Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Shirehampton)

My son has been attending Mama Bears for a year now, he enjoys going and seeing his friends. He has come on leaps and bounds since attending Mama Bears. I was really nervous for my son to attend nursery but the staff are very caring and accommodating, I feel relaxed with my son in their care.

My son has been at the nursery since September 2025 and since starting has progressed massively with his development and speech. Initially he was unsettled when first starting but now he is really enjoying his time here and this is down to the staff. The staff are lovely and work very hard and I am happy to leave my son in their care. I would ideally like to see more entries on the app as when I am working i would like to see how he is getting on! However when picking up my son I get a detailed description about him and his day which I massively appreciate. I would highly recommend this nursery. Thank you and I appreciate what you all do

My child has great relationships with all staff and enjoys coming to nursery; they are also great with the parents. I'm always kept up to date on what he has done throughout the day, and the learning activities always seem very educational, as my child seems to be thriving and leaves nursery knowing something new regularly. The manager is lovely and will help where available. Overall I think Mamma Bears is a great nursery.

My daughter speaks so highly of many of the staff members at home and is always happy and excited to go to nursery. I couldn't ask for a better nursery.

My daughter has been going to Mama Bears since she was 10 months old and I've always felt completely comfortable and confident leaving her there. She loves going in each day, and the staff are so friendly and caring. The communication is great and it's a really warm and welcoming place.

My daughter really enjoys going to nursery. She's always happy, safe and comfortable going here. She has improved and developed so much that I couldn't be more grateful to this nursery. Staff are all really caring, understanding, and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I would recommend sending your children here

I love the fact they do mini get together and activities for the kids the welcome party for new parents to view was a great way to meet all the staff and children before making a decision. My daughter loves this nursery and I wouldn't change her can't wait to see her grow more through her journey.

I was very nervous to start my child at nursery. From the first day my son attended the nursery everyone working there made me feel better about leaving him with them and helped to settle him into his sessions very smoothly, they adapted to his needs with things such as a separation plate at meal times, and always let me know if he's having a bad day (which as a mother I appreciate so much) he leaves nursery happy and excited and he is always learning new songs and skills. I receive lots of pictures via the app to see him enjoying his day and I always receive a clear update on what he has eat/drank and done during the day. They are very good at recognising when he is tired and working around his unpredictable nap schedule. My child loves all the staff at this nursery and he genuinely learns lots and enjoys his time there. He is very lucky to have such great, caring and loving team of people look after him and I'm extremely glad I chose this nursery

Since my child has started in September it has been the best thing for him, he loves nursery, he loves everyone there, all the staff go above and beyond, I wouldn't have him anywhere else, everything they do is amazing, and I couldn't be more greatful for what they do! I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you so much, it's such a comfort knowing how safe he is when I'm at work.

My twins have been attending this nursery since April 2025 and absolutely always look forward to going to nursery. The staff are super friendly and hardworking. Thank you for everything you do to stimulate learning and genuinely care for our children! We appreciate everything you do for them

My boy has been coming here since he was about 18 months old, he will be 3 very soon, and he absolutely loves it here (his sister also came here a few years back). I dont have a bad word to say about mama bears. He comes home with new stories about what he has done and what he has eaten with a big smile on his face. The staff are so kind, genuine and caring. I feel he is in safe hands with them and he is looking forward to coming even more next month! A special shout-out to the specific staff members who he speaks about a lot at home (and asks when he will see them again). Thank you to everyone at mama bears who makes him feel special.

I've had an amazing experience with the nursery so far. The staff have been brilliant in helping my son settle in. Everyone is super friendly and very welcoming to me and my son when we enter the nursery.

Without this nursery I would be unable to work, the team enables me to leave my child knowing he is safe and having fun. I think as mums we deal with a lot of guilt with putting our children into childcare, it definitely makes me feel at ease and allows me to focus on work while I'm there. Staff is lovely. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We have had the best start possible with this nursery. Absolutely loving seeing our son grow here and getting to know the staff. It has felt very easy to feel settled and at home for all of us! We appreciate the care and support for our son that the staff have shown, and the creative fun they provide. The regular updates on the app really are really useful in keeping up to date with his day at nursery and phone/e-mail communication is always excellent!

My son loves going to Mama Bear's nursery Shirehampton. All staff is very friendly and have helped him get settled in and become more confident. He loves playing indoors with all the different toys and varied activities and going to the garden with his wellies. As parents, we really appreciate very much their excellent communication and frequent updates during the day.

We are really impressed with the nursery, this is our first child and first experience with a nursery. Everyone is great, the team get on really well with our child, and we feel that we have great communication from everyone working at the nursery. Really nice place for your child to go to nursery. They try to do a great range of activities and are keen to get the children outside to play, which we love.

Every single drop off/pick up is an absolute pleasure. Each member of staff takes the time, consideration, and patience to learn about the children in their care. My daughter loves attending the nursery and I’m safe in the knowledge she’s given the utmost care. I sincerely couldn’t imagine having my little one in any other nursery. All members of staff are truly passionate about what they do and I’ll always be grateful to them for helping my daughter come on the leaps and bounds she has since being there. You’re exactly what every nursery should be.

I chose this nursery due to my older child attending previously and I was super pleased then. And again, I am very satisfied with this nursery. All the staff is super friendly and I’ve never had any problems. It’s been smooth sailing for my daughter's 2 years here. My daughter enjoys the food, and the activities and likes the staff. She’s learned so much here and it’s completely helped with her confidence around other people. She enjoys telling me about her fun day on the way home.

Have been using this nursery for several months now. He absolutely loves going and can’t wait to get in the door. The ladies always seem to be happy and enjoy their work. Lots of things for the children to do/play with including outside areas that they can access whatever the weather (provided you’ve given them coats/hats/wellies). Any admin questions are always dealt with very promptly. Really happy with the nursery, think being around other children and having that extra support with learning has helped with his confidence in a big way.
