Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Clifton - Whiteladies Road)

We have been attending mama bears for 1.5 years and our second is due to start later this year. Our eldest started in the baby room when he was 1 and is now in his third room. He has gotten on very well with his key workers and all of the staff. Early on they all knew his name and would say good morning when we arrived. All of the staff have been amazing with him. The updates at pickup each day are thorough. Our son is quite accident prone so they always take the appropriate action and will call us to inform us of an incident if necessary or talk us through it at pickup. The app is great as you can record your child as dropped off or picked up, they post updates on their meals, how much was eaten, their nap times, accident forms are logged on there, nappy changes are logged and you get photo updates so you can see what activities they have done in the day. All of the children love the outdoor space and the see saw! It's a great atmosphere and environment, I would highly recommend it.

We took our son to Mama Bears from when he was 4 months old and Louise, Oliwia, Maddy, Nell, Lauren and the whole team made him and us feel super welcome and relaxed. He absolutely loves it there always getting very excited as we walk in each day. The team are extremely flexible and very helpful whatever situation we faced. Cannot recommend enough and particular shout out to Louise, Oliwia and Maddy for being so amazing with him during the days themselves. The only reason we are having to love nursery (a huge wrench for us) is because a place has become available at a nursery that is 15 minutes closer. For 2 working parents this makes a big difference, but we are absolutely gutted to be leaving. Thank you so much!

Both my children have attended this setting for several years and have thrived. The care and attention of the key workers and staff have been brilliant. Mama bears have offered flexibility for me as a parent and have taken the time to get to know the children individually and work towards their development. From drop off where the key worker takes initiative for hesitant children to do 'busy jobs' or 'tasks' to the end of day overview sharing highs and lows of their days and what they have been focusing on. Forever grateful

Our son attended Mama Bears for nine months, and we honestly couldn't have been happier with the care he received.

The staff were always warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in his development. He grew in confidence, made lovely bonds with the other children and the team - he blew them kisses, continued playing when we came to collect him and ran in for hugs at drop off.

We only made the difficult decision to leave because we found a nursery closer to home, otherwise we would have loved for him to stay. We're truly grateful for the wonderful start they gave him and highly recommend them to any family.

My son started at the nursery two months ago and he's settled in so much more quickly than I thought he would. The activities keep him entertained all day, he loves the staff in his room and he's really happy there. I have complete peace of mind that he's being cared for while I'm at work by a team of staff who genuinely want the best for him. The daily updates on the app are also really reassuring.

Our daughter continues to thrive and be happy within the setting. She has developed strong relationships with staff members and her peers. All aspects of communication are of a high standard. We are kept fully up to date with her day-to-day experience and individual learning story. Our daughter’s early years needs are being met in a warm, safe and nurturing environment. Thank you.

We have been so impressed with all the staff at Mama Bear's Day Nursery. They have made my son and our family feel so welcome at the nursery and made his transition into the setting as smooth as possible. He is happy and his preferences are all catered for. He is really thriving and developing really well. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming. My son loves the garden and the sensory room especially!

All in all, I’d 100% recommend!

The girls are so caring, always available for hugs and quiet time and the room ratio means my son always has someone to comfort him/pay close attention to him. Mama Bear's admin staff are very responsive and helpful and try their best to accommodate any extra sessions we request. The nursery has a homely feel, and all the staff there feel like an extended family to our son. We really appreciate all their hard work in creating this space for him when he's away from home.

They do a variety of activities for the children throughout the day. They also seem to provide well balanced meals. The stay-and-play events are also very well organised and great chance to see the children in their childcare setting. Overall we are very happy with the care.

I would definitely recommend Mama Bear's to anyone looking for a nursery; they are flexible and have great hours for working parents. We feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful environment for our son.

Very satisfying experience so far. Our daughter has been going twice a week for 3 months now and seems to be very happy there while making a lot of progress. The staff are very nice, care about our requests and keep us updated with how the day went.

Our son has been at Mama Bear's for over a year now since he was about 7 months old, and has settled in brilliantly. He’s made friends and loves the practitioners, always comes home tired but happy, the updates and pictures sent throughout the day are great too!

Her moving on is down to a range of factors but ultimately not a reflection on the staff or the care shown to our daughter. If it were simple logistics we'd keep her put and have no intention of moving her we really do recommend this placement for any other parent.

Our son has been attending the nursery for a few months. He started with a few afternoons a week and is now going four full days each week (as I've returned to work). The staff have been so accommodating of the transition in terms of helping our son feel more comfortable away from home, with carers other than his parents for the first time. The staff are incredibly attentive and responsive. For instance, our son has almost always done contact naps at home and the nursery has helped transition him from contact naps (which they did in the beginning with him) to independent naps. Whenever I pick up my son, he is engaged and busy! Or if not busy, then getting cuddles. I also really like the updates on the app. Thank you to the wonderful staff in the baby room for taking such good care of our son.

When we found Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Clifton - Whiteladies Road) we were so relieved. The flexible booking system has been so helpful and the staff are always so friendly and caring. They really put me at ease on my baby's first day and in every visit after, we always pick them up with a big smile on their face.
