The nursery building is spacious, with a bright interior and a beautiful outdoor play area. It comprises of three distinct rooms, each designed to support the developmental needs of children in different age groups.
The qualified and passionate nursery team is committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages the growth and development of every child.
For children under two years, a secure and comfortable room is offered, with soft play equipment, mirrors, musical instruments, and other educational toys to facilitate exploration and learning. Activities are tailored to the individual needs, interests and abilities of each child. Toddlers can progress to a slightly more structured room with age-appropriate resources, such as books, painting materials and a 'home corner' play area.
As children approach Pre-School age, they advance to a dedicated room where the team help them to prepare for primary school. My daughter has been at the Old Station Nursery since she was one year old, and I've always felt well supported by the caring, diverse, and friendly team. As she leaves preschool, I feel emotional yet grateful for their love and care, which I believe they extend to all children. I hope to stay connected and highly recommend it to parents. As a Muslim parent, I appreciated their commitment to our dietary requirements. The year-end/ Christmas parties were very joyful, and the air-conditioned rooms provided relief during the heatwave. They always speak positively about each child, highlighting their unique qualities. We received a heartfelt card from a team member in the baby room, expressing appreciation, which moved us deeply and reassured us when we were new parents.

My son has now been attending Old Station Nursery Oxford for 5 weeks and it has been such a smooth transition....on what is a huge routine change for us as a family everyone in the baby room has been fabulous....from the updates on his day to day moments too the care and attention they give to him from the moment we walk in, in the morning. Looking forward to seeing my son develop as he attends more and seeing what the future holds.

We love it here. The home cooked meals and the friendly staff make it feel like home from home. My 2 year old loves it. She started in the baby room and is now in Toddlers, growing in confidence every day - The transition was brilliantly managed.
She plays outside all the time, does Sporty Minis weekly and yoga sometimes too. She does lots of baking and the usual painting and reading activities. The atmosphere is one of calm and I love that they all sit down to the table together to eat like a little family. Super cute! Regular pictures on the app are great to see and updates of what she's had to eat make me quite jealous! The staff are really friendly and caring, and have a good sense of humour which makes for a really positive atmosphere.

My daughter absolutely loves the Old Station Nursery at the Oxford Science Park. The staff are all amazing, caring, friendly and can form lovely bonds with the children. I admire their creativity when setting up various activities and my daughter always tells me about all the fun stuff she has been up to- be it cooking, baking, gardening, creative play with play dough, painting. She also loves sports and yoga class and music! Overall, we are very happy and can't be thankful enough for all the support the nursery provides to our family.

Having had a very negative experience with a previous nursery, we were looking for somewhere colourful, caring, and nurturing - enter OSNO. During the tour we witnessed first hand how much they clearly care for their charges when a child became upset and was calmed and cared for beautifully. I knew I'd feel safe with my daughter being there. It is a vibrant, engaging, fun environment and we loved the free flow between the toddlers and pre schoolers via the outdoor area. There is a great carer-child ratio, and though every child clearly bonds to their key worker there is a great dynamic where the staff look after each other and each other's charges too. Communication with the manager is very responsive and friendly, and our daughter adapted so well and happily going from one on one nannying to two days, we're already moving her up to three. The previous experience was disheartening, so to find OSNO is a blessing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other similarly nervous parents!

Both our children have been at OSN for 3+ years and in that time we have not had a single complaint. We have found the service and care offered to be of the highest standard and our children love coming to nursety each day. All the staff are outstanding and we cannot fault them!

The facilities are spotless and open ended play is supported. We love that the different stations are rotated around. Communication with our key person is excellent too. We had a few initial billing hiccups (promptly resolved!) and would love to see even more healthier options for tea and special occasion 'puddings'.

The variety of educational and development focused play is brilliant and shows a deep understanding of early years educational requirements. Our child is always happy going in and is very well settled and bonded with his key person. Having an on-site chef is a great bonus for quality, nutritious and varied meals. The chef is also very attentive to the children which is lovely to see. Management are easy to reach and responsive to any requests. We highly rate and recommend this setting.

Our daughter began in the Baby Room of the Old Station Nursery at age 11 months, progressed through the Toddler Room and is now in the Pre-School. Throughout her time at the Old Station she has benefitted from extremely attentive care, wonderful learning opportunities and building positive relationships with both staff members and other children. She is a very happy, confident little girl and we attribute this in no small part to the support and encouragement that she has received from the Old Station Nursery staff. We enjoy receiving regular updates through the Parentzone website and app, and appreciate the detailed reviews of our daughter's learning and development that the team complete for her every six weeks. I would recommend the Old Station very highly to any parents who are looking for childcare.

We have been using the Old Station Nursery Oxford for 18 months now and have only positive feedback! The team are incredibly friendly, caring and supportive; the nursery is well-equipped with great indoor and outdoor facilities; the quality and variety of meals and snacks is impressive; and the location is excellent. My son's development has taken leaps and bounds since joining the nursery, and the staff are always helping to focus on developing new skills and hitting milestones in a fun and engaging way. While the nursery is very expensive, information about government funding and childcare support is well-communicated and easy to access, and the nursery manager goes above and beyond to support families navigate the available options.
Overall, we are extremely happy with the nursery and know that every day our son will be safe, supported and having fun with his friends.

Our son has experienced both the toddlers room and the pre-school room at The Old Station Nursery and has enjoyed his time in both. The facilities are impeccable, the food delicious, and the staff go above and beyond in every area possible including helping the parents understand the PHD level...
Our son has experienced both the toddlers room and the pre-school room at The Old Station Nursery and has enjoyed his time in both. The facilities are impeccable, the food delicious, and the staff go above and beyond in every area possible including helping the parents understand the PHD level mathematics involved in calculating monthly invoices when funding and child care vouchers come into play. Staff also understand the complex emotions that toddlers and pre-schoolers go through and quickly recognise if something seems slightly off. They genuinely care and work with parents to provide to best possible environment both at the nursery and at home for all children. We would love for our boy to spend his remaining time before primary school at The Old Station Nursery but unfortunately we have had to move to another county. If we were staying, our youngest daughter certainly be enrolled into this nursery. Thank you so much to all the incredible staff at The Old Station Nursery.
