The standard of care and education at Corner House is exceptional. Our daughter's cognitive, emotional, social and physical development has been amazing during her time at the nursery. She loved going to nursery and she has made so many new friends. The staff cares deeply about the children and they
have always been supportive and responsive with all of our questions. They provide regular observations regarding our daughter's development with pictures, which we love to see. We are very happy to be part of Corner House family and I highly recommend the nursery to any parent.

Our son attended Park Hill for two wonderful years, and we could not be more grateful for the care, warmth, and dedication shown by the entire team. From the very first day, the staff made him feel safe, welcomed, and excited to come in each morning.
The teachers are genuinely passionate about early
years development, taking the time to understand each child's personality, interests, and needs. We saw our son grow in confidence, make close friendships, and develop a real love for learning. The activities are creative and varied; from sensory play and outdoor adventures to early literacy and numeracy, all while keeping play at the heart of learning.
Communication with parents is excellent. We always felt well-informed about his progress, daily activities, and any little moments worth celebrating. The environment is bright, clean, and thoughtfully set up to spark curiosity and independence.
Reply from Saffron Blevin, Nursery manager at Park Hill School & Nursery

Thank you for taking the time to submit this review of our nursery. It has been a pleasure watching and supporting your son to grow and develop during his time with us and grow into a confident young man. We wish him all the best in his new school.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery for around eight months now, and we couldn't be happier with her progress. From those early days of settling in to now confidently walking in on her own, it's clear she feels happy, secure, and excited to be there. She has thrived, becoming more independent,
curious, and confident in herself.
We've seen so much positive development in her during this time, and we know this is thanks to the warm, caring, and dedicated staff who make the nursery such a nurturing environment. Our daughter attends five days a week and always goes in with a smile, which says it all. We're truly grateful for the support, kindness, and encouragement she receives every day.

My little girl started nursery in July, and it has been an absolutely wonderful journey so far. In just a short time, we've seen such beautiful progress in her confidence, independence, and overall development.
One of the things I especially love is the emphasis on outdoor exploration and nature-based
learning, which gives a sense of curiosity and adventure.
The individual attention and genuine care she receives each day make us feel so reassured as parents. I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a caring, personalised setting that also encourages children to explore, imagine, and grow.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their dedication and kindness - you are making a lifelong impact.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since March in the baby room and she absolutely loves it! The staff are brilliant and the care, attention and support that they provide has been outstanding.
My daughter attends 3 times a week, all year round and even asks to go on her non-nursery days.
She goes in happy and comes out happy and I couldn't ask for more than that.
The staff are very supportive of the children and they also help support what you are trying to achieve at home.
A really wonderful nursery and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Having moved around and experienced several nursery settings for both of my children, The Orchard Day Nursery has been the very best. Now that my youngest has graduated, I'll truly miss the warm smiles that welcomed us every morning. She has been so happy here, learned so much, and grown into an amazingly
independent little girl. The variety of activities - from Teddy Tennis and Theater Bugs to Spanish lessons and outings - are meaningful and enriching. The staff are wonderful, caring, and clearly love the children. There's little turnover, which brings great consistency and comfort. The manager is exceptional - working tirelessly and always going above and beyond to give the children the best start in life. Orchard also makes a real effort to involve parents - inviting us in for special events, celebrations and shared experiences. My daughter has thrived here and is more than ready for school. I couldn't recommend Orchard Day Nursery more highly!!

I have two children at Little Lodge Nursery and have been pleased with our experience. The staff are very caring and attentive and listen to any concerns we have. They have access to large outdoor spaces giving the children room to explore and play. The variety of extra-curricular activities the pre-school
children particularly engage in is great. They also now take children from 9 months and I have been very impressed with the care they take and activities they engage in with this age group.

Our daughter joined the nursery back in April and she absolutely loves it! This is her first nursey setting, so settling in took a few weeks but all the staff were so supportive and kind through the process. The updates on the app are great and you can see the children playing and having fun with eachother.
My daughter loves having cuddles with her teachers and feels safe and at ease when at nursery - she always comes out happy.
We have noticed big changes in her development and eating so we are very thankful for the teachers amazing work!

the children. I am thank you to all of those who have settled my son into his daily routine. He comes out most days saying he's had an amazing day.

Corner House Day Nursery

Our child started attending the nursery when he was just over two years old, and we've had a truly positive experience ever since. The teachers are experienced and caring - they helped him settle in smoothly during the early days and supported his development with patience and understanding.

Throughout

his time at nursery, the staff have encouraged him to build essential self-care skills and gently guided him in learning how to play and interact with other children. They've also done a great job noticing his interests and helping him explore them.

We especially appreciated the regular updates through the nursery's app, it was lovely to see photos and notes about his day, and it helped us feel more connected to what he was doing and learning.

We're very grateful for the support and care the team has given our child, and we'll always look back on this time fondly.

My daughter has been attending Little Lodge for only a matter of weeks and has settled incredibly well.
Any fears I had about leaving her were soon washed away. The staff have all been very professional, warm and kind towards both me and my daughter.
She enjoys her days at the nursery, and even when
she's not there is asking about "school".The activities are so varied; and i enjoy getting updates via the app about mealtimes and photos of what she's been doing throughout the day

Essendene Lodge School Nursery

My son had the most supportive team of the most professional teachers. The Senior Leadership here have been second to none and I would wholeheartedly recommend this school. The care and nurture shown to both of my children has been extremely attentive but most of all an aspect my son particularly needed
to accommodate some special needs he had. The school were super-efficient and listened to all of our concerns and did not wait to fulfil all of his needs the first day he started here. My son would be staying here but he has been offered an assessment place for his speech and language, which is why I am changing his setting for intense therapy, but my son loves it here and will be sad to go. We had been in search for a school for a couple of years and by far Essendene has been a true blessing and gift for our children and surpassed our expectations. Both my children have developed rapidly in their speech & language and confidence here and I thank the amazing teachers and support staff.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Essendene. From the moment we joined, it was clear that the staff are not only highly qualified, but also genuinely passionate about early childhood education. The teachers go above and beyond to create a nurturing, stimulating, and supportive environment
where every child can thrive.

One of the standout features has been the structured approach to early learning, particularly in phonics. The preschool does a fantastic job preparing children for reception, ensuring they are confident and eager learners by the time they move on. It's incredibly reassuring to know our child is gaining such a strong educational foundation.

Communication is also a real strength of this preschool. We receive regular updates on our child's progress, activities, and even little day-to-day highlights, which really helps us feel connected and involved. It's clear that the staff take great care in making sure parents are well-informed and engaged.

Our daughter has always been cautious about change but she settled into Essendene after having been at another nursery for years prior very quickly. She has learned so much at the preschool. They do school trips and lots of great activities with the kids all centred around learning and education. We
have seen her progress leaps and bounds. We would highly recommend Essendene to anyone.

The Orchard Day Nursery

Both our children have been to Orchard and we have been so happy with their care. The staff are warm and caring and the turnover is very low. The manager is organised with great communication with parents and is very dedicated to the nursery and the children. Since she started at the nursery it has
gone from strength to strength including the introduction of various events where parents can spend some time in the nursery. There are lots of enriching activities with external teachers. I love that they celebrate important events from different cultures. Both our children have learnt to recognise and write letters and numbers very early and they have great reading facilities and foster a love of stories. The outside space is nice and big compared to many other local nurseries. The food is cooked freshly on site and is varied with different cuisines. They use the app well to keep parents updated throughout the day. Our daughter runs in happily every day. We will miss Orchard!
