The Old Station Nursery Heyford stands out as the only setting in the area that offers childcare all year round. The purpose-built, modern nursery is perfect for supporting families residing or working nearby. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. The nursery comprises of three rooms, each with age-appropriate resources and activities, and a spacious, secure garden area. Babies have their own warm and comfortable space, where they can explore and learn at their own pace, with access to soft play equipment, mirrors, musical instruments, and various other toys.

Babies proceed to the Tots' room, where they can experience more structured activities and learning opportunities. Children at around 3 years old progress to the Pre-School room, where activities revolve around their interests, and includes support in the to preparation for their next stage of education.

The nursery's ample outdoor space provides plenty of room for children to socialise, play and engage in exploratory activities with their friends. Additionally, the Heyford Park community offers numerous activities for children to enjoy.

Our daughter has been at Heyford Nursery since she was 15months old and has thrived in the Baby Room. All of the staff are so helpful and friendly and have gone the extra mile with helping with extra needs such as Physio appointments with learning to stand/walk as she had difficulty in this area and
also being extra attentive with feeding as she has struggled with extreme fussy eating and allergies.
I trust the staff like family and I'm so happy we picked this nursery for our little one. They have lots of activities like 'Boogie Beats' dancing and our fridge is full of art work. I like the updates and photos throughout the day on the app and can see how much she is enjoying her time.

My son Dheeran attends The Old Station Nursery and we are very happy with the nursery. The environment is very friendly and welcoming. The staff are very kind, polite and supportive to both children and parents.
They provide many activities that help children learn, play and grow with confidence. My
son enjoys going to nursery and always comes home happy.

My daughter has been coming to the nursery since September 2025, when she joined Tots and absolutely loves the place. She is very timid but now really starting to come out of her shell. She moved to Pre-School at the end of January and is adjusting well. The staff are so patient with her and her little
ways. She is a difficult eater and they are really trying everything they can to encourage and build her confidence with it.
I love hearing about her day and getting updates on the app, she comes out full of beans and it's such a lovely thing to witness.
The staff are also very understanding with parents too, they feel more like family which is so comforting. I couldn't recommend them enough.

This nursery provides everything I could ask for and more. The staff are fantastic. The enthusiasm and genuine care towards the children is exceptional. The amount of kindness and patience provided is amazing. My daughter absolutely loves it at nursery here and I honestly think she feels it is a home

Our child has been attending this preschool for over a year, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, creating a welcoming environment where children truly feel safe and valued. Our child absolutely loves going
each day and is always excited to talk about their teachers, friends, and the activities they've been involved in.
The program does a wonderful job of encouraging social skills, creativity, and independence through engaging, age-appropriate activities. We've seen so much growth in our child's confidence and enthusiasm for learning, which speaks volumes about the care and dedication of the team. It's clear that the staff genuinely care about every child and work hard to foster positive relationships among the students. We couldn't be happier with this nursery! The staff are absolutely amazing - kind, patient, and genuinely caring with every child. They create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere where little ones feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. The variety of activities they plan is fantastic - from creative
play and outdoor fun to early learning experiences that really help with development. The facilities are clean, bright, and well-equipped, making it a perfect environment for children to explore and grow. The meals and snacks provided are healthy, balanced, and freshly prepared, which is such a relief for parents who want to make sure their children are eating well during the day. Another big plus is that the nursery offers a first aid course for parents, which I found incredibly useful and reassuring. It shows how much they care not only about the children's safety but also about supporting families as a whole. Truly an outstanding nursery - highly recommended!

My son has been attending Old Station Nursery for just over 2 years. We have had a very positive experience and to say he loves coming here would be an understatement. He looks forward to attending every session and has come so far since joining. He has a medical condition and the manager and her team
have really gone above and beyond to make sure he's so well cared for, included and happy. We are coming to the end of our time at nursery and I will be very sad for him to leave. He is absolutely ready for the move to school though and that's all thanks to the staff who have made sure everything is in place for the next step. The recent focus on independence and phonics has been really noticeable. The additional activities offered here particularly Rugby Tots have also been a huge hit.
The staff here are more like friends and nothing has ever been too much trouble. I'm so grateful we have been able to have such a wonderful couple of years here. I really cannot recommend this nursery enough.

