Both my children have always loved going to nursery here. Staff are excellent - caring, friendly, kind and take very good care of the children and plan wonderful activities. Communication is very good and they do a lot each day. My oldest has learnt so much here and made wonderful friends and I know my youngest will too. A big thank you to all staff for everything you do!

Dear parents, please be aware of this nursery as in first place has a advertising with 3 groups but in reality and confirmed in emails there are just 2. So my son was moved to preschool group at 2 yrs and 4 months where because of the negligence of the staff was "traumatised" by the older boys as 4-5 yrs. When I start to question the manager I been told that my son has some spectrum problems. After almost 6 months (every time when I seen a mark on my son and asked all has been denied), my son finally show me how one of the older boys is hitting repetitive on his head. Of course I asked and was kind of half denied, no CCTV in nursery and I decided to stop bringing there. After almost 6 weeks he not covering his head when he sees peers and his behaviour definitely is changed. As you can imagine the procedure complain not working in this faimous nursery so I am hoping that the Offset will reflect the reality.

Our 4yo loves mamabears nursery, she has been since she was 1yo. She has made some lovely friends since being there and has got on really well with the nursery staff, she has lots of fun and is well looked after, they always update us with photos.

My son started Mama Bears in June 2026 at the age of 2½, he's been there for a few months now and he has settled in so well! The staff are wonderful, friendly and caring towards children and parents. Nothing is too much of an ask! My son always comes home beaming with stories from his day!

Amazing nursery with wonderful staff. I would definitely recommend them to any parent

Our son started at Midvale earlier in the year, as any parent would be, we had all the usual worry's, but we honestly didn't need to at all. The baby room girls have been amazing. I would like to give a special thanks to Libby (sons key worker) and kamara (sons favourite person). For their amazing work with our son. He had a tricky time over the past term and the nursery have done amazing in suggesting and listening to ideas of how we can manage the behaviour he was displaying. No review would be complete without mentioning Josh. This man is Midvale version of Mr Tumble and is the heart of the nursery. He's the sort of staff member you want to bump into when dropping your child off, as you know your child is going to have a great day. His rapport with parents is amazing and always has time for a chat, catch up or even just to be an ear if you need a vent or just to pour your heart out to about your troubles. Also want to thank the nursery for helping us with unexpected childcare needs.

My son has been coming to Mama bears since he was just over a year old after not a very nice experience with a childminder, This nursery have been not only good for our son but amazing for me too after our previous experience. They are always so lovely on drop off & pick up. Our son has come on leaps & bounds and has made very good connections with all of the staff. We cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for us as a family. Our son loves it there & asks everyday to go to nursery. He will be staying with them until he is old enough for school, we recommend them to everyone.

Our daughter started at mama bears on Midvale Road at the start of the year. From the very first meeting we completely fell in love with the physical nursery space (especially the huge magnolia tree in the garden) and the wonderful staff, with honourable mention to our little girl's key staff member- Emily. Emily and all the nursery workers are tireless in their efforts to support children to flourish into little people with active imaginations, excellent manners and skills to help reach and exceed all goals. The nursery is organised and supportive, as flexible as they can be and keep the children at the heart of everything they do. Nursery manager Josh is one of the most fantastic individuals in child care I've ever met! My daughter comes home and tells me about the friends she has made, the books she has read, the time spent playing with water outside and most importantly the lunch and tea she has had!

This is a fantastic nursery and the staff should be proud of what they do.

We are so happy with our mama bear team! Our toddler loves going there and we are very pleased she's having the best start at socialising and making her own friends and memories. They also do so many fun and interesting activities that aim to nurture the kids' curiosity and imagination which we really appreciate! Mama bear's go above and beyond with celebrating key multi-cultural events that really broadens the little ones' horizons and enables them to grow in an inclusive, loving and respectful environment. On top of all of that the nursery has been offering free parent workshops (during which childcare is free so that parents could pop in on their days off) and resources on various topics which have been tremendously insightful and increasingly generous! We are super happy and grateful - would highly recommend mama bear's!!

We couldn't be happier with this nursery! The staff are incredibly caring, friendly, and professional, and they genuinely go above and beyond to make sure every child feels happy, safe, and supported.

Our 4 year old daughter has grown so much in confidence and development since joining. The nursery provides a wonderful range of activities, encourages learning through play, and creates such a warm and welcoming environment.

Communication with parents is excellent, and it's clear that the children's wellbeing and happiness are always the top priority. We feel completely confident leaving our child in their care.

Highly recommended to any parent looking for a fantastic nursery - truly the best!

My son is starting this month as well, and we're so excited for him to join! I couldn't recommend this nursery enough to any local parents.

We love this nursery. They're so flexible and accommodating, and the staff are lovely. My little one has settled in so well that he doesn't even look back now, he just runs straight in!

We also love seeing him taking part in so many different activities. There's always something new and creative going on, and seeing the photos of what he's been up to always makes us smile. It's such a nice feeling knowing he's happy and comfortable there.

I've been really happy with my son's time at the nursery. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful and supportive, and they have always taken the time to listen to our needs and respond promptly whenever I've had any questions or concerns. The staff have always kept me up-to-date and have made me feel involved in the care and development of my son. I really appreciate how approachable and caring everyone is, and it's reassuring to know that my son is so well looked after. He has settled in so well and genuinely enjoys going to nursery, which means a lot for me as a parent. My son also absolutely loves the other kids and the parents are also very friendly. The hours that the nursery offers also worked very well for me as a full time working single mum. The fees are very reasonable compare to other nurseries.

We're really happy with Mama Bear Nursery and so glad we chose it. I would definitely recommend it to friends, colleagues and other parents!

Overall we have been happy with Mama Bear's as our daughter developed good relationships with the staff, and always has a nice day with lots of fun activities that boost her learning. However, the app is not updated regularly with food or sleep, so that impacts on planning dinner and our evening routine. Another difficulty is that it is a one in, on out system at reception, unlike other nurseries where parents can go in simultaneously. This is difficult with drop off when we have to go to work. I appreciate this is to do with space and not physically being able to, but it can be frustrating when you are in a rush and there is a queue. I think the queue would be quicker if staff did not need to do a verbal update during handover if parents would have been notified by the app more efficiently.

My little one has been attending this nursery for a month and has already adapted incredibly well and fast, reaching out for his key person at drop off and loving exploring new games. The team in the baby room are fantastic - very caring, kind, engaging and communicative. I'm excited to see him progress even further over the coming months with their support.

Our son has been at Mama Bears Totterdown since January 2026 when he was 12 months old. He settled in quickly and now loves going. All the staff are amazing. Our son wears hearing aids and all the staff, including the nursery manager have been amazing at accommodating his additional needs.

My son has had a fantastic preschool experience at Mama Bears which is set him up brilliantly for the transition to primary school in September. The staff there are brilliant and in the time that I have been there there has been very low staff turnover. This has meant that my son has been able to form strong bonds, not just with his keyworkers but with a number of the adults there. I don't think a single session has had to be cancelled this year due to staff sickness/shortage etc and they were very understanding/flexible over heatwave guidance. The kids do a really fun range of activities and he comes home with lots of new knowledge. Nicola and team have transformed the space - it's a really beautiful place to be and the big outdoors space is fantastic for energetic kids. They recently held a beautiful graduation for preschool kids, and it was very clear to see the care the team takes to support the children.
