Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Fishponds)

My daughter goes to Mama Bears in Fishponds and couldn't love it more. She is a shy child and sometimes can struggle in loud environments with adults. However the nursery staff have always been amazing at tending to her needs and settling her in. And helping ease our anxiety too by being such friendly and kind people. We are incredibly happy with the care she receives when she's at nursery and love seeing on the app photos of her. The nursery has outdoor space which they utilise with the children daily and are always doing fun activities. Our little girl is thriving at this nursery and we would recommend it to anyone.

I couldn't be happier with Mama Bears Fishponds. The staff are incredible, so kind, caring and engaging with the kids. My daughter had such an easy settle in and absolutely loves it here. I get updates through the app on her day, often including photos of an activity they've done together. She's thriving here and I'd recommend the nursery to anyone.

Our son loves this nursery, he has so much fun and has a great relationship with all the staff. We're very happy with the care he receives. The staff are all friendly and we're really pleased that there is good retention.

We have two children who have attended Mama Bears, Thicket Avenue. The staff have always been lovely with the children and both our kids have thrived in the environment. They've accommodated all our requests around routines, milestones etc. and have been very attentive with our children. It is a great setting with a spacious outdoor play area. Would highly recommend.

Overall, we're thrilled with our choice of nursery. It's become a place where our daughter flourishes, thanks to the caring and dedicated staff. Thanks to the manager and everyone else for making her time here so special!

I would be very happy to recommend Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Thicket Avenue) to other parents. Our daughter started the nursery in the baby room and is now in preschool. This is the only nursery setting that we have experienced and we feel so lucky to have got a place for our daughter here. As she has grown up, the team at Mama Bear's have helped our daughter to grow in confidence. She has been encouraged and supported to develop key practical skills, which has really helped with transitional phases, such as potty training. The staff clearly put a huge amount of work into the range of creative and educational activities. We receive regular updates and communications about our daughter's development and feel confident that she is being prepared in the right way for school. Our daughter always skips into nursery with a smile on her face and talks about nursery fondly while at home. Thank you!

As a family, we have had experience with five early years settings and we couldn’t be more pleased with how wonderful Mama Bear's Day Nursery, Thicket Avenue have been. The staff in the baby room show such care and attention to detail with our son. Despite him only attending the setting one day a week, they know him extremely well, catering to not only his needs but his interests too. He loves the adults at the setting and they go above and beyond to share his learning with us through snapshots. Leadership seems extremely strong here and communication is excellent. We would wholeheartedly recommend this provision!

So, happy and confident when dropping my son off knowing he will be cared for and well looked after as well as will have a fun day.

I have had two of my children attend this setting, they are amazing, have been extremely supportive and friendly and have been helpful to me when I have emotional and stressful times. The staff are extremely helpful and caring and would recommend to any parent looking for a setting where they would feel supported and provided with any help with any issues they may be struggling with.

My son absolutely loving it going to Mama Bear's Nursery in Hillfield the amount of activities they do is amazing. He loves the fresh food he can have and the fact that the staff working there is always happy and smiley. I recommend it to everyone I know.

A well set-up nursery with plenty of outdoor space in which the children spend good amounts of time. The staff are excellent, take a real interest in my children and are spoken about fondly by them when at home. The variety of activities they undertake day-to-day is great, and the communication from the nursery staff and managers has always been very good. They make good use of the app to keep you informed.

Mama Bear's welcomed our child when we moved to the area. The new management is friendly and chatty at drop-off and pick-up. The app used for food, nappy and activities is really helpful in understanding how our child is doing.

Mama Bear's have been so accommodating to us in the last five months. Our 1-year-old child had to be put into child care at the last minute as our previous carer fell ill right before my wife was to return to work. Obviously, we were extremely nervous, however, we were quickly put at ease. The staff have been nothing but lovely and are always available to talk about our child's progress and development. Our child has come on leaps and bounds, not only becoming more confident with other children and adults, but also with his motor skills and speech. The nursery provides meals and regular updates via the Parents App, giving you everything from nappy updates to photos of their activities during the day. We couldn't be happier with the nursery and feel it is one of the best decisions we have made.

I am truly grateful to the ladies here for their hard work throughout the year.

We couldn’t be happier with the care our son receives at at Mama Bear's Thicket Avenue. He’s been attending for a year and we’ve seen him come on leaps and bounds in play, concentration and interest in adult-led activities. He’s a smart, ‘spirited’ boy and can be a pickle - always able to sniff out and cause mischief but this has always been handled with humour and addressed with him in the same way we would and they have nurtured the personality. He constantly tells us how he loves the staff, his friends and Mama Bear herself (not so great when he kisses any Mama Bear's sign he can reach, including on cars, when we’re out and about). He’s happy, he’s learning and he is being excellently cared for. I remember being very nervous about starting him at nursery, this being the first time he’d been outside of family care ever but I have zero reservation about sending our baby there when I go back to work. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Our little one went here from the age of 6 months to 2 years. We couldn't have had her in a better nursery or being looked after by better people. Her development during her time there was amazing and the support and care shown by staff was beyond, even now the manager still helps with support and advice when needed. Our child was always happy to be there and seemed to be growing and learning at rate faster than we thought which is thanks to everyone at Mama Bears and their dedication to the children. All the team are great not just with the children but with the adults as well and all of us will miss them.

Since my youngest has started Mama Bears Thicket Avenue he’s come on leaps and bounds. He’s doing really well with his potty training thanks to the help of the staff. He really enjoys nursery and he loves the staff. They are really helpful and caring. He thoroughly enjoys going and I can’t fault the staff. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of sending their child here. We enjoy all the pictures and videos of what he’s doing in school and it’s great to see him having a fun time. If I have any issues I know the staff will be approachable and understanding. My son does have a bit of a tantrum going into school on the odd occasion but the staff were amazing at directing his attention to something else and making him feel more comfortable.
