Our son goes to Ruskin House for nearly three years now, started in their baby room and is now in preschool. He is super happy there and the staff are amazing. Very kind, supportive and creative. There was no significant staff turnover during his time meaning that they were able to create a very stable and nurturing environment for him. The rooms are tidy, colorful, lots of toys and learning equipment provided with a slightly small but fun outdoor space as well. He loves the mud kitchen there. Oh, and he loves the food!
My son has been at Ruskin House for 7 months and he has been so well cared for and loved. Everyone is so friendly and caring. We are very happy with our decision and would recommend the nursery to everyone.
Ruskin House is an excellent nursery providing wonderful care. My son had trouble settling in when joining and when moving up to different rooms but the staff have been great with helping him to adjust. He is very happy there and I love that there are lots of varied and imaginative activities, and that children get to spend time outside.
Ruskin House School is an excellent nursery that foster a loving and supportive atmosphere around the children, akin to an extended family. Cor staff turnover is low and they are extremely experienced. It's clear they are here because they love their job and they love children. The freshly prepared food is good quality with a varied menu, good kitchen facilities and chef sit behind this. The facilities and curriculum on offer specifically meet children's needs at each stage of development. The nursery also has excellent opening times as they try to meet the needs of working parents.
Our little boy was 6m when he started at Nursery. The staff in the baby room catered for his individual needs even though he was younger than the others. I was nervous about him being so young at nursery but he has gone on to thrive there. He has made friends, it's a joy to see him interacting with the other children, loves his routine and enjoys playing with the toys and in the playground. Most importantly the staff in the baby room are so loving and have such an upbeat attitude - it has really rubbed off on him as he is such a happy kid.
Impressed with this caring, education-focused, and loving nursery. We took our shy daughter there from age 2 to 4 and she settled in well and was given lots of support to thrive. The nursery offers a wide range of activities and the children seem very happy and have great foundational learning skills. The facilities are lovely and a decent-sized garden. It would be better if the children also ventured out as the space although nice is limited but they seem to make up for it with lots of thoughtful activities. Communication can be chaotic but full confidence that your child is well looked after and cared for.
Have had 2 children go through the nursery. Absolutely delightful nursery. Incredibly caring staff, lots of great activities, plenty of time out doors and really caring and responsive management. Can't recommend it more highly!
Fabulous team - hard-working, positive and caring. The children get wonderful, loving care and all seem very happy. Our child has been well looked after these past few years and has learnt so much. His development has been amazing. Lots of flexibility if you need to move days around. Thank you Ruskin House!
Our child has been so happy at Ruskin House. The staff are caring, loving and attentive and always go above and beyond. She has developed into a considerate, playful and confident child, and we are so grateful for RHS's part in this. We will miss everyone there immensely as she moves into reception, fully prepared for her experience ahead.
Ruskin House is a very good nursery, as a new mother sending my daughter I was very anxious and worried, but the staff and management were very supportive. My daughter is now getting more comfortable in the nursery and it's nice to see all the updates and activities they do. I would definitely recommend this nursery to others.
Mixed bag. Our child was here for a few years, and I never felt totally comfortable with it but also never terrible. Biggest issue is management always changing and totally overwhelmed and act like they are doing you a favour by talking to you about an issue. Facilities are small but well kept. A lot of construction ongoing in the last year. I think the staff try their best, but now that we have moved somewhere else we see how much better things can be.
My child started at Ruskin House School at 19 months old. She has learnt so much. Her social skills have improved immensely. Her speech/use of vocabulary has enhanced since attending Ruskin House School. The staff are all friendly, I love the daily updates on the app. The staff always go above and beyond to make sure all children's needs are met. I have a child who has allergies, the nursery does a great job making sure children with allergies have a huge selection of food at all meal times.
Both have walked in happily and come home happily.
We’re really happy with their development both socially and educationally.
Staff are really friendly and have been there for a long time too - it’s really nice how they give the kids that consistency.
School transition was easy too.
They also are flexible on days - when I need extra cover they are happy to help.
At every point, we felt that the team, facilities and events were first-rate. He was cared for and his development was nurtured in a way I found to be above my expectations for a nursery setting. We received daily updates on our children's day (first on paper, and later via the app). It was very reassuring.
The preschool provision in particular was incredible at ensuring our eldest had as smooth a transition to the formal school environment as possible and had a super start into Key Stage 1. I am always impressed at how well-run things are at Ruskin House, and very grateful for the care and support they have provided to my eldest, and continue to provide to my youngest.
