Tops Day Nurseries is a family of 29-day nurseries across the south, covering Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon.

Tops Day Nurseries is the most sustainable childcare and educational group in the UK. In practice, this means children are actively engaged in reducing, re-using and recycling resources; in growing and caring for animals and learning to respect each other and the environment.

Behind the scenes, Tops are working on a whole host of actions too to ensure all buildings eco-ratings are improving; that waste is separated effectively so that food waste goes to farms if possible, and is incinerated for energy if not, that none of the waste goes to landfill.

Tops area managers even have electric-only vehicles to avoid making the environment any worse for children from driving around.

The group provides children with a happy and secure environment where trained and qualified staff nurture their development through a range of activities, including messy play, cooking, problem-solving, storytelling, creative play and trips out.

Extra-curricular activities are also offered.

These include Tops forest school, tooth brushing, meditation, Tops cooking school and rugby rangers.

The nurseries care for children aged between three months and five years and offer 2, 3 and 4-year-old funding.

Staff at Tops Day Nurseries pride themselves on offering flexible hours tailored to parents’ and carers’ needs, where they can save money by booking to the nearest 15 minutes.

Tops Nursery has been amazing for my daughter! She has been attending since she was 6 months old and is now nearly 2. The staff know her inside out and she loves everyone especially her key person. My Granddaughter has settled so well in the nursery. She settles so quickly after being dropped off and comes out smiling. The photos and observations sent are lovely and really show how much she enjoys her time there. She is also trying foods at nursery that she refuses at home. She talks about the
staff in her room at home which makes it obvious to us that she has a good bond with them and feels safe.

Poole Tops has been the perfect childcare choice for our little one. We picked it because of its convenience, but we've stayed because of their care. We love that they support their staff to continually grow and develop through qualifications - it means staff take a proactive interest in the care and
activity ideas for the kids. Their staff care so deeply for every child and go out of their way to ensure each one feels included, valued, and loved; while taking real joy from seeing them thrive, learn, and grow. Their communication with us parents is fantastic - we feel well informed and supported, but not overwhelmed or harassed. They are very responsive to feedback, and have always been happy to answer my many questions! Our son LOVES nursery - he has made such deep friendships, and adores his teachers. It's prepared him so perfectly for starting school.

My son loves to come to nursery, he has made so many friends and is nearly ready to move into the preschool room!
All the staff have been wonderful to him, he is going to miss investigators but I know he will enjoy it in preschool!

My daughter absolutely loves attending nursery. She has been welcomed in by all of the staff and she now has a fantastic bond with all of them. They have been so supportive of me as well and been a listening ear when needed. They have provided support and reassurance through my little girls start on
a SEN pathway. The nursery is well maintained inside and out, and is a fantastic place for them to learn about recycling and reusables. I couldn't ask for better for us.

My daughter has been attending Top Days Warminster for a year now and I cannot recommend them enough.
From the get go the staff have been attentive, informative, warm and friendly. I absolutely love receiving detailed observations throughout the day and seeing what my daughter has been getting up
to.
We've been receiving a little bit of extra support as my daughter was a late bloomer to learning to walk which has been excellent & so reassuring.
The setting is perfect with ample outdoor space for lots of activities & lots of toys, books & creative tuff tray areas each day inside too.
I cannot fault the nursery or staff at all. My daughter has absolutely blossomed since attending. Her speech is incredible, she surprises me everyday with something new and she has made lovely connections with the other children and members of staff.
A brilliant nursery & so glad I signed her up here!

We couldn't be happier with Tops Day Nursery. My daughter has been there for a year and 9 months now and she absolutely loves it. The staff are incredible and create such a warm, caring environment for the children.
They provide healthy, cooked meals for lunch, which is a big plus for us as parents.
A special mention has to go to her key worker, Elle, who is amazing. My daughter absolutely adores her and it's clear how much care and attention she gives to the children.
Since starting at the nursery, my daughter has thrived developmentally and grown so much in confidence. We're so grateful for everything they do and couldn't recommend Tops Day Nursery highly enough.

Tops Christchurch has helped both my children immensly. For a parent to trust a childcare provider with their children is very special. I feel happy and confident leaving my children with their key workers and enjoy the daily observations. My children always come home happy and the staff are quick to

I'm impressed with the development of my daughter from the time she's started attending the nursery. The day review given during handover is super impressive.
Another noteworthy thing to mention is the Admin(Tracey). She always brightens my day as there's a solution to almost all that I bring to her.

My child has an amazing time at this nursery which is absolutely the main thing the staff are brilliant and know what he likes to do and are very supportive, the only slight thing for myself has been the administrative process from time to time, wrong hours planned. There were times were it was escalated
to the manager as it was not dealt with.
That said the last 2 queries were dealt with within 12 hours so potentially this has been resolved.
. Otherwise it's been a great nursery, I'm still glad he goes there but it's only fair to be honest in a review.

Great nursery, with team that cares and understands.
Carers are lovely and admin team supportive. Their hard work and flexibility allowed my kid to join the nursery and settle at his own pace.

My son has always been happy at Tops Christchurch. He walks in happily each day, and tells me little bits about his day at the end. He seems to be developing more each day thanks to Tops.

I can't think of a single thing that I would change about Tops in Bournemouth. We've been going there for almost a year and I've been so impressed with the care given to my son. All the staff are welcoming and friendly and I always feel so at ease discussing anything with them.
There is a vast range
of activities and facilities available (indoor and outdoor) so I'm never worried that he will be bored.
I especially love the events that parents can attend - it's so lovely to see his environment and what he loves doing. I'm also always very impressed with the food choices.
I chose this nursery for the convenience for work but we've stayed because I can't imagine getting any better care elsewhere.
