Without a hesitation we would recommend this nursery. Our daughter has been going to Little Rooks since June 2024 and she has enjoyed every second of it. We has tried 2 other nurseries in the area and so glad we moved to Little Rooks as we could notice a difference in weeks of her being there. The staff are all lovely and work with parents rather than stringent rules other nurseries can adopt. They have given her a fantastic start to her learning, people are always shocked she is only 4.
I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. From the very first day, the staff have been incredibly welcoming, patient, and genuinely caring. They take the time to get to know each child individually, and it really shows in how happy, confident, and settled my child is there - great members of staff in a warm and caring environment!
Could not recommend Little Rooks enough! The staff are so friendly and truly do want the very best for our precious little ones. Our little girl used to struggle going to nursery but since moving her to Little Rooks she runs in through the door chatting about what she is going to do during the day, we hear so much from her about how happy she is and she is showing so much progress in her developing skills! We would recommend Little Rooks to anyone now!
Everyone seems very on the ball with care needs, especially allergy worries.
Friendly and just genuinely excited to see the kids everyday. :)
Great nursery and fantastic teachers too. He's developed and learnt so much in the year he has been there. It is also preparing him very well for school next year. My little boy loves it there - Thank you
Rookwood nursery has been great for our daughter. The consistent staff team are friendly, professional and caring. She's really enjoying the activities in the pre school room and the transition was really good.
Her confidence has flourished. She's learning French and adores being able to explore and enjoys being outside so much. We really feel that this move will get her ready for her transition to year R when she starts school next year.
It's been a wonderful experience for my child and there is nothing from my point of view that needs improvement. The teachers and staff have been wonderful, supportive and caring. My child had a lovely experience here.
Regular updates and progress reports.
Flexible and make time to hear parents' views and needs.
Facilities are upgraded regularly with due attention given to parental feedback.
We are happy that our child went to a nursery that helps and supports her to start her school and life journey with solid steps.
I have been nothing but impressed with Little Rooks Nursery. From contacting them to viewing their nursery. They were able to get us registered and take my son at short notice. Since my son has been there (he started middle of February 2024) he has come on leaps and bounds with his talking. He had a speech delay and could not put two words together until he went to Little Rooks. The updates are so nice to see all through an app, you can also contact the nursery rather than ring them they get back to you which is so easy. The staff and management are brilliant all so friendly, they keep you updated and ask questions if they would like to know anything. Also to add the food! I get to see the menu now my son is a bit of a picky eater but not here, he manages to eat all of his snacks/lunches etc and it is so nice to hear he has eaten everything. I am so glad I have put my son here.
The staff are very engaging and professional and our daughter loves spending time outside and in her additional lessons.
Our intentions had been to place our daughter in a different nursery - the same our older son had attended.
However we moved home and that nursery was now a much further drive away so we just thought we’d look at a few nurseries that were now in walking distance from our new home and so we considered Little Rooks.
Having loved our last nursery we had really high standards and expectations but the moment we looked around, we knew our daughter would come here. We were impressed by the setting as a whole and she loved her taster session, asking to go back the next day! She’s been wonderfully happy ever since.
She has fun, plays with her friends, is being stretched and looks forward to going every day. And as a parent, we can’t ask for much more than that.
Her teachers are knowledgeable and helped her settle in and I’m sure she’ll continue to love her time at Little Rooks.
I was very apprehensive about my son starting nursery but from the day we looked around I knew Little Rooks was right for us. It’s a small setting which was just what we wanted. All the teachers and classroom assistants are just wonderful. They are amazing with the children and my son has come on leaps and bounds with his speech, communication and confidence since starting Little Rooks and I can’t thank them enough for the wonderful, attentive job they do there. They even got him to nap! Highly recommend this nursery, I can think of no faults!
Every nursery member of staff are amazing. We couldn’t be happier. We love that they have taken them out on school trips recently. The nursery always looks clean and activities are always set out for the day.
Our 3-year-old daughter attended Little Rooks Nursery for a couple of months in an interim period whilst we were moving house. She is naturally shy and can take quite some time to settle into new surroundings, so we were amazed at how quickly she took to it. The staff have clearly spent time getting to know her and making her feel safe and comfortable. She skips into nursery in the morning and tells us all about her friends and the lovely activities they do - gymnastics, dance and football. We will be sorry to say goodbye.
Thank you for your kind words. We wish you all the luck with your move, your daughter will be missed at Little Rooks and we wish her all the best for the future.
My son went to Little Rooks from September 2022 until July 2023. My son loved his time here, all the staff were very friendly and caring. He enjoyed taking part in a large range of activities, his favourites were a visit from a bin truck and meeting some alpacas.
Our granddaughter thrived and enjoyed every day she was there- she was having fun while learning so much, which is so very important for our little one.
She is a confident, bright young lady thanks to the staff and we feel assured, with their support, we have given her the best possible start to life and her learning.
Little Rooks is an excellent early years setting, we would recommend it to everyone, and we really cannot thank them enough.

"Since 2007, I have worked in all through schools and believe that there are significant advantages to children attending such schools. We, as teachers and educators, get to know each child as an individual and understand how they learn best, and gain a better understanding of their emotional needs."
