A warm and welcoming setting, Ashburton House Day Nursery has created dedicated spaces for Babies - under 2 years old, Teenies - from around 20 months to around 28 months, Toddlers - aged 2 to 3 years old and Preschoolers - aged 3 to 5 years old.

Set in a spacious detached Georgian house ideally located on the High Street just by Monument Green, the setting offers both part time and full time sessions to suit busy families, as well as accepting the Early years funding for children aged 9+ months from September 2024.

Ashburton House is perfectly equipped to offer everything that children need to extend their learning and development both indoors and through exploring the outside environment. The nursery offers a delightful Mud Kitchen, a secret garden (where the children learn about growing plants from seeds and caring for them as they grow), and an exclusive covered baby garden.

Home cooked meals by the in house chef who designs and creates the menus. Amber bees Wednesday mornings - classes take children on a musical journey to explore different themes, including lots of magical props, instruments, sensory parachutes, lights and bubbles. As well as Hearbeeps sessions every Friday morning.

Our son spent three years at Ashburton and our daughter is currently at the nursery. We have had such a positive experience at Ashburton and would highly recommend it to any prospective parents. It has been so heartwarming watching our son grow over the years and I know that, even now that he has started
school, he still has such positive memories of being there. Our daughter is thriving at Ashburton and the care and attention she receives is genuinely inspiring. We will always look back very fondly on our time at Ashburton.

All three of my children have attended Ashburton House and my youngest is currently in baby room. I am so grateful for how caring the staff are, and for all the imaginative activities they come up with. My little boy bounces into nursery each morning and always seems to have a lovely day. The team at
the moment is fantastic, including management and the in house chef.

My eldest started at Ashburton in 2020 and my youngest is currently there. They have both loved their time there - staff are amazing, creating a warm and nurturing environment where both have thrived. Can't recommend them enough!

Couldn't recommend Ashburton more highly. I have 2 children that have attended (youngest currently in preschool). The staff are excellent, so caring and continuously come up with fun activities for the children to do. In preschool in particular the activities really prepare them for the transition to
school. Both my children have been extremely happy here.

We highly recommend Ashburton House. We have had our two children start from 9 months and stay through to preschool and the staff are absolutely wonderful, nurturing, warm and like a second family. The nursery manager is brilliant and we honestly cannot fault the learning and the variety of activities
available, including visits from animals, sensory baby and toddler development classes, and trips out to the park. The garden is also great! Our children have formed very strong bonds with their carers and have been so happy and settled, and when encountering transitions when first starting or between rooms the team have been flexible and mindful of the need for a bit more support. A wonderful place with many happy memories formed.

Ashburton is a fantastic nursery, you couldn't want for anything better. The staff are truly amazing, they care so much for the children and support them in every way through their early years. Everything is top notch from the big garden, on site chef and nursery filled with toys and plenty of creative

Both our children have attended Ashburton House Day Nursery, with our youngest starting last September. Both our children have really enjoyed their time at Ashburton, the staff have been brilliant, they have a great outdoor space and lovely development spaces indoors like the sensory areas. The meals

We love Ashburton House Day Nursery! Our son had just turned 2 years old when we moved into this area and he first attended this nursery. We were very nervous as he had been under the care of a local childminder since he was very little and who he had a very close relationship with.
He started in
teenies and got soon attached to his key worker and other carers. We could quickly see improvements in all areas such as motor skills, communication and nutrition (he is a very picky eater and he now eats much more food). They made the whole process easy and loving. He gets all the cuddles he needs. He is now in toddlers.
We love that every single member of staff knows him so he trusts and feels safe with everyone in the nursery. It's a proper family.
Food is excellent (freshly made on site), lots of activities and a great outdoor space to enjoy all year round as a big part of it is covered.
We have nothing but gratitude and we plan to keep our son in Ashburton until he moves on to school.

Fantastic nursery where our son attended for a year, all staff were very kind and caring, big thank you, especially to all key staff who were so kind and caring to our son during his time at Ashburton.

My son started in baby and was clearly very well taken care of. He recently moved into toddlers and the team has been very good with helping him settle in. There is a great range of fun activities (indoor and outdoor) my son is always happy to attend the nursery.

We have had 2 daughters at Ashburton House over the last 5 years and absolutely love the staff and the setting. The team is well managed with clear comms from both the office and the room staff. The children have great food and are well looked after with a variety of play, indoors and outside. The children
have gone from babies through to preschool at Ashburton and have left ready for school in all ways - motor skills, language and socially.

I cannot recommend Ashburton House Day Nursery highly enough!
The staff are incredibly caring and nurturing, and have made my children feel right at home.
The variety of activities offered is impressive, supporting the children's learning and development in a fun and engaging way.
The children
are fed nutritious and varied food for their meals and have always eaten well.
The management team is excellent, always approachable and responsive to any queries or concerns.
The nursery is well-organised, clean, and safe, giving us peace of mind that our children are in good hands.

My 17-month-old son loves attending Ashburton House. He has been in the babies room for a few months, and fitted in great. All of the staff across the nursery are very friendly, and helpful to the little ones, he comes away so happy.
They always do great activities with the children, keeping them
fully entertained, and constantly learning.
The food menu always looks good. I have been told my son asks for second helpings, so that is a good sign!

We have been really happy with Ashburton House Day Nursery since our 2-year-old son started here. He has learned so much from the key workers and talks about the nursery all the time. We feel that he is being cared for really well and generally feel the warmth from all the staff members there. He also
seems to be flourishing in the environment, and with all the friends he is making. We love that they spend time in different spaces during the day, it makes such a difference! We have been very pleased with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager - both very communicative and helpful. Very happy with our experience so far.

We have been using Ashburton House Day Nursery since 2019. We cannot recommend them highly enough. The care and compassion they show towards the children is second to none and they're always there to support you. The opportunities they offer the children in a nursery environment are phenomenal and the
garden renovation has had a huge impact in allowing the children to play in different spaces. It is nothing but welcoming and my son enjoys going every day.

Our daughter has been with Ashburton House Day Nursery since she was only 8 months old and is currently in the toddler room. She has thrived there and clearly has a special relationship with a number of the practitioners who have looked after her across the different rooms. The nursery has a family
feel and is a nurturing environment. Every day she comes home talking about various activities, messy play, fun in the garden or trips out to see the ducks. Our second will be starting in a few months and I feel lucky that he will have the same people looking after him as well.