We feel very lucky that our son attends Old Station Nursery in Heyford. He joined the babies room in October 2024 and settled in really quickly. This is undoubtedly testament to the brilliant job the team do there to make it a fun, safe and stimulating environment for the little ones. They were also
brilliantly supportive of us as parents as we too navigated the tricky transition of our son going to nursery. The updates on the app are lovely to receive to see the fun things they've been getting up to and the skills he's gaining. And we also appreciate the events they organise like the Christmas party as it's a nice chance to meet other parents. Can't recommend highly enough!

It's the people at The Old Station Nursery that make this such a fantastic nursery. My daughter settled into the baby room immediately - napping longer on her first day than she ever had at her previous setting. I have no doubt this was down to the warmth of the team and immediate effort they made
to get to know my daughter and her needs. The nursery's communications are great, I am sent regular updates and photos through their app - showing everything my daughter has been up to, and skills she is working towards. I couldn't be happier with the nursery and given my daughters face at drop-off, neither could she! I would recommend OSN Heyford to anyone.

My daughter started at the Old Station in Babies Oct 2023 and has recently moved into the toddler room. She loves nursery and always has a smile on her face when I drop her off and when I pick her up. All the staff are lovely and go above and beyond, the activities they provide for the children are
always wonderful and well thought out.
The garden could do with a little makeover and make it less muddy.

My little one joined The Old Station Nursery at 10 months (January 24) for 2 days a week and has now gone up to 4 days. She really enjoys going and is happy when going in and coming out every day. They do so many activities, from spending time outside/little trips to the playground to music time and
crafts. She has developed so much, which is supported by the key person at the nursery (language, signing, confidence). Lots of updates are available on the app daily. I feel that she is very well cared for at the nursery, with all her needs met. The staff are lovely and are happy to answer any questions.

Our son has been at Old Station Nursery since January 2024, he started in the baby room and recently moved up to tots. He absolutely loves going to nursery. They seem to do different activities every day, I'm impressed with their ability to keep coming up with new ideas! They do lots of arts and crafts,
water play, and outside activities.
Every single member of staff we've encountered have been so lovely and professional and can't do enough for you.
Our son's current key person is just amazing. She is so lovely. She notices lots of little details and genuinely cares about our son. She puts loads of updates on the app which we really appreciate so we can see what our son is up to throughout the day.

Our son has been at The Old Station since the baby room and he is about to start primary school in September. We couldn't be more happy with Old Station, all of the staff are not only nurturing to our son but extremely supportive of us as parents. There are always different activities going on each
day and our son really enjoys the time he spends there. They have helped prepare him for school and also helped him to become a confident little boy who makes friends easily. I couldn't be happier with this nursery and always recommend it to friends and family.

Our little boy had the pleasure of attending Old Station Nursery for the last few months and we really have been blown away with how the nursery looks after the children! Our son spent his time there with the wonderful tots team and the nursery as a whole is run truly magnificently. Their attention
to detail from the setting they provide, to the activities they put on is first class. Even minor details like taking all the children on a lovely daily mile walk and everybody in the room waving goodbye in the evenings is so heartwarming. It gave us such reassurance that our son was in the best level of care, we only wish we would pick it up and move it with us! Thank you again to all the staff, you should be so proud of this nursery!

I can't rave about The Old Station Nursery and its staff enough. I have 2 children there, one currently in babies, and another that started in tots and is now in preschool. They both settled in quickly and had a great time. Always happy to go in, always sad to come out but happy to tell me about the
adventures of the day. Preschool has helped my oldest flourish. She loves learning and has progressed immensely. I'll be really sad when she leaves to start school and she'll miss the staff a lot. There is a big focus on outside time as well as quieter play inside (I wish the garden was a little less muddy - but when she comes home muddy she's had a great day!). I recommend the nursery to anyone asking for where to send their children! Can't wait to see my youngest flourish in the same way my oldest has.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery for around 18 months; we have particularly enjoyed the baby's room experience. We have found the staff extremely friendly, caring and attentive, and they are a huge credit to the nursery - we already miss this team a huge amount, and I’m sure our daughter
does too! We’ve both equally been really pleased with the care provided to our daughter during her time here, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to place their children here, especially from a young age, as it’s such a safe and pleasant environment.
