I love this nursery! I think since my little one moved here he has thrived! He's speech has improved massively and is more confident and independent. He's able to identify more animals, colours and count better. The staff are lovely and I can tell Ray loves them as at home he's talking about his room
leader and other staff members constantly and is always happy to be there running into the room at drop off. He also loves the ball sessions on a Thursday, leading me to get more similar sessions outside of nursery. I Also love the regular updates on what they've done in the week with pictures. I also love all the security measures here making me feel at ease. Totally recommend this nursery to everyone.

My daughter has been with the old barn nursery since June and absolutely loves it there! The staff are amazing and shes made friends with other children.
Shes really come out of her shell and has become more confident! She enjoys all the activities, playing/reading books and singing songs. Overall

Could not recommend this nursery enough. Not only is it a beautiful setting at Winkworth but the nursery staff are all so friendly and professional. We ended up moving our child to this nursery from another and they absolutely love it, they genuinely seem so happy after each nursery session. The updates
are regular and in real time, and frequent pictures are sent to show us what they are getting up to and my child is always smiling and looks so happy! The food provided is nutritious and my child eats and sleeps so well there!

We moved our son from a nursery in town in January, as he loves being outdoors. We have been so impressed with the nursery and the team. All of the staff are so friendly and caring, led by the wonderful Karlene. Our son's key worker is Rachel, who he adores. The nursery and the staff create such a lovely
and warm atmosphere - to us, it is the closest thing to leaving our son with family members, and we are absolutely delighted. We are in the midst of potty training our son, and the team are so patient and understanding with him. With us they are relaxed and reassuring, and it is clear that our son loves them, and they adore him too. We get daily updates about the activities he has been doing, always outside. The activities are always so creative, engaging and interesting - no two days are the same. Our son comes home with a huge smile on his face and muddy wellies, which is the sign of a day well spent. We would 100% recommend Little Forest Folk Winkworth

Our child started at Little Forest Folk Winkworth this winter and we are so pleased that we made the decision to move them from their previous setting. We had been worried that a cold January start would make settling in harder, particularly at 19 months old, but it couldn't have gone more smoothly.
We are SO glad that we didn't wait until later in the year, as our child seems so much happier and loves getting outdoors and muddy. Karlenne is an absolutely fantastic manager and very quickly developed a lovely bond with our child, as have the other staff who are all great too! We love that the group is mixed age and not too large - it definitely feels more like a little family, with much less of a daycare vibe than our child's previous setting. The staff also take a very practical approach to things and we are really happy with the relaxed and straightforward way that they have dealt with the couple of small incidents our child has caused, as well as their respectful and caring manner with the children

We've had such a positive experience with the team at Old Barn since our Dexter started in January. The team have been incredibly supportive and patience with his transition into nursery and his new routine. His settling in sessions before starting were so well thought out and made me feel at ease for
when he started properly - making it a much smoother transition. I drop Dexter to nursery happy and don't worry about him knowing he's in safe, loving hands.

My 15month son has been with Chayse & her wonderful team since he was 11 months old & we truly couldn't be happier. They have been amazing with him, & it's been a joy to watch his confidence, skills & personality grow over the past few months. The team are attentive & always happy to accommodate our
preferences, from milk choices to following his usual sleep routine, which gives us great reassurance.
The room feels warm & welcoming at drop-off, especially seeing the babies enjoying breakfast together. We love receiving photo updates during the day, which give us a lovely glimpse into his activities & smiles. At pick-up, we're given thoughtful handovers so we always feel informed. He's often happily exploring the cosy sensory room at the top of the garden, which he clearly loves. A huge thank you to Chayse, Louise & Chloe for making his transition smooth, stress-free & so positive.

Our daughter started with the nursery in Nov 2025, she was 16 months old and we were extremely nervous about this change as she wasn't comfortable with adults outside of her direct family. Chayse, Amber, Laura and the team have been exceptional, our daughter started in the baby unit and settled in really
well, all of the staff members really took time to bond and understand her, this was so comforting for my wife and I. The way the team managed her sleep and food gave us so much confidence. Recently our daughter has moved into the pre toddler room and she is loving it, I can see how happy she is and how much of a great day she has had every time I pick her up. I have so much confidence in the entire staff. Laura, Amber, Chayse and Luisa are who I have had most interaction with and they have been amazing with us and our daughter.

