Tops Havant, formerly known as Trospacc Day Nursery, is a friendly, active nursery based on the grounds of Trosnant Junior School.

The nursery environment provides an excellent opportunity for your child to learn, play and communicate with other children and adults. This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

In October 2018, Tops Havant were the 1st nursery in the UK to be awarded the Surfers Against Sewers title of Plastic Free Schools.

Parents with their children placed with Tops will experience exactly what makes Tops Day Nurseries different and be offered flexible booking where they can book to the nearest 15 minutes.

Tops Day Nurseries has recently introduced a number of extracurricular activities for the children including: Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, meditation, yoga, Rugby Rangers, Boogie Mites, tooth brushing and much more.

During a child’s day at nursery, staff will record important information to share with families, such as sleep times/nappy changes and information about milk/food intake. This information is added to a daily report which is submitted onto EYLOG.

Tops Day Nurseries has introduced a no-added sugar menu to all nurseries, ensuring children start their time at nursery with a nutritional, healthy diet.

Parents and carers are welcome to call the nursery to talk to a member of staff about their child and day at nursery.

The nursery offers up to 30 hours funding which is available for two, three- and four-year-olds.

My 2year old started in January this year and he absolutely loves it the staff are amazing and the care they give the children is amazing I wouldn't send my child anywhere else he's learning has been brilliant.

My daughter loves going to nursery. She has formed a wonderful relationship with the team as have we as the parents. We feel well informed when we pick her up. I love the updates/photos we get. I always look forward to the photos and seeing what she has been up to.
The team offer lovely learning opportunities
for the children and I feel my daughter has learnt a lot with them in the short time she been attending (4 months at the time of writing). Seeing her progression with the assessments and reports helps me know what milestones to support my daughter with.
My daughter is a real foodie and the meal choices seem to be appreciated by her. The nursery opens at 7am supporting working parents.
The office staff are also very helpful and friendly. They helped me with my paper work to get the working parent funds. They are patient and made me feel comfortable to ask questions.
Thank you for all the hard work you put in to make my daughters experience at nursery a positive one.

All the staff here love what they do and it shines through in their work which in return shines through my daughter.
We've felt welcome from the beginning and everyone has gone above and beyond for me when my work schedule had to change due to personal reasons.
My daughter loves attending nursery
and always comes home with a lot to say about her day and the activities she's been up too.

Staff are always very caring and helpful at Tops Day Nursersies. Our son loves attending and is always excited to go to nursery. We are also very grateful with the variety of options for timings, and that the nursery is open early enough for me to get to work on time. Also love the variety of food option

The only thing I wish there was, was a form to fill in so that don't have a phone call for every minor bump to the head. I worry he has had a major accident when I get called at work and would be happy to just be told on collection - and maybe save valuable staff time too.

My 4 year old has been with Tops Havant for two years, and sadly August is his last month with them.
He had a big speech sound delay when he started, barely saying a word, and struggling in social situations. Tops have helped mould him into something amazing, his vocabulary and reading are excellent
now, and his social skills have improved dramatically under the guidance of the fantastic staff at Havant.
He is our first child so we really didn’t know what to look out for when it came to choosing a nursery/preschool, but we are so glad we went with Tops.
They have done so much for him and we would like to thank them so much, especially one staff member for the endless reports/plans and paperwork that comes with it.
Couldn’t recommend Tops Havant highly enough!

My twins recently started at Tops Day Nurseries: Havant at the beginning of April, along with my eldest son who has been there since September 2022.
As always, the team at Tops Havant have provided a safe and fun environment for my children.
They have taken my eldest child on two trips recently.
The first being the library, the staff read books and sang songs with my child and the second being a nature walk along the Billy trail to the shoreline.
Both of these have been outings that my son has thoroughly enjoyed.
The communication from the nursery is phenomenal and I know there is always a member of the team ready to answer any questions or worries I have. They are always supporting each and every child's needs ensuring their learning and activities are tailored to their ability and interests.
I love the bond all three of my children have formed with each and every staff member.
I wouldn't send my children to any other nursery in the area.

My daughter has been going to Tops Havant since January 2022 and has come such a long way under their care. Her speech has come on impeccably and she absolutely loved the staff in the investigator's room. She has moved into the preschool room this past January a couple of months early and whilst she
seems a bit sceptical she still seems to enjoy it and has lots of fun whilst learning loads. All of the staff are lovely and are so good with her. The only slight issue I have is that I wish communication was better. I’m not very good at asking for information (which I know is a fault of mine) but I wish they were more forthcoming with information and would communicate changes and progress more regularly. For example, my daughter moved to preschool room in January and I still haven’t been told who her new key person is. When she was moved to preschool room I was told it would be communicated beforehand and explained but I picked her up one day and she had just been moved. Overall, it’s a fab nursery

Our daughter is very happy and settled at Tops Bournemouth. She enjoys going into Nursery every day and we know she is cared for well and eats well when there. I would recommend The nursery highly to other parents.

Teachers are amazing, experts in children's care and lovingly. Good hygiene, good food habits, great environment and activities. A lot of fresh air for the children.

Tops Day Nursery has really helped for my son to be a bit more independent.
He's intolerant to cows' milk protein, but we never had any problems in the nursery because of this, they are very mindful and understanding.
When we had a difficult time because of teething and he was really fussy, they recommended
options to help him get through it.
They are always kind and helpful.

My son started this nursery in April 2021 and has completely thrived in the setting. He is profoundly deaf and so I needed somewhere that could accommodate his needs. The nursery as a setting and the staff as individuals have been amazing! They have all had extra training to understand his needs and
how his equipment works and his specialist teacher of the deaf said she was amazed that when she offered training to the setting, every single member of staff attended after hours as she has never had that uptake with any other setting. My son loves going there and gets excited every morning when he knows that’s where he is going, they do loads of activities with the children including cookery club and forest school. Would recommend this nursery to everyone. We love it!

I cannot fault this nursery and staff at all. They have all been very accommodating to my son who has really struggled to settle in as he has always been with me. They have catered to all his needs and have always kept me in the loop with what they are going to do to help settle him. They have not only
put my son ease, but me too. The staff have taken the time to talk to me about how he has is getting on and made suggestions for us to make the transition a little easier for him. My son comes out smiling, and although he still finds the drop offs difficult, I know as soon as I leave he is in safe hands and is going to have an enjoyable day.

My granddaughter started at Tops Havant in September 2021 and loved it straight away she settled very quickly in the explorer's room and always has a smile for the team who look after her and a lovely smile when I pick her up. The staff are very friendly and helpful they will go out their way to make
sure we are fully informed of how her days been and what she has been doing. This is an amazing nursery and the nursery manager and deputy manager have been very accommodating with my daughters shift work so I can regularly pick my granddaughter up with ease and also with supporting her dietary needs

I generally can not express how good this nursery is. My son has some additional needs but they cater for him perfectly and his keyworker is amazing and supportive! All the staff are really care for the children and support all there needs.

Amazing dedicated staff at Tops Day Nurseries: Havant Nursery. Our son has been going since February and he has progressed so much since attending. He is a lot more confident, will play with other children and is learning so many new words. The girls are great with keeping us up to date on what they
have been doing each day via the app. Very good food options are also offered as our son attends for lunch and snacks, which are varied with a menu sent out beforehand. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere safe for your children.
