I couldn't be more over the moon with how my child has settled at Little Oaks. The staff have been wonderful in helping him settle in and really grow and develop.

You can tell there is a strong understanding of key factors in helping them develop, his cognition has greatly improved aiding his speech

and overall understanding.

Not only that, they have been on numerous trips which is fantastic for toddlers to get out in the world and see other people, especially going to see a Christmas pantomime!

The staff are all wonderful and so helpful, especially if we have any questions or needs that need to be met.

Moving him here was one of the best decisions we've made!

We moved our little boy (2.5 year old) to this nursery in September 2025 and right from the start we knew it was the best thing we could have done. From day 1 the nursery staff were brilliant. They were so caring and welcoming, took the time to get to know our little boy, and they went above and beyond
to help settle him. From setting up activity stations tailored to his interests, to taking him for a walk across the grounds to see the ducks, the care and individual attention has been great. We're very impressed by the effort and activities they do with him each day, and he comes out every day saying 'I love it there'! Our boy has formed a great bond with his key worker which makes it easier to leave him and makes us trust that he's being well cared for - thank you! Overall we're really impressed and relieved to have found somewhere that we love. Thank you to all the staff who have helped our boy settle, it makes such a difference to feel like he's genuinely cared for.

We were nervous, but it started off well with lots of reassurances. Then issues started to stack up over the 3 weeks that our 13 month old boy was here.
1. They assured us the chef was a baby nutritionist. The food that was given to our boy was poor. Chocolate mouse, ice cream, doughnuts, cakes. One
time we picked him up they gave us a fish cake to take. It was a cheap frozen one. We complained, they said changes would be made. Ok.
2. The 3rd week they changed his key worker without introducing/notifying us & his care went downhill rapidly. Notes on app were wrong, his nappy wasn't changed for 6-7 hours. They denied this, but his bum was so red/sore when we got home.
3. We came to collect him early that day due to the nappy issue & we saw he was left crying on his own by the window. When they saw us coming they looked stressed, rushed over to him & made up a story. Something was off.
More issues, but this is the most I can write on here & we withdrew our son as our trust was broken.
Reply from Monica Kumar, Nursery Manager at Little Oaks NurseryWe are truly sorry to hear that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. The wellbeing and care of every child in our nursery is always our top priority, and we take all feedback very seriously.
We did offer to meet and discuss your concerns in detail, as sometimes things that are seen or presumed can be misunderstood without full context. Unfortunately, you chose not to take up the opportunity to talk further. We believe that open communication is the best way to resolve any issues, as it allows both sides of the situation to be heard and understood.
We regret that you feel your trust was broken and that your time with us ended this way. We wish you and your family all the best for the future and hope your little one continues to thrive in their next setting.

Very happy with the nursery so far, they have contributed well to my daughter's development and settled her in so beautifully. The food is brilliant and they offer a wide variety. My daughter never comes home dirty or unhappy, they take such good care of her and ensure she's happy.
I'd like her to
get outdoors a little more, now there is astroturf and I have supplied wellies and an all in one I feel she would enjoy this.
Reply from Monica Kumar, Nursery Manager at Little Oaks NurseryThank you for your kind words and feedback. We are glad your daughter enjoys the day at nursery.

Our child has settled in incredibly well since starting in September 2025, and we couldn't be happier with the experience so far. The staff are consistently friendly, polite, and wonderfully patient, which has made the transition smooth and reassuring for both us and our child.

We've noticed a significant

improvement in our child's development since joining. It's clear that the team takes a person-centred approach to learning, tailoring activities to support each child's individual needs and interests. One of the loveliest things to see is how our child recognises their key workers and gets genuinely excited to see them each day this speaks volumes about the care and bonds formed there.

The nursery environment is always clean, safe, and welcoming. It's evident that a lot of thought goes into creating a space where children can learn, play, and grow confidently.

Overall, we are extremely grateful for the positive impact this nursery has had on our child and would highly recommend it.