My wife and I have been blown away by the quality of the car at the Old Barn. Our son is just coming to the end of his time in the baby room at the end of next month and we're really sad to be leaving the team, but also so excited for him to progress to the next stage. Every time I'm able to either
pick up, or drop off my son, I can feel the care that the team give to each child they have with them. They're quick to communicate, quick to praise and very good at providing gentle advise in a non-judgmental way should they think we could work on certain behavioural aspects at home. Coming to the old barn has been one of the best decisions we've ever made for our son.

We've had a wonderful experience at Old Barn, in the baby room and having now moved to to pre toddlers. The staff are lovely and caring, we stay informed of how things have gone throughout the day, and they've gone above and beyond to provide community days for parents (such as a Halloween celebration)
which really helps foster community. I think best of all is that the staff are consistent and there isn't high turnover like at some nurseries. You know exactly who is watching your child all day, and they really get to know your child on a deeper level. My only negative is that it is quite pricey in comparison to others in the area.

Our twin boys are 16 months old and they have been going to Dawnys since they were 1 years old. They absolutely love it and I feel happy and reassured they are both well looked after. The communication is great, especially through the app as it allows parents to see naps, lunches etc.

As a parent, the thought of leaving your little one with someone new can be incredibly daunting. However, from the very beginning, Liliputs has felt like an extension of our family. My son runs into nursery each day and comes out with the biggest smile on his face - and that's no coincidence. It's a
true reflection of the care, effort, kindness, and love shown by the staff, along with the thoughtful personal touches they provide.
Because of this wonderful experience, we had no hesitation in enrolling our daughter, who will be starting at Liliputs in January 2026.

Our son has been attending the day nursery and forest school for six months now and he absolutely loves it! I was really impressed with the initial home visit the nursery made. I thought this was an excellent way to introduce our son and a good way to know the family and ensure safeguarding.
My son's
development has grown leaps and bounds since starting and he always comes home a happy little boy. The staff are very attentive and caring and provide the children with lots of enrichment and fun! Leah, my son's key worker is just fabulous and he's built such a lovely rapport with her. The forest school run by Lorraine is such a wonderful addition and provides such great outdoor skills and activities. The nursery have also held great little parties (summer, Halloween etc) for the children and family which has been so welcoming. We are incredibly happy with nursery and know our son is very happy here.

My daughter has been at the nursery since a baby. The staff are so warm and kind and I instantly felt at ease there. Daisey who runs the nursery was so helpful and reassured me on all my worries about her joining. It was the best decision I made. She's so happy there and it's wonderful to see such a
great team of staff who really care. You can tell that comes from Daisey at the helm. Can't speak highly enough of them. I'll be sad when she has to leave as it feels like a family.

I cannot speak highly enough of The Old Barn Nursery. From the moment we arrive each morning, we are greeted with warmth, kindness, and genuine care - not just for the children, but for the whole family.
The staff consistently make the start of the day calm and reassuring, taking the time to welcome
my grandchild with smiles, encouragement, and familiar routines that clearly make them feel safe and happy. It brings me such peace of mind knowing they are being left in such caring and capable hands.
I have seen first-hand how attentive and nurturing the team are, and how well they truly know each child as an individual. My grandchild has grown in confidence, independence, and happiness, and it's clear how much he enjoys his time at nursery.
The Old Barn Nursery is a very special place with a wonderful team who go above and beyond every single day. As a grandmother, it is incredibly comforting to know my grandchild is so well cared for - we are truly grateful and highly recommend them.

My son thrived within Lilliputs, all the staff have a hands on and fun approach to the children. The facilities are fantastic, encourages learning and playing. I found Daisey to be warm and friendly and she has such a natural way with the children, she has really bought out the confident side to my
son.
Cannot recommend Lilliputs enough.

I couldn't recommend Laura, Chayse and all their amazing team that look after the babies at the old barn.
My daughter has had the best care since joining in October and am constantly reassured by the team of her welfare. I regularly receive updates about what she's doing including photos and will
also get a heads up if they notice an illness up and coming (which has been frequent)!
Chayse often checks in on how I am personally going above and beyond measures of her duty's. The team also leaves out little breakfast to-go for the parents if they are in a rush, a gesture so sweet and considerate for those morning rushes.
Thank you staff for giving me such reassurance knowing my daughter is in the best hands.

Little Forest Folk Winkworth has been an amazing nursery for my son. All of the staff are really friendly and have done an amazing job at easing my child into forest school. He loves attending each week and has so many amazing experiences in the forest. He loves playing with his friends, building dens,
exploring different plants, gardening and going on adventure walks. It's a fantastic place for him to grow.
