Oaks Nursery are pleased to announce the opening of a new baby room in Autumn 2025 to take babies from age 6 months.

At present Oaks Nursery welcomes children from age 24 months.

The purpose-built nursery welcomes children from 2 – 4 years old, 50 weeks a year. It provides a happy, caring and nurturing start to the child’s learning voyage. Located at Cherry Hinton Hall alongside the Primary School, it benefits from the school facilities as well as the grounds of the spectacular Cherry Hinton Hall Park.

It is truly international, with students from all over the world, providing the child’s first step into the fun, safe, caring and multicultural world of their school.

The nursery provides more than just day-care and a place for children to be safe -  it provides a place for them to make their first friends and for parents, to meet a wider circle of like-minded caring families, many from across the world.

We love Oaks! It gives a sense of family that no other nursery that we have tried has given. The setting in the hall is beautiful and so privileged to give access to nature to the kids. Learning methods are really good and playful, fantastic for these ages. Children are really well prepared to reception

I highly recommend this nursery. My daughter has attended since her second birthday and we will be sending out youngest daughter as soon as she turns two. We live across town and have toured multiple nurseries in the area and none compare. Cannot recommend enough.

What we like:
The staff are experienced, kind, and there's good staff retention, which creates a consistent environment for the children.
It's great that the kids spend plenty of time outside, including regular visits to the park, which supports their physical activity and well-being.
It's great
that they include activities like music and sport, giving the kids a well-rounded experience.
What could be improved:
During winter noticed our child was sometimes underdressed despite appropriate warm clothing being provided.
The food menu could be improved with more nutritious options like stews and soups.

My kid's nursery life goes well. Recently, he can say friends names, numbers and shapes in English. Also, he enjoys drawing, colouring and creating something in the nursery.
The online learning journal is a good system to know how children are at school, and to communicate between teachers and parents.
However, my wife can't get access to it because an e-mail address with a misspelling was registered. My wife and I told about it and requested to register a correct address several times, but it has been left.

We are very happy with the nursery, the staff is kind and responsive to the children's Our son is always happy at the end of the day and has bonded with all full time staff. We like the emphasis on child-led learning and the opportunities for free play while being offered lots of fun age-appropriate
activities too. A big bonus are the music and PE classes with dedicated teachers, a benefit of being part of the primary school.

The staff at Oaks Nursery - Cambridge International School are so welcoming and friendly. They have done a wonderful job settling my son in. He loves going to nursery and is always happy at pick up. Oaks staff have done a wonderful job supporting potty training. The observation platform is kept up to
date with regular observations and its clear to see the children take part in many varied activities, including walks in the park. Wonderful nursery, environment and staff.

Both of my children have attended this nursery from the beginning of 2021 to the present and both thrived in this setting. The teachers, some of whom have been here over the years, are all lovely and caring people who really get to know the children and bring out the best in them. They plan age-appropriate
and playful activities that encourage Early Years learning in all its aspects, which are well-communicated. Our family life is greatly supported by their work, e.g. my children are quite independent with their self-care and enjoy the process of learning.
The leaders in the school have shown to foster a sense of community through the many events that they host and consider/take on feedback from parents when they have been communicated. We also feel incredibly lucky to have a local park as part of our school run and in the summer times, children from the nursery often play together in the playground, which only further encourages community amongst families.

My son is very happy when he goes to nursery. Although we arrived from another country, he took just a few days to feel comfortable and happy in this nursery.
The staff are outstanding.
The only suggestion I have is to do more activities in groups. Overall, very happy because our son comes out with
a big smile every day.

Having been born in lockdown in 2020, our daughter started off being quite shy and was quite wary of new people. But soon enough, we saw her personality truly shine and this was, to a large extent, as a result of the care and love she receives at nursery! All the staff have been very kind, and the activities

My son and daughter have had a wonderful experience at Oaks Nursery. The nursery offers a variety of fun activities, fosters curiosity and learning and organises many seasonal events. The staff are friendly provide thoughtful advice and communicate effectively with both the children and parents. Additionally,
we can clearly see what our children are doing at the nursery through the detailed weekly newsletter and comprehensive learning journals. On top of that, the location is fantastic set within a large and beautiful park that is home to many animals. I highly recommend Oaks Nursery to all parents and caregivers.