My 2 year old daughter was attending this nursery from middle of September to 23 of October. In that short time of period she had 4 accidents with one ended up in a&e. Official complaints about safety of my child didn't really helped as even after the complaint the accidents keep happening. My daughter
was attending other nursery prior to little oaks and a childminder at the weekends with no issues not even single accident.
Unfortunately with little oaks that wasn't the case. Every week I got accidents reports that my daughter was injured.I heard only excuses that unfortunate accidents can happen and from her first key person quoting " I can't look after your child all the time".
The setting is lovely and I hoped to send my daughter to school there however I had to immediately withdraw her from the little oaks nursery due to lack of safeguarding. I received a refund of remaining days and withdrawal went smoothly. Hopefully they will improve keeping the children safe
Reply from Monica Kumar, Nursery Manager at Little Oaks NurseryThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience and the concerns you have raised regarding your daughter's time at Little Oaks Nursery. The safety and well-being of all children in our care are our highest priorities, and we take any safeguarding concerns extremely seriously.
We also want to acknowledge that we worked very closely with you to address your concerns and find a resolution. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we were unable to reach a mutual agreement, and we are genuinely sorry that this was the outcome.
We are pleased that the withdrawal process and refund were handled smoothly, and we appreciate your acknowledgment of the nursery environment. We remain dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and high-quality setting for every child and continuously strive to improve our practices.
Once again, we apologise for your experience and thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

Our 2 yr old son has been attending this nursery for nearly 3 months now, and we couldn't be happier with the care, support and nurturing environment. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and invested in the children's wellbeing and development.

A special thanks to his key worker, who has been absolutely

fantastic from the start. She takes the time to truly understand his personality, interests, and needs, and it's clear how much he has grown in confidence since being under her care. Her communication is always thoughtful and reassuring. She goes above and beyond to make sure he feels safe, included, and encouraged.

We are grateful for the positive impact the staff have had on his nursery experience. They are happy to answer questions and address concerns.

Overall, this nursery provides a loving, stimulating environment. The activities are creative and engaging. Thanks to dedicated staff my son has settled in well and comes home with a smile. We would recommend this nursery.

Little Oaks has been the best decision we've made for our 30-month-old's nursery transition. He started in September after spending a year at a previous nursery, and within just four days we noticed a dramatic change in his personality. His speech has improved tremendously, his interests have expanded,
and his confidence and independence have grown so much.

The care he receives is truly exemplary. The practitioners are amazing, they give thoughtful attention to each child, which I believe really supports their individual development.

I've been recommending Little Oaks to anyone who will listen! We're so happy we made this choice for our little boy, and I feel completely confident that he's in great hands and will be well prepared for school.

In the short time my little girl has been attending the nursery it is clear to see the care and attention the staff have towards the individual needs of the children. My 2 year old is going through the natural stage of separation anxiety so drop off can be a little teary, however a huge thank you to
her key worker, practitioners and nursery manager who have made this transition so much easier for both me and my daughter. Regular updates and photos throughout the day are reassuring for us as parents and reinforces the personalised care my daughter receives. The photos show my daughter being given an abundance of exciting opportunities to learn through play and exploring the wonderful outdoor provision the nursery has to offer. I am excited for her journey to continue and see her independence grow. I would absolutely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a kind, family feel setting with very experienced and dedicated staff. We couldn't ask for a better setting! Thank you again.

My little girl started nursery in July, and it has been an absolutely wonderful journey so far. In just a short time, we've seen such beautiful progress in her confidence, independence, and overall development.
One of the things I especially love is the emphasis on outdoor exploration and nature-based
learning, which gives a sense of curiosity and adventure.
The individual attention and genuine care she receives each day make us feel so reassured as parents. I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a caring, personalised setting that also encourages children to explore, imagine, and grow.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their dedication and kindness - you are making a lifelong impact.

Current Review Score: 8.5 (8.542)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.542) out of 10 for Little Oaks Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.392 for Little Oaks Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (94 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (5 Poors x 2) + (10 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 130 Ratings = 4.392
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.15 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Oaks Nursery is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 100 number of registered child places is 20. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 20 = 0.45
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
