My son attends the preschool, and I was quite anxious about sending him at first. However, the entire Mama Bears Midvale team have been incredible in supporting this transition - both for my son, who absolutely loves it there, and for me, making sure I feel comfortable and supported every step of the
way.


The staff are amazing with my little boy, and I couldn't have asked for a better setting for him. His speech has come on so much since joining, and the team have been wonderfully attentive to his eczema, medications, and dietary needs. They also provide so many wonderful opportunities for learning - from creative arts and crafts, to exploring different textures, and enjoying outdoor adventures.


I'm so grateful to see my son thriving in such a caring, nurturing environment. I truly cannot thank the staff enough for their ongoing dedication and support.

Well, where do I start with Mama Bears on midvale road. My eldest son attended this preschool from the age of two until he was ready for big school, and the exceptional, caring, loving care he received was out of this world. He displayed some advanced learning and the nursery created a lovely plan to
help push my sons learning so he was definitely ready to start reception. Throughout the time I got pregnant with my second son, the nursery demonstrated a level of care that I still hold extremely close to my heart, I had my baby very early and was extremely pooorly, but the preschool was there. They helped in more ways that I could imagine. Because midvale road staff showed this extraordinary dedication it was solidified that my baby would also attend mama bears. So at the age of two, little Fred started, and we will never look back. Professionalism with his meds, love for him, care for him, you're my hero's.YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!!!! THANKYOU!

Staff & management are very friendly, welcoming and approachable. Always come in to an lovely clean space with lots of toys and activities available. Food always smells great whilst cooking away when dropping off and they have a good variety of meals/snacks throughout the day. The only negative I can
voice is that sometimes the app is not updated until the very end of the day once collected. However I know my child is safe and well looked after in there care and this just means that the staff are not constantly on a ipad etc logging events which is a positive. The most important thing is that my child is well cared for throughout his time spent there. The staff genuinely care about you and your child and have a great relationship with the regular staff I see. I would recommend mama bears, long road to anyone asking.

My child has great relationships with all staff and enjoys coming to nursery; they are also great with the parents. I'm always kept up to date on what he has done throughout the day, and the learning activities always seem very educational, as my child seems to be thriving and leaves nursery knowing
something new regularly. The manager is lovely and will help where available. Overall I think Mamma Bears is a great nursery.

My daughter joined the nursery half way through the year after already having a nursery due to moving home and settled in so quickly, thanks to the amazing staff. Everyone is so friendly and took the time to really get to know her, which made her feel welcome right away and put my mind at ease knowing
she was in such safe hands. The drop off and pick ups are brilliant the staff always take the time to give a detailed handover about her day. As well as receiving updates through the day on parent zone. The communication is always spot on, and it's clear how much they care about the children.
My daughter speaks so highly of many of the staff members at home and is always happy and excited to go to nursery. I couldn't ask for a better nursery.

My daughter has been going to Mama Bears since she was 10 months old and I've always felt completely comfortable and confident leaving her there. She loves going in each day, and the staff are so friendly and caring. The communication is great and it's a really warm and welcoming place.

I was very nervous to start my child at nursery. From the first day my son attended the nursery everyone working there made me feel better about leaving him with them and helped to settle him into his sessions very smoothly, they adapted to his needs with things such as a separation plate at meal times,
and always let me know if he's having a bad day (which as a mother I appreciate so much) he leaves nursery happy and excited and he is always learning new songs and skills. I receive lots of pictures via the app to see him enjoying his day and I always receive a clear update on what he has eat/drank and done during the day. They are very good at recognising when he is tired and working around his unpredictable nap schedule. My child loves all the staff at this nursery and he genuinely learns lots and enjoys his time there. He is very lucky to have such great, caring and loving team of people look after him and I'm extremely glad I chose this nursery

I did a lot of research to find the best nursery for my son to attend in Torquay, and Mama Bears has not disappointed. The nursery practitioners clearly love what they do, and I can see how much they care about my son when they tell me about his day. They are extremely communicative, and I get regular
updates on nappy changes, meals, nap times and snapshots of what he's been up to. It took a couple of weeks for him to settle as he's only a year old, but now he absolutely loves going, and barely looks back as he puts his arms out for his key worker. I highly recommend Mama Bears, Torquay!

This is a wonderful nursery, my 1 year old currently attends and my 4 year old has just left for primary school and both have been so happy there. All the staff are wonderful, Vicky and the team are so friendly, welcoming and care for the children so well. The baby room team are so nurturing and caring
and do such great activities with the little ones. And all the staff in the big room prepared my daughter so well for the transition to school. The app is fantastic, the staff upload all the daily info on food, sleep, nappies and I really love the photos and updates on their developmental progress. I highly recommend Mama Bears Torquay.

Our son (2 1/2) has been attending since 10 months old. He loves going to nursery and names all staff as friends he plays with. All staff are kind, loving, nurturing and understanding, not only of the children, but also of the parents.
If upset at drop-off (at the start or due to changes at home) staff
have given lots of attention and effort to settle him quickly. Also, when this has upset me staff have taken the time to let me know he was happily settled playing/reading.
The activities are engaging and varied, he has developed and learnt so much during his 3 days a week at nursery. He eats well and has a healthy and varied diet.
Staff try to spend as much time outside with the children as possible, which is great, especially for high energy boys, such as mine.
Recently some fantastic internal promotions have been made which has made me even more confident about sending my second boy in the new year.
The staff make this nursery and I would highly recommend it to any parent.

Both of my boys attended this nursery, and I couldn't be happier with the experience they had. From day one, the staff at every level were absolutely amazing - caring, supportive, and genuinely dedicated to each child's development. There was always a wonderful variety of activities and learning opportunities
that kept the boys engaged, curious, and excited to go in every day. The nursery played such a big role in shaping who they are today - confident, kind, and ready to take on new challenges. The team helped make their transition to school completely seamless, and for that I'll always be grateful. I can't recommend this nursery enough for any parent looking for a nurturing, stimulating, and joyful start to their child's learning journey.

My daughter has been coming to this nursery for a while now and we both absolutely love it. She got a bit upset at the start (normally for most children) but she soon grew to settle in and now loves her nursery days. I feel so relaxed when she is in there knowing the workers really do go above and beyond.
It is a really safe, warm, supported, happy and fun place for me to drop my daughter off and I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

This nursery is absolutely incredible. Every single person is always so friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond. The change even weekly I see in my daughter is brilliant. It's so nice to have the peace of mind that she's being taken care of and having the best time

Everyone at Mama Bear Nursery is so friendly and really makes you and your child feel welcome and at ease. We would highly recommend this setting. Our daughter has made so many friends. Become so confident and we know when we drop her off that she will have lots of fun and learn lots too. We cannot
fault this setting and so pleased we chose here for our daughter. She has been attending since 9 months old and is now 15 months old.
