Both my children have always loved going to nursery here. Staff are excellent - caring, friendly, kind and take very good care of the children and plan wonderful activities. Communication is very good and they do a lot each day. My oldest has learnt so much here and made wonderful friends and I know my youngest will too. A big thank you to all staff for everything you do!

Our 4yo loves mamabears nursery, she has been since she was 1yo. She has made some lovely friends since being there and has got on really well with the nursery staff, she has lots of fun and is well looked after, they always update us with photos.

We are so happy with our mama bear team! Our toddler loves going there and we are very pleased she's having the best start at socialising and making her own friends and memories. They also do so many fun and interesting activities that aim to nurture the kids' curiosity and imagination which we really appreciate! Mama bear's go above and beyond with celebrating key multi-cultural events that really broadens the little ones' horizons and enables them to grow in an inclusive, loving and respectful environment. On top of all of that the nursery has been offering free parent workshops (during which childcare is free so that parents could pop in on their days off) and resources on various topics which have been tremendously insightful and increasingly generous! We are super happy and grateful - would highly recommend mama bear's!!

We love this nursery. They're so flexible and accommodating, and the staff are lovely. My little one has settled in so well that he doesn't even look back now, he just runs straight in!

We also love seeing him taking part in so many different activities. There's always something new and creative going on, and seeing the photos of what he's been up to always makes us smile. It's such a nice feeling knowing he's happy and comfortable there.

I've been really happy with my son's time at the nursery. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful and supportive, and they have always taken the time to listen to our needs and respond promptly whenever I've had any questions or concerns. The staff have always kept me up-to-date and have made me feel involved in the care and development of my son. I really appreciate how approachable and caring everyone is, and it's reassuring to know that my son is so well looked after. He has settled in so well and genuinely enjoys going to nursery, which means a lot for me as a parent. My son also absolutely loves the other kids and the parents are also very friendly. The hours that the nursery offers also worked very well for me as a full time working single mum. The fees are very reasonable compare to other nurseries.

My little one has been attending this nursery for a month and has already adapted incredibly well and fast, reaching out for his key person at drop off and loving exploring new games. The team in the baby room are fantastic - very caring, kind, engaging and communicative. I'm excited to see him progress even further over the coming months with their support.

Our son has been at Mama Bears Totterdown since January 2026 when he was 12 months old. He settled in quickly and now loves going. All the staff are amazing. Our son wears hearing aids and all the staff, including the nursery manager have been amazing at accommodating his additional needs.

My son has had a fantastic preschool experience at Mama Bears which is set him up brilliantly for the transition to primary school in September. The staff there are brilliant and in the time that I have been there there has been very low staff turnover. This has meant that my son has been able to form strong bonds, not just with his keyworkers but with a number of the adults there. I don't think a single session has had to be cancelled this year due to staff sickness/shortage etc and they were very understanding/flexible over heatwave guidance. The kids do a really fun range of activities and he comes home with lots of new knowledge. Nicola and team have transformed the space - it's a really beautiful place to be and the big outdoors space is fantastic for energetic kids. They recently held a beautiful graduation for preschool kids, and it was very clear to see the care the team takes to support the children.

My children both look forward to going to nursery. The staff are great and kind. They devise lots of interesting activities for the children. There is a lovely big garden for the children to play in. I would recommend this nursery.

Mama Bears is a very welcoming nursery that my children enjoy coming to. The staff are all lovely and caring and make such an effort to really know the children. The children do a variety of different stimulating activities which they love. I would recommend this nursery to others.

We couldn't have asked for a better nursery for our daughter. From the very first day, all the staff made her feel safe, happy, and loved. Over the past two years, she has grown so much in confidence, learned so many new skills, and made wonderful friendships.

We have had a really positive experience with the nursery. The staff are excellent - warm, caring, attentive and clearly committed to creating a happy and supportive environment for the children. Most importantly, our son is very happy there and always seems settled, well looked after and excited to go in. We are very grateful for everything the team does.

Our son has been at Mama Bear on Thicket Avenue since he was just under a year. Now he's turned 3, is in the pre-school room and thriving. He's developed strong connections to the staff, especially Jasmine and Alice when he was in the Bouncies Room, and he's transitioned very well into pre-school. The staff are very helpful and encouraging, probably teaching him stuff before we even are! The overall setting is really nice, separate rooms based on age but they also have opportunities to mix around. There's a lovely outdoor space too, and even a sheltered outdoor patio for those iffy-weather days.

My daughter has attended Mama Bears since she was 10 months old. The staff are warm and welcoming and take the time to really get to know your child. My daughter loves going to Mama Bears and she is absolutely thriving there. Would definitely recommend.

I would highly recommend to anyone looking for nurseries!

My eldest has been at Mama Bears for 2.5 years, through every group from babies to pre-school. My youngest has been in the babies group for 6 months. I cannot speak more highly of Mama Bear's, particularly the staff. Every single one is engaged, lovely, and adored by all the kids. Transitions between groups have been managed really well. They are also super flexible with things like adding extra days outside our usual schedule, not paying full price for holidays etc. The only downside is a small-ish outdoor space (although the kids always seem happy enough playing there and running around)
