recommend this nursery enough.

Overall Experience

Overall I think Old Station Nursery in Bampton is a great nursery, but what makes it is its lovely, caring and generally brilliant staff. My current child is my 2nd child at the nursery & both have always been so happy there which is testament to the team.
They offer my child the development skills

she will need when moving on in early lift, which is of course supported by a loving home, but I do believe the benefits of child going to nursery, especially a one like ours, is priceless.
A big thanks to the leader of the baby room - you are just amazing and I'm so so happy you care for my 2nd child with so much love and attention, as you did my first.
My only constructive feedback is the nursery is like a sauna in the summer, please get air con & the baby outdoor space is too hot most of the summer, so other outdoor options should be offered - overheating babies is not idea and it affects my daughter skin terribly. Thank you to all though. A very happy parent.

My daughter has been very happy at OSN since joining full time last summer. She loves the multiple different activities organised throughout the week, with dancing and spanish, firm favourites. She enjoys spending alot of time outside in the large garden or at forest school.

Sending any child to nursery is a big deal, but when a child is SEN and has additional medical needs it becomes even more of a challenging decision to choose an appropriate setting. From initial show round through to the present day, the manager and team have gone above and beyond to make us feel entirely

comfortable and the way in which our daughter has flourished since starting is testament to their commitment to working with each individual child to tailor their approach and develop a special bond. We couldn't be happier with The Old Station Nursery - The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely care about the children's wellbeing and development. Communication is excellent - we always feel informed and supported.
There's a fantastic variety of activities on offer, from Forest school and Spanish

to outdoor play and seasonal crafts. The spaces are vibrant and engaging, and the outdoor area is perfect for exploration and learning. Whatever the weather the children are encouraged to spend time outside, exploring and playing - there is no other nursery in the area with such a great outdoor space!
Our daughter is excited to attend every day and always talks about her carers and friends. The manager goes above and beyond to keep improving the setting, and it shows. A truly special place where children thrive.

Overall Experience

Having had a very negative experience with a previous nursery, we were looking for somewhere colourful, caring, and nurturing - enter OSNO. During the tour we witnessed first hand how much they clearly care for their charges when a child became upset and was calmed and cared for beautifully. I knew

I'd feel safe with my daughter being there. It is a vibrant, engaging, fun environment and we loved the free flow between the toddlers and pre schoolers via the outdoor area. There is a great carer-child ratio, and though every child clearly bonds to their key worker there is a great dynamic where the staff look after each other and each other's charges too. Communication with the manager is very responsive and friendly, and our daughter adapted so well and happily going from one on one nannying to two days, we're already moving her up to three. The previous experience was disheartening, so to find OSNO is a blessing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other similarly nervous parents!

Our daughter has now been going to Bampton nursery for 6 months and loves it. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, and you get a sense that they truly care about the children that they look after. We have a detailed handover at pick up time about how the day has gone and they're always helpful

with working on targets at nursery and at home. The app is incredibly detailed and it's really nice to see the pictures of activities during the day.

Such an incredible place and community. I was so nervous when transitioning my daughter from childminding to nursery but the staff at Filkins made me feel so incredibly at ease and such a smooth process. My daughter has since absolutely thrived in the nursery for that I'm so grateful. They are so accommodating

and the smaller village nursery feel at Filkins means my daughter gets almost the exact same time with her main contact as she would at childminders.

High-quality facilities and activities. Our child is well looked after by engaged and caring staff. The variety of educational and development focused play is brilliant and shows a deep understanding of early years educational requirements. Our child is always happy going in and is very well settled

and bonded with his key person. Having an on-site chef is a great bonus for quality, nutritious and varied meals. The chef is also very attentive to the children which is lovely to see. Management are easy to reach and responsive to any requests. We highly rate and recommend this setting.