Our experience with Oaks Nursery and their staff have been fantastic. Their staff are very friendly and caring which puts us at ease every time we drop off our son every day. They take care of our son really well and they go above and beyond in making sure that he's always safe and comfortable no matter
what sort of activities are planned on the day. The nursery has excellent facilities and activities to make sure that the kids are always engaged, having fun and learning important skills on a regular basis. We highly recommend this nursery and we could not speak highly enough of it. Thank you to the staff for making sure that our son's early years developments are met with such high standards.

Leaving your toddler with anybody can be a very challenging concept, especially if you’ve had a lockdown baby.
Our son has been at this nursery for a year now, and I have never once been disappointed by the amazing team. They have a diverse range of skills and personalities and always a smile.
The
setting in the park is wonderful, and the learning environment is fresh, interesting and stimulating.
We are updated via the app with summaries of sleep and activities. This is enough for me, I don’t need to be a fly on the wall necessarily to have confidence in the nursery.
We’ve enjoyed getting to know the other kids, who all seem to get along well, and their relatives, who also seem positive about the nursery.

Our daughter has been at the Oaks International nursery for about 18-months now, and it's been fantastic.
There's been quite a lot to worry during this period shaped by the pandemic, but the nursery was definitely not one.
Oaks managed to adapt to these difficult times, and the kids kept having a
great time. Our daughter is having fun and learning a lot via plays. The nursery is in the middle of the park, so that gives them lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoor. In the nursery itself, there is also a lot of outside space, and kids spend a lot of time outside when the weather allows it.
The staff are great and very dedicated to the kids. Because it is not a very big nursery, everybody knows each other, so kids have a nice relationship with their primary carer, but also with all the other staff members.
With the international title, it attracts a lot of families who have at least one non-national parent, but it's really open to all.

Our little one has been going to Oaks International School since August 2020 and really enjoys all the daily activities at the nursery and loves interacting with the teachers. As a family, we are all extremely happy with Oaks, their amazing knowledgeable nursery staff, as well as teaching philosophy.
In terms of facilities, they have large, open-plan classrooms that allow the children to freely explore their interests. As the school is in Cherry Hinton Park, it offers the kids the chance to play outside, being in nature while feeding the ducks, learning about grey cygnets becoming white swans! In terms of activities, the kids have music and movement class and walks in the park every week. Moreover, there is a very friendly community between the parents. Since our little one started attending Oaks, I have recommended the school to many of our friends, some of which have now joined the school. There's a family feel to Oaks and the evidence is how the kids love going to nursery!

My little son started the nursery in September, thanks to very welcoming and professional staff he settled in quickly and now is happy coming in every morning. He even asks about the nursery on the days he stays at home with me. I like the way the staff approaches him in the morning and appreciate the

We are so delighted with Oaks International School nursery - our daughter (two and a half) literally runs through the gate every day, she loves the nursery so much. The staff are fabulous and give so much attention and care to each child. The setting is within a lovely big park and the children get
to spend lots of time outdoors. They also have music and gym lessons with teachers from the primary school, which is a huge perk. Couldn't recommend it more highly!

Being originally from Russia we had certain concerns on how going to English nursery would work for us, but results exceeded all expectations. Oaks International School staff works professionally with all the kids and does it perfectly. Our child is happy to go there, she only tells good stories about
how they spent their day and seem to genuinely enjoy everything about Oaks International School. Every person working there that I had to interact with is very competent, friendly and always willing to help in all your inquiries. Various kinds of activities really help your child to develop and you can the results. Would definitely recommend this school to anyone, especially to foreigners.

We love this nursery!
My son is in his third year at Oaks and my daughter started this summer. They simply adore the nursery and run inside as soon as we arrive. Facilities are lovely and spacious, the idyllic park surroundings allow the kids to explore the nature, feed the ducks etc. Staff are incredibly
friendly and qualified, always introducing new ways to learn and be creative. At Oaks we are like a big family, everyone who brings their kids here all agree on what a gem this place is!
During lockdown staff were amazing, working hard to provide the kids with new challenges and tasks every week, storytime Zoom calls etc. After reopening they have done an excellent job introducing new measurements to keep us safe. Also the privilege of large, open spaces makes the environment feel extra safe.
Bringing my kids to Oaks has been the best decision I have ever made; no other nurseries we looked at could compare. My son says he wants to stay forever.

Oaks is a special school. It's diversity and nurturing approach sets it apart from many nurseries we looked at. The staff are incredibly passionate and supportive. The interaction across age groups is also something all the kids benefit from, not to mention the international flavour.
