We recommend this nursery to all looking for a safe fun place for their child. From the facilities to the staff and food and activities they are all 5 star and both my boys love it there. They have both come on leaps and bounds.

Lilliputs has been wonderful my daughter is 17months old and has been attending Lilliputs since she was 4 months old - highly recommend this nursery for their organised, fun and caring staff! My daughter always comes home super happy and never wants to leave!

From the very beginning, starting in baby room, we have had a great experience at Lilliput. It's never easy leaving your child in the care of others but our daughter has always loved going to nursery. Not only does she love going but her speech and development has significantly improved. Our second
daughter starts at the nursery later this year and I am sure will have a great experience.

My daughter is my second child that I've now sent to Lilliput she started in the new year and she is loving it she's only 10 months old and has progressed just from the 2 days she's at the nursery a week. They were brilliant with my son and now have been good with my daughter I would definetly recommend
it to anyone

The staff are all very friendly and warm. They clearly care about the children and give a lot of feedback about their day and their progress. They also make sure there are lots of settling in sessions before starting or moving up a class, which is reassuring and gives the child the time to adjust. The
app is super useful - it's great to see what they are eating during the day and how much of it. The recent renovations look great too!

Our daughter has been at Liliputs since July 2025 and we have been so pleased with how much she loves her time there. The staff are so friendly, caring and supportive, always being so attentive and respectful to the children and parents.


Our daughter settled in so well when she first started in the

baby room, and has since enjoyed moving up a room and exploring/learning more. The facilities are lovely, they are always doing activities and going outside, and the food is varied and nutritious.


The app has made it really easy to check in on how she is doing, communicate with management if needed, and best of all getting lovely photos and observations on what she's been up to and learning.

My eldest has been at Lilliput for 2 and a half years, and my littlest for 6 months now. They both absolutely love it and we're so happy with our choice! All of the staff are incredible, they put so much effort into creating fun activities and good learning activities. The multiple rooms allows for
continuous exploration and development. They've invested so much recently into creating even lovelier spaces. The menu is incredible, they're focused on giving the children a healthy and varied diet. The focus on environment, looking after the chickens, planting in the garden is all wonderful. I would highly recommend Lilliput to any prospective parents, looking for a kind, nurturing, fun and educational environment for their kids!

Our child started at this nursery in 2023 and at first it was a warm and welcoming environment. The forest school setting is wonderful, and initially the nursery felt reliable and caring.
Over the past year, however, there have been a number of changes. Several experienced and much-valued staff members
have left, and there now seems to be a heavier reliance on agency staff, which has affected consistency and continuity of care.
Some organisational changes have also been challenging. For example, the merging of two rooms for older children seemed to happen quite quickly and wasn't clearly communicated to parents. More recently, we were informed on the morning that only up to 8 children would be admitted to our son's room for the day. This last-minute notice is a clear example of the poor communication and unpredictability that has increasingly characterised the nursery.
The setting remains lovely & there is a lot of potential but the recent management and communication are poor.

Both my children attend Ashburton. My eldest has attended since a baby and is now in the Preschool room. We have really appreciated the consistency and friendliness of the staff.


They do interesting activities and my little ones particularly love the cooking club and all the crafts they do there.

Often they have learning elements mixed in with their play e.g. phonics, counting etc. We get thorough updates from the staff at pickup and sometimes throughout the day via the app.


We like that they get outside often in the garden and always come home happily after a busy day!

Can't recommend the team at Ashburton enough, our eldest has had the most amazing time and always comes home with a smile. I love this nursery! I think since my little one moved here he has thrived! He's speech has improved massively and is more confident and independent. He's able to identify more animals, colours and count better. The staff are lovely and I can tell Ray loves them as at home he's talking about his room
leader and other staff members constantly and is always happy to be there running into the room at drop off. He also loves the ball sessions on a Thursday, leading me to get more similar sessions outside of nursery. I Also love the regular updates on what they've done in the week with pictures. I also love all the security measures here making me feel at ease. Totally recommend this nursery to everyone.

Could not recommend this nursery enough. Not only is it a beautiful setting at Winkworth but the nursery staff are all so friendly and professional. We ended up moving our child to this nursery from another and they absolutely love it, they genuinely seem so happy after each nursery session. The updates
are regular and in real time, and frequent pictures are sent to show us what they are getting up to and my child is always smiling and looks so happy! The food provided is nutritious and my child eats and sleeps so well there!

We moved our son from a nursery in town in January, as he loves being outdoors. We have been so impressed with the nursery and the team. All of the staff are so friendly and caring, led by the wonderful Karlene. Our son's key worker is Rachel, who he adores. The nursery and the staff create such a lovely
and warm atmosphere - to us, it is the closest thing to leaving our son with family members, and we are absolutely delighted. We are in the midst of potty training our son, and the team are so patient and understanding with him. With us they are relaxed and reassuring, and it is clear that our son loves them, and they adore him too. We get daily updates about the activities he has been doing, always outside. The activities are always so creative, engaging and interesting - no two days are the same. Our son comes home with a huge smile on his face and muddy wellies, which is the sign of a day well spent. We would 100% recommend Little Forest Folk Winkworth

We had been worried that a cold January start would make settling in harder, particularly at 19 months old, but it couldn't have gone more smoothly.
We are SO glad that we didn't wait until later in the year, as our child seems so much happier and loves getting outdoors and muddy. Karlenne is an absolutely fantastic manager and very quickly developed a lovely bond with our child, as have the other staff who are all great too! We love that the group is mixed age and not too large - it definitely feels more like a little family, with much less of a daycare vibe than our child's previous setting. The staff also take a very practical approach to things and we are really happy with the relaxed and straightforward way that they have dealt with the couple of small incidents our child has caused, as well as their respectful and caring manner with the children

My son loves going to nursery so much, there are fun and adventures daily. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and caring. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough, it is an incredible nursery environment for child to grow.

We've had such a positive experience with the team at Old Barn since our Dexter started in January. The team have been incredibly supportive and patience with his transition into nursery and his new routine. His settling in sessions before starting were so well thought out and made me feel at ease for
when he started properly - making it a much smoother transition. I drop Dexter to nursery happy and don't worry about him knowing he's in safe, loving hands.
